Oh Life
Twelve.
Jack POV:
“Jack.. I-I think I’m pregnant.” Wow. That was the last thing I’d expected her to say. She buried her face in my chest, still crying. “Ashley..” I managed to say after a minute. “Ashley, shh, calm down.” I said, stroking her hair. She looked up and her make-up was all over her face. She looked so desperate, I’d never seen her like this before. “No, I’m not going to calm the fuck down. What am I supposed to do? Alex will be so angry with me. We all know he doesn’t want to have kids yet.” She sobbed. I pulled her into a tight hug. “He won’t be angry with you, Ash. You have to tell him, he has the right to know.” I whispered in her ear. When I let go of her again, I looked her in the eyes. “Are you even sure?” I asked her. “No.” She mumbled. “I haven’t taken a test yet, but I have the symptoms. Morning sickness and my period is late.” She cried. I didn’t know what to do. I mean, this was girl stuff and I had no idea how to react or anything. The only thing I knew was that she had to take a test, as soon as possible. “I’ll be right back, okay?” I told her. She nodded slightly and I stood up, walking back downstairs.
“Is something wrong?” Alex sounded worried and was about to make his way upstairs. “No!” I said immediately and he raised an eyebrow. “No really, everything is fine. She’s just a bit.. nauseous again. She’s just freshening up.” Alex couldn’t see her now, she wasn’t ready to tell him. I gave Rian a look, which he gladly understood. “Hey Alex, do you have something to eat?” he asked. “Sure.” Alex said, turning away from me and walking into the kitchen, followed by Rian.
I hadn’t talked to Emily since the day we broke up and I knew she was still mad but I had to talk to her. I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the hallway. “What the hell, Jack?!” she said annoyed when we were out of sight. “I promised Ashley not to fight with you tonight, but you’re making it very hard for me to keep that promise.” I put my hand over her mouth so she would shut up. “This is not about you and me, Emily. Ashley needs you, come with me.” She gave me a confused look but followed me upstairs. When we entered the bathroom, Ashley was still sobbing in the same place I’d left her. “Ashley, what happened?!” Emily asked concerned, kneeling down before her bestfriend. “You tell h-her.” She said to me, covering her face with her hands. I explained what was going on and Emily’s eyes widened. “Oh my god, sweety, are you alright?” she asked Ashley. “She needs to take a test as soon as possible so she knows for sure. Because if she really is pregnant, Alex has to know.” I said. Emily looked at me, nodding. “You’re right. But it’s late, where do we find a pregnancy test at this hour?” I sighed and sat down on the floor, next to Ashley. “I don’t know. Guess we’ll have to wait untill tomorrow.” Emily looked over at Ashley again, who had finally calmed down a bit. “Can you come over tomorrow first thing in the morning?” Emily asked Ashley. Ash nodded and wiped away her tears. “Where’s Alex?” she asked. “He’s in the kitchen. What do we have to tell everyone?” I asked her. She shrugged. “Tell them I’m sick and going to bed.” I nodded and walked back downstairs, while Emily stayed with Ashley.
“Guys, Ashley isn’t feeling very well. She’s sick and she wants to go to bed, so.. We should probably go.” I announced. Alex walked past me and ran upstairs to check on Ashley. Zack, Noah, Rian and Cassadee grabbed their things and put on their coats. “What’s wrong with Ashley?” Rian whispered softly to me so no one else could hear it. “You’ll hear about it tomorrow. Right now I can’t say anything.” He nodded and wrapped his arm around Cassadee’s waist. Alex entered the living room again. “I’m really sorry, but she needs to rest.” Cassadee smiled at Alex. “Hey, no problem. She can’t help that she’s sick. Take good care of her.” She said. They all said bye to Alex and left, but I waited for Emily to come downstairs.
“She is asking for you.” Emily said to Alex when she walked into the living room. “Yeah, we’re leaving. Goodnight Alex.” I said and walked out of the front door, with Emily walking right behind me. “Can I walk you home?” I asked her softly. She looked me in the eyes for a couple of seconds before she answered. “Sure.”

Another chapter because writing is the only thing that is helping me at this moment.I'm having a breakdown and I feel terrible.
