The months flew by. We both got better. We both went to therapy, for the crash and for our relationship, which was stronger than ever. We spent all our time together. I just hoped it would last.
We were sitting on the couches in the house that Rian and Alex shared. The guys were playing around on acoustic guitars and Rian had a bongo between his knees. They sounded really good, as usual. When they finished playing Damned If I Do Ya, Alex got up and scooped me up, carrying me to the glass door that led outside to the backyard.
“Where are you going, Gasbarf?” Flyzik asked.
“To fuck my girlfriend, Flyshit!” he yelled back, running faster.
He plunked me down on one of the deck chairs that was by the pool.
“We’re not really going to have sex outside by the pool with our friends right inside, are we?” I asked skeptically.
“No of course not.” he responded.
“Then what?” I asked.
“We’re going back on tour soon. And I wanted to know whether you’re coming or not. It’s in Europe again.” he explained.
“I don’t think I can do that again. Jet lag, you know?” I replied.
“Ah, yeah. Good point. Don’t wanna make you suffer.” he grinned, twirling a lock of my hair around his fingers.
The guys joined us outside.
“Hey, you guys wanna have a party tonight?” Rian asked.
“Duh!” Jack shouted. Alex thumped him on the back of his head.
“You okay with having a party?” Alex asked me.
“Ooh, somebody’s whipped!” Jack yelled.
“I’m not whipped!” Alex yelled back, tackling Jack. They rolled and landed in the pool. They both screamed like girls.
Me and the other guys stood laughing and high fiving each other.
“Help me outta here, bitch!” Alex said to me.
“Help yourself out, lazy ass.” I replied.
He caught me off-guard and pulled my ankle, yanking me into the pool with him.
“BITCH!” I screamed, slapping Alex repeatedly. He slapped me back, although very gently.
“Hey! Don’t hit my Brookie boo!” Jack screamed. He was still in the pool.
“Alright, faggots. I’m gonna go dry off. Enjoy the pool sex.” I told them and swam to the shallow end where the steps were.
Alex swam after me and we both got out, laying out on the deck chairs with towels under us. At some point, the guys from The Friday Night Boys, Hey Monday, and We the Kings came over. We ended up not having a party, but just hanging out by the pool, enjoying life.

Alex was packed for tour. It was early in the morning and I was taking him and the boys to the airport. Alex was drumming his fingers on the dashboard to the New Found Glory song that was playing from my iPod that was hooked up to the car’s stereo.
I couldn’t go in with them because of security, so I let the guys go in ahead of us and Alex and I had a moment in the car.
“So...tour.” he said awkwardly.
“Yup.” I replied in the same tone.
“I’m really gonna miss you, Brooke.” he said earnestly.
“I’ll miss you too, Alex.” I replied.
I leaned in and gave him a slow kiss on the lips. He tried to further it by trying to separate my lips with his tongue, but I broke off.
“Alex, you have to go.” I told him.
“But I won’t be able to kiss you for almost a month!” he protested.
“What, you’ll just find someone else to kiss.” I joked, but he gave me a dark look, narrowing his big brown eyes.
“That was low.” he commented.
“Sorry, babe.” I whispered.
“S’okay.” he smiled.
He gave me a final peck on the cheek and got out so he could hug me. He hugged me tightly and I concentrated on the feeling of his t-shirt beneath my cheek and his lightly stubbled face pressing into the top of my head and his understated muscles squeezing me tightly.
“Now get going, loverboy.” I laughed, smacking him on the butt.
I watched him walk into the airport. It was going to be a long month.

I've been stumbling across stories I've read, and checking them out again since I seem to forget them after it's been a while. This was one of those cases.
Reading this again, and after reading other stories on here and Mibba, I've realized that with my last comment, I was a bit off. Yes, Brooke and Alex's relationship was cute when they were together/sweet to each other, but reading it again, their relationship was a bit abusive. Neither is completely innocent, but the version of Alex you wrote in this took it to the next level. I realize a lot of it was because of his insecurities, what he dealt with in the past, etc., but Brooke didn't deserve any of that. When she did mess up, she definitely didn't take her anger to the levels he did.
Idk, I'm conflicted because again, when they were together, it was cute, but then it just got sad when they weren't. I'm not sure why she put up with as much as she did.
Your writing is still good, though. Just wish they didn't have so many downs in their relationship. It got really sad at a lot of points, and I just felt Alex didn't need to take it to the degree he did, I mean really.
I doubt you saw my other comment, but just thought I would comment again as an update and to possibly get you to see it.
