Long Distance Calls
Eleven
"York, we really need to talk," I crossed my arms across my chest as York looked at me like she was caught doing something bad.
"What about," she asked, thinking I didn't know what she was up to lately.
"You've been avoiding me ever since Alex and I got together," I told her I gestured for her to sit on her bed.
"No I haven't. You've been sleeping and stay out with Alex before you go back to school," she lied.
"York, I know you are still fighting through the shit Scott did to you," I told her, "You need to let it out. You have to talk to me or even Rian."
"I can't do that to you, Abs," she protested, "You're finally happy for once."
"That maybe, but I want you to be happy too, York," I told her, "You helped me and now it's my turn. It's been two years. It's time to talk about what happened and get you fully healed."
"That's easier said than done and you know that," York told me.
Class was back in session again. My brief vacation was over and it actually sucked. Luckily, Alex and I were still going strong. I just got out of class and I was walking into Alex's house. School had exhausted me, but Alex's dogs always made my day better along with Alex himself.
"How was your first day of class," Alex asked as he got up from the couch, crossing the room to take me into his arms.
"Kind of hard. My classes dove right into the material," I told him, "I have a lot of studying to do."
"Hey, that's fine. School is important to you," Alex kissed my forehead and stroked my hair, "I can help you study."
"I'll study later when I get back to the apartment," I told him as I got on my tip toes and kissed him, "Tonight is our movie night and I'm honoring my promise."
Alex smiled and chuckled lightly before he went over to get out a couple movies for us to watch before ordering some pizza for us. I ended up staying the night with Alex, falling asleep against him.
