Bold Enough to Fall
"Oh really? Cuz there's no excuse for what you did. You pull a fucking song out of your ass and the same fucking day, you make out with someone else! You make a big deal about another guy just looking at me and then you go and do this!" I yelled. He bowed his head.
"I'm sorry, baby." he whispered.
"No, don't call me baby. You had that privilege, but you threw it away. I don't believe you." I spat.
"Wait, I thought you were single?" the girl asked Alex.
He stuttered pathetically. The girl punched Alex in the stomach and left as he doubled over.
"Brooke, there's no way you can leave me." Alex stated.
"And why is that?" I asked.
"Just a couple of hours ago you said you loved me. There's no way you can just throw all that away." he smirked, backing me into the side of the bus
"Watch me." I snapped and went after the girl.
I heard someone crying and slamming and I saw the open door of Stars Forevers’ bus. I climbed on and Kelsey emerged from the back lounge.
“If you’re here to rip our merch girl a new asshole, now isn’t a good time.” she told me bluntly.
“I-I’m not. I just wanted to talk to her. She seemed upset when she left.” I explained. The fact that Alex had cheated on me and I’d broken up with him hadn’t fully set in.
“Fine.” Kelsey sighed and beckoned me to the back. Logan, Ryan, McKenzie and Kelsey left me alone with her.
"Oh hey." she mumbled.
"Hey." I smiled weakly.
"Listen, I'm really sorry about what happened. He told me he was single and there was no one around to deny that so I believed him. I'm really not a slut." the girl said sadly.
"It's okay. You couldn't have known. It's Alex's fault." I replied.
"What's your name again?" she asked.
"Brooke. Yours?" I asked.
"Melissa. Mel for short." she replied.
We talked for a while. Eventually I sighed.
"I have to get back to the bus. I don't know how I'm going to deal with Alex." I told her.
"You can hang here with me if you want." Mel offered.
"Sure, that sounds great." I smiled. We went to the front of the bus, but saw Alex and Jack sitting on the couch.
"What are you doing here?" I asked sharply, directing it at Alex.
"You know why." he replied.
"Brooke I'm really sorry. He wanted to go see you, but he made me come with him because he was afraid you'd yell at him." Jack told me.
"Oh I'll do a hell of a lot more than that. Why didn't you stop him?" I asked.
"Well you know how pigheaded he can be. I couldn't." Jack explained.
"I'm right here!" Alex said with an attitude.
"Okay, fine. Let's hear your half-assed excuse." I said.
"You weren't around and I'm drunk and you know what I'm like when I'm drunk." he explained.
"That's really no excuse." I snapped.
"Yeah well what's-her-name came onto me." he defended himself.
"Okay one my name is Melissa. And two, you came onto me and told me you were single." Melissa spat.
I was torn. I’d just met Melissa. But something about her subtle sweetness and Alex’s track record made me realize that he couldn’t be trusted.
"You're an asshole." I snapped at Alex.
"I'm fucking drunk, Brooke! What do you want from me?" he yelled.
"I'm sick of your excuses and I want you to get away from me. Come on, Mel." I said sharply and me and Mel walked up to the front.
"Where am I supposed to go?" I asked helplessly.
"Stay here. You'll be okay. Alex has to leave sometime." Melissa replied.
"Okay. Thanks." I smiled. I ended up sleeping in the spare bunk. I felt hands grazing my cheeks.
"Forgive me, please." Alex whispered, his face wide-eyed and desperate as he hovered over me.
"No." I snapped.
I got out of bed and attempted to push him out, but I could've been pushing on the walls for all the progress I was making.
"Get out." I seethed.
"Okay." he said sadly and walked out. I went back to bed and tried not to worry about the day ahead.

I've been stumbling across stories I've read, and checking them out again since I seem to forget them after it's been a while. This was one of those cases.
Reading this again, and after reading other stories on here and Mibba, I've realized that with my last comment, I was a bit off. Yes, Brooke and Alex's relationship was cute when they were together/sweet to each other, but reading it again, their relationship was a bit abusive. Neither is completely innocent, but the version of Alex you wrote in this took it to the next level. I realize a lot of it was because of his insecurities, what he dealt with in the past, etc., but Brooke didn't deserve any of that. When she did mess up, she definitely didn't take her anger to the levels he did.
Idk, I'm conflicted because again, when they were together, it was cute, but then it just got sad when they weren't. I'm not sure why she put up with as much as she did.
Your writing is still good, though. Just wish they didn't have so many downs in their relationship. It got really sad at a lot of points, and I just felt Alex didn't need to take it to the degree he did, I mean really.
I doubt you saw my other comment, but just thought I would comment again as an update and to possibly get you to see it.
