Alex walked in and he laid himself down next to Max in the hospital bed. He let out a sigh and he curled up to a ball and laid his arm over her legs.
"What are you sighing you then?" she asked and put down her phone.
"We’re going back on tour again tomorrow, but I want to stay here" he said.
"Why? You have to do your job" Max said.
"Because I rather look after you right now" he muttered. Max chuckled and shook her head and continued to listen to the song she was listening at. Alex looked at her and he liked her smile right now.
"Please tell em that you’re smiling because you’re listening to my pretty little voice" he said, and grinned a little.
"You wish, but no. I’m listening to Hoffmaestro" she said and handed him one of the earplugs. She restarted the song and Alex listened.
"You like this song?" he asked and looked up at her face.
"Like it? I love this one. It’s my favorite" she said and giggled, and he was surprised by her wide smile and sparkling eyes.
"What’s the of the song?" he asked.
"So Do You" she said and smiled.
"I like the lyrics" he said and chuckled.
"I like them as well, he’s being… honest" she said and smiled again.
"We’re moving you to Baltimore today, so that you will be in a hospital where I actually can go and see you, since our tour ends next week" he said.
"Okay" she said and smiled.
"And about the plastic surgery… you’re still up for it?" he asked.
"At least when it comes to my face, and I want to see what they can do about my shoulders but I’m not sure about it" she said.
"Why not?" Alex asked and looked at her, and she gave him a weak smile.
"Because I’m not sure if I want to change myself, change something that is a part of who I am" she whispered and looked at her hands.
"Whatever you’ll pick i’ll still like you" he said with a grin and she looked at him.
"well thank you" she answered and poked his cheek.


Getting to Baltimore felt good, it was a week after Alex and Jack finally had found her and her wounds was slowly heeling. Today, for the first time, Max was going to see her face and new scar. A nurse gently pulled the bandage away and looked at it.
"It looks well" she said and smiled. Then she handed Max a small mirror and Max looked at herself. She bit her lip when she saw the big scar on her cheek. It looked awful.
"How long would it take to fix this?" she asked and looked at the nurse.
"It will only take a few days" she said and smiled.
"And my back?" Max said and trembled a little.
"The doctor is going to take a look at later" she said. Max nodded and put down the mirror, and the nurse left her alone in the room when she finished putting back a bandage on her cheek. Today Alex and the others was going to play here in Baltimore and she was stuck in a hospital.

They had almost finished their set for tonight when he smiled and looked out over the crowd.
"Would you mind if I did an acoustic song, that is not ours?" Alex asked. the crowd cheered and didn’t seem to mind.
"Right now my beautiful and wonderful fiancé is in a hospital, getting ready for surgery and I want to cheer her up" Alex said and smiled. the crowd looked at him, some cheered and some whispered. Suddenly on a big screen to the left side of the stage, Max appeared. She was in her hamburger tank and shorts and looking in through the webcam. Matt was next to her and he had a huge grin on his face.
"Oh my god, I’m on the screen" she said and Alex laughed.
"Hello love" he said.
"Why am I on the screen? Shit… I look awful" she said and hid under the blanket. Matt laughed and pulled away the blanket so all could see her again.
"I wanted to cheer you up a little, so I decided to sing you a song" he said and smiled. She stared at the screen and looked surprised. He placed an acoustic guitar strap over his shoulder and looked into the camera. then he started to play and Max covered her mouth. It was So Do You.
"You know the song, it’s your favorite" Alex said and smiled.

Alex finished the song and he looked over at the screen and Max was still covering her mouth, and she was all teared up and smiling. Matt hugged her and stroked her back.
"Oh my god Gex" she said and let out a small sob.
"See you later" he said and winked. The crowd cheered and the screen was turned off.

She must have fallen asleep because suddenly she woke up to the sound of all the guys coming in to her room.
"Oh, did we wake you up?" Jack asked and looked at her.
"It’s okay, it’s pretty early anyway" she answered and sat up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Alex. He was standing behind everyone and smiling, and he looked at her as well.
"So where is the next show?" she asked and looked at Jack and Rian, who sat down on the couch she had by the window.
"Philadelphia" Zack answered her. and sat down as well. Alex still stood just inside the door and smiled. Max looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
"What are you waiting for? Come sit" she said and patted next to her. Alex chuckled but he walked over and sat down on the bed next to her, gently laid his arm behind her shoulders and leaned back.
"You sang So Do You" she said and looked at him.
"I did" he said and tried not to grin too much.
"I didn’t expect that" she said and laughed a little as well.
"Well I gotta do something to cheer you up" he said. They were too busy to notice that Jack took a picture of them and chuckled, and posted it on Instagram.
