Alex and I were waiting by the curb to be picked up by his mom. Both of us were in a bit of an awkward state. It didn't effect our friendship, but neither of us addressed the fact that we had kissed. For like a full minute.

The car rolled up and we packed our things into it. We sat together in the backseat. Both listening to music and occasionally texting each other about certain things. The ride was only about an hour long, which was good because I hate long car rides.

We evantually reached his house. It was relatively large and placed in a quiet neighborhood.
"Welcome to la casa de Gaskarth!" Mrs. Gaskarth joked.

I moved into the guest room with everything I needed for five days with... Best friend? Boyfriend? I don't even know. I unpacked all of my things and looked around the hallway. Mrs. Gaskarth had given me a map of the hallways and I located Alex's room. I knocked on the door four times.
"Come in!" I heard a muffled voice yell.

I walked in to find Alex with an open suitcase on his bed shoving certain outfits into certain dresser drawers.
"Hey," he greeted me. I took a deep breath to prepare myself for the conversation to come.
"Alex, we need to talk." I stated.
"About what?" He asked.
"About those two kisses we've shared," I said anxiously.
"Oh..." His voice trailed off into the distance.
"I'm not telling you off for them, just trying to understand where this puts us. On, you know, the spectrum." I tried to sound as calm as possible.
"Well just tell me where this puts us. I'm okay with anything as long as it involves us." He replied.
"Those kisses have been the best moments of my life," I confessed.
"Me too," he confessed with me.
"Will you be my boyfriend?" I asked. The question just slipped out of my mouth. I wasn't even planning on asking him out.
"Of course," he whispered and took me into his arms.

Our next kiss was the greatest of my life.
