And Tell Me You Love Me

I Can't Stay Away

Alex

"Jack, are you okay?" I asked as his eyes grew wide as he stared of into the distance.

I had no idea what he was looking at, but it looked like it had terrified him completely. I glanced back behind me and I saw someone darting out the front door. My gaze went back to Jack and he was frozen. I waved my hand in front of his face and he blinked and looked at me.

"W-what?" He asked me, his voice cracking slightly.

"What just happened? You zoned out and were starting to scare me," I said reaching across the table and taking his hand into mine before stroking it softly. His eyes stared down at our hands and he smiled softly.

"I just saw one of my brothers over there. They know nothing about us because my family really hasn't been very accepting of the fact of homosexuality. I never came out to them and the only person who knows is May, my only sister," he said glancing down and frowning.

I hooked a finger under his chin and pulled it up to where he was looking me in the eyes, "That's stupid if they don't accept you for the way that you are. You're their son. Parents should accept their children no matter how they are. I know mine didn't like the idea at first, but they learned that they would just have to get used to it."

"I know, but most families aren't like that. My family may seem perfect in every newspaper, magazine, tabloid, that you see us in, but truthfully we're not. My family is probably twice as fucked up as everyone else's is. I just want out of that life. All I've seen is how money can possess and destroy you," he said shaking his head and frowning.

"I kind of understand where you're coming from. I don't know from experience, but I do know for a fact that money can get to your head. That's the way I've been with it. When I get my hands on it, I don't really think about where it should be going, but instead, what I can get with it that I want," I sighed and he nodded his head.

"Just think about where I'm at being one of the heirs to my father's company," he said sighing before he called over the waitress and asking for the bill.

His words rang through my mind and I began to wonder, did he hate the fact that his family is wealthy?

His hand was intertwined with mine as we walked through the dark of the park. The various streetlamps were the only thing guiding us on the path and as we made our way through the night. No words had been exchanged between us since Jack paid for the bill, but there really wasn't any reason for them to be. I could tell that he was already dreading the fact of leaving me, but I knew that he wouldn't tell me about it.

"Jack..." I trailed off and his doe brown eyes met mine.

"Yes, Lex?" He asked me and I stared at him for a moment.

"You know... If you don't want to go home and face the music tonight, you could stay the night with me. My house gets pretty lonely when I'm by myself at night and I wouldn't mind letting you stay. It's the least that I could do," I said, feeling my face heat up as I tried to explain what exactly I meant.

"I-I would like that," he said smiling softly at me. I was pretty sure that he was blushing, but I just couldn't tell for sure.

"Awesome," I said smiling as we began to head towards my house, our conversations silenced once more.

"You can have the bed and I'll sleep on the sofa," I said pulling a blanket down from the closet and plucked one of the pillows from my before glancing back at him. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, a look that resembled a confused child sat on his face.

"No... No, I don't want to be a burden. I'll just sleep on the couch," he said standing up and tried taking the items from my hands, but I resisted.

"Jack, you won't be a burden. I just thought you'd be more comfortable in the bed," I said and he sat there for a moment like he was thinking.

"How about we just both share the bed? We both can get what we want that way and we don't have worry about either one of us sleeping on the couch," he suggested and I sighed before throwing the pillow back onto the bed and putting the blanket back into the closet.

"I like that idea a little bit more anyways," I said and I heard him laugh.

When I walked back into the room I stripped down to my boxers and climbed under the covers only to have Jack join me a few moments later. He gave me a small smile as he stared at me with his bright eyes.

"Thank you, for everything," he whispered.

"My pleasure, Jacky," I said smiling before I reached over and turned off the light, setting the room into pitch darkness.

I rolled over to where I faced away from Jack and a few moments later I heard the blanket shuffle once again and an arm wrapped around my waist. Jack's breath ticked the back of my neck and I let off a small sigh.

"Goodnight, Lex," he whispered softly in my ear.

"Goodnight, Jack."

This is legit one of the best Jalex stories ever written. You two collabed so well together, it was so beautifully written and the plot was perfect. I really hope you (both or separate) two make more stories because this was an amazing creation ♥♥
