Better Off This Way

“C’mon man, hurry up!” Jeremy yelled from the front door of the bus. I hopped in behind him with my bags in hand. Neil was running out of the front door with his bags and he got onto the bus.

“Jesus,” Kevin laughed, “I thought you were going to make us late again.”

“Hey,” Neil argued, “We weren’t late, we just weren’t early.”

“Whatever.” Kevin rolled his eyes at him.

“Alright babe, let me show you to your bunk.” He nudged me. “Unless you want to share.”

“I still have to keep my clothes somewhere.” I giggled.

“Well we can always cuddle,” he set his bags down on his bunk and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Guys, can you please stop flirting?” Shelnutt whined.

“Shut up Nutt.” Neil shot him a look. “Well, we’ll be in Bloomfield tomorrow. Then I can introduce you to the other guys that we’re touring with.”

“I’m looking forward to it sweetie.” I kissed him quickly. I went over to the empty bunk that he told me was mine. I got settled in quickly and didn’t even notice that the bus was already moving.

The day went by in a flash; soon we were stopped for dinner. We were in some town now and we were going to stop in for a quick bite at a Thai and Sushi restaurant. Neil held my hand the whole time and only let my hand go when he opened up the door.

“Table for how many?” The woman at the front asked.

“Oh, we already have a table.” Jeremy spoke up for our group. “We’re meeting,” he scanned around the room, “those guys over there.”

He pointed towards a table of four guys who looked like they were of Mexican descent. She nodded and watched us make our way over to the table where they were sitting. We took the open seats and Neil started to talk first.

“So guys, this is my girlfriend Blithe.” He introduced me to the other guys.

“Well I’m Vic,” he introduced himself, “and this is Jaime, Mike, and Tony.”

They were all interesting and had visible tattoos, except for Vic. I smiled at them and picked up my menu to see what they served. After exploring the menu for a while I felt a hand on my thigh.

“What are you getting?” Neil whispered in my ear.

“I’m not quite sure yet.” I whispered back.

“What are you guys whispering about?” A man, well Jaime I should say, butted into our conversation.

“We’re talking about what we’re going to order.” Neil whispered back to him.

“Well there’s no point in whispering anymore.” I laughed at the two of them. Neil was always cute when he was with his friends. Well, at least when I observed them. But come to think of it, he was always cute when I was around.

“I guess not.” Jaime agreed with me.

“Well anyways, do you know what you’re going to order yet?” Neil brought up the question once more.

“Why don’t we share a sushi platter?” I suggested, after all, I was in the mood.

“Alright,” He set his menu down and moved his hand up my thigh.

Lunch was over as soon as it started and the afternoon practically flew by. It was almost as if the first day was never even here. I decided to get ready for bed. I traipsed my way into the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I opened the cabinet and reached for my toiletry bag that was sitting inside. I removed my makeup first and then got out my toothbrush. I wetted it and added the toothpaste. As I brought the toothbrush to my mouth, the bathroom door opened.

“Hey,” Neil placed his hands on my hips.

“Hi,” I tried to say but my mouth was full of toothpaste and a brush. I looked at us in the mirror, a happy couple that has been together for two years.

“I’m happy that you’re touring with us this time.” He hugged me from behind.

I just smiled since I couldn’t talk. I spit out the toothpaste and rinsed my mouth with some water. I put my toothbrush back into my bag and then placed it back inside of the cabinet where it belonged. I turned into his arms so I could rest my head against his chest.

“I can’t wait until you meet the other guys tomorrow.” He rubbed my back. “This is going to be a great tour, I can already feel it.”

“Me too baby, me too.” I mumbled.

Sorry that the ATL guys haven't been introduced yet, but I promise that they're going to be in here starting the next chapter! And I hope that you guys end up liking this story but I knew that I had to jump onto the whole House Party fic train. Anyways, comment and shit, I just want to know what you think.
