Twenty-eight.
Ashley POV:
31 December, last day of the year. The last day of a crazy year that changed my life completely. I was feeling awesome because tonight would be amazing, celebrating New Years Eve with all of our friends. Tonight, it wouldn't be just Rian, Cassadee, Zack, Jack, Emily, Alex and me. We had also invited Noah and Sam and Alex wanted to invite the boys from Pierce the Veil as well, which was okay for me. I had never met those guys before, but I was convinced that they would be nice. And the more, the merrier, right?
This year had been great for me. The best thing ever happened, I found my best friend again. And then something even better happened, we fell in love. It was a crazy year, though and it wasn't always that easy, but it feels like Alex and I can make it through anything together. I was very excited for what this whole new year would bring, and I was determined to make it the best year ever, with Alex by my side and my best friends. This year, Alex and I would get a baby and thinking about that always made me smile. I felt like the happiest person on earth. God, I was so lucky to have Alex in my life.
When everything was ready, Alex wrapped his arms around me. "You look absolutely stunning in that dress." he mumbled in my ear. I turned around to give him a kiss. "And you look very handsome." I said. "Well thank you." He placed soft kisses in my neck. "Why don't you get some rest, they won't be here for another hour." he suggested. "Lex, I'm fine. I'm just like 10 weeks pregnant, no big deal." He sighed and sat down on the couch. I sat down next to him and took his hands in mine. "I worry too much, I know. I'm sorry, babe, but I just want everything to be okay." I smiled at him. "I know that, and I think it's cute when you're being overprotective." I kissed his cheek. "Well, I have something for you." he said and stood up from the couch again. "I haven't given you your Christmas present yet, I completely forgot about it." Ooh, that's true. I'd also completely forgotten to give Alex his present. "Ooh, I have something for you too! I'm gonna get it, so you can open it now." I stood up as well and ran up the stairs.
"You go first." I told Alex and handed him his presents. "Okay." he unwrapped the first box I'd given him and smiled. "Aww, thanks babe. I really like it." I had bought him a grey hoodie, because he had once told me he really wanted one like that. I handed him the other present I got him and he laughed when he opened it. "Hairspray, of course." He gave me a kiss to thank me and then handed me his present. "Now it's your turn." I took the present he handed me and I gasped when I saw a small box of Gucci. I opened it slowly and saw a beautiful silver bracelet. "Alex, I.. I don't know what to say.." "Just say you like it." he smiled and took the bracelet out of the box to help me put it on. "I love it.. It's so pretty." I didn't like it when Alex spent so much money on me, because I couldn't give him expensive presents like he always gave me. But I didn't say anything of it, because I knew that would hurt his feelings. I didn't want to know how much this bracelet had cost, but it was so beautiful. "Thank you so much." I pressed my lips against his and kissed him deeply. But then our moment got interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell.
"Who's ready to partyyyyyyy?!" Jack, Emily, Zack, Rian and Cass stood in the doorway. Jack and Rian were holding bottles of champagne, with a huge grin on their face. We all sat down in the living room together and not long after, the doorbell rang again. This time it was Sam. I welcomed her and she thanked me again for inviting me and promised once more that she was going to behave and absolutely not freak out because she was celebrating New Year with her favorite band of all times. The next one to arrive was Noah. He brought some booze as well and he sat down next to Zack. When I invited him, he had looked like the happiest kid on the planet. He had told me he was totally over Emily and that he even thought she belonged with Jack and just wanted her to be happy. He also told me he'd met another girl that he was interested in. Her name was Sofia and they met at some club. I was happy for him, the guy deserved a good girl. Another 10 minutes later, the guys of Pierce the Veil arrived.
"Alex, dude, heey!" A short guy with black hair that just reached his shoulders gave Alex a bro hug. "Hey guys!" Alex smiled and hugged the others as well. "So, this is the famous girlfriend?" he looked in my direction. "Ashley Sparks, isn't it?" he asked and I nodded, smiling. "Well, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, Ashley." he said and shook my hand. "I'm Vic, by the way." he winked. "It's nice to meet you too, Vic." I said polite. "This is my brother Mike." he pointed at the boy behind him. "Hello." he said and also shook my hand. "Hey Mike." "And these other dudes are Tony and Jaime." I shook both their hands as well and tried to remember the names. "Oh, and congratulations." Vic said to Alex and me. "Thanks." Alex said to him and wrapped an arm around me.
It was almost midnight when Cassadee gave everyone a refill of Jack Daniels -except for me of course. "Let's play a game!" she said. "Yeaah! Let's do 'never have I ever'!" Noah said. Everyone agreed and Alex gave me a quick kiss on my cheek. "Alright, since I can't drink alcohol I think it's only fair to say that I can start." I told everyone, grinning. I thought for a couple of seconds before starting. "Never have I ever.." I realised most of the people in the room were in a band, so I decided to take advantage of that. "Played an instrument." The boys rolled their eyes and all took a shot of Jack, along with Cassadee. "My turn!" Zack said. "I don't care that you have to drink water, you asked for it." he threatened, looking into my direction. "Never have I ever given a blowjob." Emily, Cassadee, Sam and I all sighed and took a shot -yeah, that was a shot of water for me. Noah was next. "Never have I ever.. had a one-night stand." he said. I raised my eyebrow at Alex when he took a shot. "Hey, that was years ago." he said and gave me a kiss. I looked around and saw almost everyone taking a shot. Yeah, the life of a rockstar.. I rolled my eyes at the guys but then I saw the look on Emily's face. She was looking at Jack taking his shot and I knew what she was thinking about. Tears were filling her eyes and she stood up. "Excuse me." she said and ran out of the room. "Em!" I said, but I didn't stood up to follow her, that wasn't my job. I wanted to give Jack a look, but he was already standing. "Emily, wait.." he said and ran after her.
