Jack POV:

We walked in silence for a while. I don't think there had ever been a more awkward silence than this one. "So. Pretty weird night, huh?" I tried to make conversation. "Yeah." she just said. I sighed and stopped walking. Emily looked at me with a confused expression on her face. 'Emily.." I began and I stepped closer to her. "Emily, I know you're still mad at me. And you have every right to, but.." I was quiet for a minute and took her hands in mine, making eye contact. "You have to know that it was the biggest mistake that I made in my life and I still regret it every fucking day." I waited for her to say something and after a couple of minutes she finally spoke. "What would you do?" she asked. I had no idea what she was talking about. "Huh?" I asked. "What would you do if you were Alex?" she entangled her fingers slowly with mine. "Take my responsibility. And that's what Alex will do, too. Don't worry about it. Alex isn't going to be angry with Ashley. Trust me, it's all going to be okay." she nodded and let go of my hands. "Let's go. I'm tired."

After another couple of minutes we arrived at Rian's old house. I walked her to the front door and looked at her. She was so beautiful.. Why did I ever cheat on this girl? Just when she was about to walk inside, I grabbed her arm. "I still have feelings for you, Emily." I whispered. I could see her eyes filling with tears. "Jack.." she said softly. "This isn't a movie. I'm not going to kiss you because of these cheesy apologies. You broke my heart, and that's something I can't just forget." She wiped away a tear and walked inside. "Goodnight, Jack." she whispered and closed the door.

Ashley POV:

"You're up early, where are you going?" Alex asked me while getting out of the bed. "I'm going to see how Emily is doing after last night." "I'm glad you're feeling better. Say hi to her from me." he said and gave me a kiss. "I will. I won't stay long." I kissed his cheek and ran downstairs. I grabbed the car keys and drove to Emily's house.

"Do you have the test?" I asked Em immediately when she opened the door. "Yes and god, it was the most embarrassing thing to do ever." I followed her into the kitchen and saw the pregnancy test on the table. "I'm so scared." I admitted. Emily pulled me into a hug. "You're gonna be fine." she said and handed me the test. I followed her upstairs to the bathroom. "You can do it." she smiled encouraging and closed the door, leaving me alone to pee on this thing.

"How fucking long can a couple of minutes be?" I said annoyed. "Patience." Em said softly. I could hear she was also nervous. We waited for another minute and then Emily stood up, taking my hand. "Ready?" she asked. I swallowed. "Yes." I looked at the test and kept staring at it. "Oh sweety." Emily pulled me into a tight hug and I started sobbing. "W-what do I h-have to do?" I sobbed. "Ashley, calm down. Look at me." she took my head between her hands and looked in my eyes. "It's going to be okay. Trust me. But you have to tell Alex, right now." I knew that. I had to tell him, he was the father and he deserved to know. But I was scared. I had no idea how he would react. I just knew he didn't want to have kids yet, he had no time for that. I just nodded and walked back downstairs with Emily. "Call me to tell how it went." she said. I nodded again and walked to my car.

"You're already back." Alex smiled when I walked into the kitchen. "I made enough breakfast for two." he put his hands around my waist and kissed my neck. I pushed him away and he gave me a confused look. "Something wrong?" he asked. I took a deep breath and sat down on a chair. "We need to talk."
