Okay, I thought to myself as I looked in the mirror, I look okay. I had been waiting for Halloween for quite some time now. I was invited to a party with Alex and his roommate's band would be performing at said party.

I didn't know whether it was a costume party or not, so I just decided to wear my costume anyway. I was going this year as a giraffe. Yup, a giraffe. I had a giraffe print t-shirt and giraffe ears that I wore. I decided to just wear a pair of skinny jeans with that and call it a day. I turned my head towards the door as I heard knocking. It was four sharp knocks in a row. That meant that Alex was here to pick me up. We have our own secret knock to let each other know who we are.

"Hey," I said as I checked out his costume. It was pretty sick, I'm not gonna lie. He had zombie make up on all over his face and fake wounds all across his body. He wore torn up clothes which made him look hotter than hell.
"What's up ms. giraffe?" He asked me.
"Not much, just finished up getting ready," I replied to him.
"So are you two dating?" I heard a voice pop up from the back of my room. It was Angela. She had finished putting on her slutty bumblebee costume. Of course she doesn't talk to me on a regular basis, but once there's something to gossip about she's all over it like flies to a fresh piece of shit.
"Nope, we're just best friends," Alex replied for me.

We walked out of the campus and were trying to find where this party was taking place. Alex needed to call Jaime to find the address of the house. After a "Hello. Where's this party at?" A "Yup" one "Uh huh" and "Thanks man, bye" we found the house. They had an iPod connected to a speaker blaring music that people were dancing to. There were refreshments and alcohol which inevitably meant that nearly everyone at the party was drunk. Jaime ran over to Alex and started talking to him about everything to do with his set. Apparently, Pierce the Veil would be playing at 8 o'clock and it was currently 7. I grabbed a can of soda from the refreshment table, opened it, and hit the dance floor.

The music they played was not my cup of tea by a long shot. Pop and dance was blaring through the speakers. However, most of the population of the party were drunk, so no one noticed when I pulled the iPod off of the dock and replaced it with my own. My Blink playlist was the first thing I played as I assumed it was the most party-friendly. Alex approached me when he realized the music change.
"Somebody's a little bit sneaky," He joked.
"It's for the best," was my only rebuttal.
"Oh that's for sure," he agreed I mustered up the courage to ask him a simple question.
"Where's JoAnn?" I asked.
"Oh, she went trick or treating in her dorm with a few of her friends." He seemed totally okay with it. Hey, I was okay with it too.

At that moment an extremely drunk Jack Barakat stumbled into the house.
"Hey you guys, I heard there was a party here." His slur was nearly incomprehensible. I nodded as Alex replied.
"Hell yeah, man!"
"I like the music choice," Jack added.
"Thank her for that," Alex said, pointing at me.
"Thank you," Jack said to me. I nodded and we all began to dance, jamming out to all our favorite Blink songs.

At 8 o'clock, four kids took the make shift stage that had been set up. The shortest one of the group spoke up first.
"Hey guys! I'm Vic. That's Tony, Jaime, and Mike. Collectively we are..."
"Pierce the Veil," the four shouted in unison.

So I'm dreadfully ill and I'm not gonna be in school today. I'll probably update like a million times.
