"Hey, Jack, there's a party tonight at one of my uni friends apartments, I was hoping you'd come?" She says down the phone to the boy that was going to play such an important role in her life's plans.
"Okay, sure I'll come. Sounds fun." He says back down the phone.

"Great to see you Maddie" a short brown haired girl shouts over the music.
"Yeah, you too. This is Jack by the way" she shouts back.
"Let's dance Jack" Maddie says pulling his arm away from the other girl
After hours of dancing together, Jack decided he was bored.
"Let's go on the roof" he shouts into Maddie's ear
"Okay, I'm not sure. But ok!" She says back
Sitting on the roof staring at the stars twinkling in the night sky Jack mutters " I love you" keeping his gaze on the stars.
" I love you too, I think"
" what does that mean?" He says frowning
" I don't know Jack, I don't know. I've never been with a boy before Jack."
"I'm still a virgin too, nothing to be ashamed of."
"I just feel like I don't deserve you"
"You deserve everything in life."
Placing a small kiss on her lips he says
"Will you be my girlfriend?"

Christmas Day was a time to be spent with family, this year they had a new recruit.

"Right, I believe you have a present for Maddie" Maddie's mum says to jack.

"I love you, and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you but I understand that you are still young and don't want to be tied down but until you feel ready, I'm going to give you this ring" he says pulling out a diamond encrusted sliver band. "this means I'm going to be forever faithful, if you ever want me to leave, tell me and I'll go. If you have cramps at 3am and need a cuddle, ring me and I'll be here, when you're ill and need someone to hold you're hair back, I'll do it, I shop with you, take you to gigs, I'd do anything for you, because I love you. There I said it, I would never let anybody or anything hurt you. I've never felt that way about anyone."
