Hospital

Alex stared for a few seconds on the house that was before him. Where the fuck had the app lead him? Jack stared as well and then they all hurried inside. The door was open and they looked around. It look abandoned.
"You guys upstairs. Jack… you’re coming with me" Alex said and walked inside and looked around. Then he heard a familiar cry. Running down the stairs to the basement, seeing a furious Bri raising her fists and a Max that just sat there and had given up completely. She stared into air and had empty eyes. Alex threw himself at Bri before she could hit Max and Jack hurried over to Max.
"Shit" Alex heard him say and he turned around. Now he saw what was really going on. Her right hand nailed up on the wall, the blood from a wound on her forehead and then the marking that looked like it had been burned into her skin. Seeing the hook next to Max made him know that it really was like that. Bri had burned her face.
"Alex, call for an ambulance" Jack said and looked at Alex. Alex just stared at Max and had no idea what to say. No idea what to do.
"ALEX" Jack growled and both Max and Alex jumped. Alex picked up his phone and he called for paramedics and told them what had happened, they would also send a police car for Bri.
"Fuck, I can’t get it out" Jack said and tried to get the hook out from the wall. Alex swallowed and he walked up to them. Max looked up at him with her brown eyes and he felt so much guilt. He swallowed and placed his hands over her eyes.
"Close your eyes, don’t look" he said, and then reached for the hook and pulled it out together with Jack. She cried out and Alex wrapped his arms around her.
"It’s okay, it’s okay" he said and hugged her. She didn’t even cry. She just sat there.
"It’s okay" he whispered and closed his own eyes. This time she moved closer and hugged him back.

When she opened her eyes again she was seeing a strangely white ceiling. She was dressed in her pajamas and around her wrist she had a hospital bracelet. When she came back to exploring the room with her eyes she saw that Alex was there. He was sleeping on one of he biggest couches she had ever laid her eyes on. It was way to big to be a a hospital couch. Then she realized that the room was really big as well.
"Where the hell am I?" she whispered. Then she saw she had bandages over her hand, over her foot and she raised her free hand and felt on her face. She had a bandage there as well. She swallowed and teared up. Not only was she forced to deal with a scar on her neck and shoulder. Now she had to deal with a scar on her face. It hurt to think about it. Just the thought of people staring at her, giving her disgusting looks like they did in the beginning of her first scar. There was a reason she had long hair for goodness sake. She let out a small sob and wiped her eyes. Alex looked so calm and relaxed on the couch. She wiped her eyes again and removed the blanket that was gently laid over her. Jumping on one leg, with the blanket in her hand, she jumped over to the couch and sat down on the couch. Alex didn’t even wake up when she gently laid herself down between his legs and leaned her chest against his belly. She moved in a hand next to his side and closed her eyes, just feeling the closeness and warmth from him. The blanket over them both felt nice, and she felt… safe.

She woke up to the feeling of someone stroking her back, and her hair. And the sound of some people talking. When she opened her eyes just a little she saw that Alex was awake and he was talking to Jack, who had occupied her bed. Rian and Matt was sitting on the huge couch and Zack was nowhere to be seen.
"Well looks like the princess is waking up" Jack said and Max could feel Alex moving a little underneath her. She rubbed her eyes and looked at him and he gave her a small smile. He still looked worried and scared, but not as much as he had when he had walked down to the basement.
"What happened to Bri?" she whispered.
"She’s locked up again, and will face prison" Alex said.
"Prison?" Rian asked.
"She tried to burn down my house, well she did… and now she kidnapped Max. She’s going to prison for a long, long time" he said. Somehow Max felt relieved of hearing that, but at the same time she felt sorry for Bri. She was just in love.
"How are you?" Alex asked and brushed away some hair from her face.
"Tired" she said and yawned a little.
"Well your body did take a lot of punches and pain" he said and sighed. She closed her eyes and hid her face, and he looked at her. A bit surprised.
"What?" he asked.
"Now I have to deal with a scar in my face as well" she sobbed and bit her lip.
"You don’t have to worry about that" Alex said.
"Of course I have" she said and looked up at him.
"No you don’t, because I knew you would be troubled by it… So I might have fixed it" he whispered. She looked at him.
"What?" she asked, and was really confused.
"The magic and wonders of plastic surgery" Jack said and smiled. She looked at Jack and then at Alex. He nodded.
"If you want to, they could take a look at your neck and shoulders when your wounds have healed" Alex said and looked a bit nervous. She just stared at him. She could get rid of the scar… just like that?
"Just like that?" she asked.
"Just like that" Jack and Alex said together.
