Max and Bella stared at each other for a short moment, then Max smiled.
"Would you like some tea?" she asked and gestured for Bella to come inside.
"So you’re not completely american" Bella said and walked inside. Max rolled her eyes and and tried to ignore her comment. Bella looked different. Or she still looked the same but there was something different with her.
"I like your new hair color" she said and looked at Max, but max heard she just said it to mention it. She didn’t mean it at all.
"How are you? How’s England?" Max said and poured up water in tow cups. Bella shrugged.
"It’s the same, same old town, same old people" she said.
"Met any new people then?" she asked.
"No" she answered and took her cup. Max really tried to hold a conversation with Bella. But it was hard. She wanted to tell her the truth as well, but if she did it would probably come out that her engagement with Alex was a fake one. Even if she did love Alex. She didn’t want to risk that.
"So how long have you known Alex?" Bella asked, and went right to business. She looked at Max with narrowed eyes.
"Do you remember I used to have a best friend when I was little?" she asked.
"Yeah, some boy named…" she began and stopped when she remembered that it was Alex. She stared at Max.
"So you’ve known him for so long?" she asked.
"Not really. We used to be best friends, then he moved away and we lost contact… Then we started to talk again and.. You know" she said.
"So your hate towards All Time Low and all… It was just fake?" she asked.
"No that was real. I don’t like their music. Not much at least" she said and shook her head.
"So you’re engaged to the vocalist of a really popular band, and you don’t even like their music?" she asked, and stared at Max.
"They really try to make me like their music, it’s jut that I don’t really like it. I prefer old rock and roll" she said.
"So you prefer Bon Jovi over All Time Low?" she asked.
"Every time" she answered.

They looked at each other and then Bella sighed a little.
"I have to tell you something" she said.
"And what is that?" Max asked and sipped a little on her tea. She looked at Bella and Bella looked a bit nervous.
"I’m… I’m pregnant, and I haven’t told anyone except the father" she said.
"You’re pregnant?!" Max gasped and stared at her. Bella nodded and swallowed nervously.
"Yes I am, a little bit over three months" she said.
"I was planning on selling this house, but if you’re going to have a kid you might as well have it. You need a house if you’re going to raise one" Max said and smiled. Bella stared at her and smiled.
"So you’re moving permanently to Baltimore?" she asked, and Max nodded. They talked for a while about what Bella wanted to do, and then it hit Max. She had no idea who Bella might have been with.
"Who’s the father?" Max asked and looked at her. She couldn’t really think of anyone that Bella could have been with. But then again. She had no idea Bella even had a sex life. And just like that they heard a knock on the door. Max looked up and out towards the hall.
"I think that would be him" she said and looked nervous. Max had this feeling that she wouldn’t like this. The look in Bella’s eyes was just… Weird.
"It’s open" Bella called and they heard that he walked inside.
"You’re not alone?" the familiar voice said. Everything inside Max turned upside down. She felt like puking. But she just sat there with the back against the almost stranger. She threw the keys at Bella and then she hurried past the man before he could see who she was.
"Wait" Bella called but Max jumped inside her car and drove off. She didn’t get far though and she stopped the car. She crawled over to the other side of the car, opened the door and felt how everything she had in her got up. She puked and felt disgusted. Not only was Bella with an older man. It was her father. Not Bella’s father. But Max father. She let out a sob and covered her mouth. Her best friend was sleeping with her father. And was waiting his baby. Max was going to have a brother. Or a sister. Her best friend carried her sibling. She hurled again and more of her stomach contents left her mouth and out on the ground. She let out a cry and puked again when she thought about her best friend sucking the dick of her father. The one man she never liked. the one man that had hurt her. When she felt a little bit better she picked up her phone. She pressed down on Alex named and heard the dial tones.
"Calling again?" Jack teased and Max took a deep breath.
"Can I talk to Alex?" she said and tried to sound normal.
"Hey, what’s going on?" Jack asked, and sounded worried.
"Jack, just let me talk with Alex" she said and a small sob left her mouth.
"Max?" Alex asked when he got the phone.
"I’m buying a ticket home right away, I’m coming home" she said and let out a small sob. He was quite and left the room, and then he took a deep breath.
"What is going on? What happened?" he asked.
"I got back here, and I met Bella" she said.
"Did she say something?" Alex asked, and sounded worried.
"She’s pregnant" Max said and let out a sob again. She started to cry and she could hear that Alex was confused.
"Okay?" he asked.
"Het new boyfriend… is… is… my father" Max said and hurled again, because she felt disgusted.
"oh my god" she heard Alex whisper.
"I want to come home" she said and started to cry.
"I’m here, just come back. Come back… home" he said and she could hear that he was happy that she called him, and his place, home.
"I’m sorry for calling you when you’re having fun with the guys" she said.
"It’s okay, I don’t want you to be sad" he said and she heard him smile.
"I feel sick" she whispered.
"I can understand that. Just book a ticket back, send me the time when you land and I’ll come and pick you up" he said.
"Okay, I will" she said and nodded.
"The others says Hi, and… I love you" he whispered.
"I love you too" she whispered back.
