Chapter 2 ~ The Kiss
Jack had been on Maddie's mind all week.
The little things he said, the little hand gestures, just made her knees turn to jelly and her stomach flip, as cliché as it sounds she'd never felt like this about anyone.
"Dan, do you know a lad called jack?" Maddie questioned her older brother on the phone, Maddie had always respected Dan, he listened to her whenever she had a problem, they'd cuddle on the sofa and watch 'Studio Ghibli' films.
"Umm, Jack Philips, Jack Snow and, and Jack Barakat?"
"What does Jack Barakat look like?"
"Black Hair, wears skinny jeans, has tattoos"
"YES!, that's him."

"Jack!" Maddie shouted from outside the Starbucks they first went to together.
"Oh hey" he says walking up to her.
As they come face to face the tense staring into each others eyes comes back like the very first time they met, Jack pressed his lips onto Maddie's, she was taken aback at first.
"Fuck, I'm so sorry"
"mhm, s'ok" she mumbles pressing her lips back to Jack's in a soft and passionate kiss.
"I've wanted to do that since the first time we met." Jack whispers in her ear, warm breath tickling her neck in contrast to the cold December air.
Settling down inside near the window
"So, tell me about yourself" Maddie says to Jack taking her gloves off
"Urm, I have trust issues, I used to suffer from depression, I got into drugs. All because of that fucking whore" he says back, choking up
"Oh, who was it?, if you don't mind me asking."
"Her name was Billie Jones, I met her at a party, everyone said it would never work, that she was a slag, we dated for four years. To me, she was the one. Then one night I went round hers with a ring, I found her in bed with my best mate Ashley" he says tears filling his eyes.
"I'm sorry for asking." She says feeling guilty
"I'm fine, anyway. After that it felt like my whole world collapsed, I got into drugs, I don't mean like doing a bit of weed, I literally mean I was a heroin addict, I dropped out of college, then one day this kid added me on Facebook, when I was on the brink of committing, he'd be there for me, gradually he made me get help, that kid was your brother, then I bumped into you and honestly the world stopped. You are the most beautiful girl I have seen in a long time."
