The leaves were beginning to turn from green to a plethora of reds and oranges. They were all crunching underneath my feet as I headed to my geometry class.

I was excited for geometry for some reason. My teacher sucked, we never learned any of the material that was on the tests we had to take, and I was currently failing. However, there was a ray of hope through all of this. I had this class with Cindy and Jack.

Cindy had originally introduced me to Jack because the two of then were friends, but Jack and I instantaneously became best friends. I think I realize why we click so well with each other. We both have the greatest senses of humor the world has ever seen. Cindy was in full support of our constant joking around as she would defend us when we got into trouble with the teacher.

I reached the mathematics building and grabbed an elevator to the third floor where the geometry room was. As I walked, I met Cindy in the hallway.
"Hey, Lex!" She exclaimed exuberantly.
"What's going down Cindaquil?" I had nicknamed after my favorite pokémon, Cyndaquil.
"Just about to learn my shapes," she said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.
"Maybe after this lesson you can tell a square from a circle," I joked.
"No but for real, what are you going as for Halloween?" She asked.
"Oh crap that's in a week!" I remembered.
"I'll take it you don't have any plans," she cut in.
"That's where you're wrong," I said "my roommate invited me to a Halloween party."
"Cool. I'll sneak in with you," she stated.
"Sounds like a plan," I said as we entered to room.

"You will never guess what just happened," Jaime excitedly said as I entered my dorm room.
"I agree. I'll never guess," I said as I grabbed a soda from the fridge and reclined on my bed.
"Pierce The Veil is performing at the Halloween party I invited you to.
"No way, man! Amazing!" I replied. I was genuinely excited for him. It was amazing to see one of my best friends advancing in the music industry.
"And that's not the best part," he was jumping up and down from excitement.
"What is?" I asked.
"We've got a demo CD," he handed me a disc."Here's one for you to keep.
"Thanks man," I replied as I looked at the track listing.

I hope you guys don't mind all the PTV references, but they're necessary for a plot point later in the story. Also, my busy long weekend is over! I should update about twice a day.
