If you could choose

Wow, that just happened

We had been back in the swing of things for a week and I helped Matt out just like I was supposed to. I was currently working on folding up various things in the merch section of this venue. "Little Flyzik!" Vic yelled coming to lean over the bar where I was working. "Yes, Mr.Fuentes?" I asked, we both chuckled and I put down the shirt I was holding and walked over to the counter, leaning just like him. "I was wondering if you wanted to sing with me on stage, we could do Hold on Till May." He suggested, my stomach flipped and I stepped back.

"No way, Vic. I don't wanna ruin the song for your fans, I'm a terrible singer." He quickly headed over to my side. "Paige, you're not gonna ruin it and plus you've gone through somethings and can relate to this song just as much as any of them can." He said giving me a hug. "Plus I've heard you singing while you're in the shower, you're awesome." He said pulling away making me look at him. "Do I have to?" I asked as he took my hand pulling me across the venue to the dressing rooms.

"Guys! Do we need Paige to sing Hold on Till May?" He asked pulling us to a stop in the middle of the room. "Yes!" Jaime yelled. "Yeah, you should do it." Mike said. "Wait a minute, how come every time I've asked you to sing you've said no?" Alex asked, crossing his arms and heading over towards me. I backed away but he only continued until my back reached the wall. "I haven't said yes..." I said scooting away. Someone walked in and I grabbed their arm. "Help me run away." I said to them.

They took hold of my hand and pulled me out of the room, we picked up speed. We ran around the inside of the venue finding some room unpreoccupied. We stopped and both slid against the wall. "Thanks for saving me." I said turning to see who exactly pulled me out of there. "Welcome." Tony said smiling at me. "So, how's your friend doing?" He asked after a minute of silence. "Good, he's completely recovered for the most part, and he wants to come back out and see us again."

"That's cool..." Tony and I were refusing each other contact and I'm sure it was probably from our make out session before I left. "Well," I said standing up. Tony grabbed my wrist making me stop. "Paige, um wait...wait a second." He let go of my hand as I sat down criss cross in front of him. "Yes?" I asked seeing as he wasn't saying anything. "I just, I wanted to know if when before," He looked up from his hands, that were in his lap and looked at my face finally. "If it meant like...anything to you?" He asked eyes searching my face for anything.

"I mean, of course it did Tony. You're the only person pretty much to know about Braxton," I placed my hand on his. "And just because I ran away after words doesn't mean I didn't like it, it was just if Matt had caught us then life would have been hell for me and you." He smiled at me. "So, you wouldn't freak out if I-" He cut himself off by placing his lips on mine. His lips were soft and soon enough his tongue traced along my bottom lip begging for entrance. I parted my lips slightly as his tongue slid in.

Tony's right hand took hold of the left side of my cheek and pulled me closer to him. With his other hand he pulled me onto his lap. I placed my hands on either side of his neck, letting my right arm slid to wrap around his neck. Our tongues pushed against one anothers. "Paige!" We both heard Alex yell. Tony and I slowly pulled away. His smile was so large and genuine, I couldn't help but smile back. I pushed my lips against Tony's quickly and stood up leaving the room, and Tony.

Alex and I bumped into one another going down the hallway. I fell on my butt. "Lex, watch where you're going, jeez." I said taking the hand that was held out for me. "Are you gonna sing with Vic?" He asked once I brushed off my butt. I turned around. "Is there anything on my butt?" I asked. "Nope, so?" He asked again. "I don't know." I said as someone grabbed my hand pulling me behind them back the way Alex had just come from. It was Tony. "I'll talk to you later then." I yelled back as Tony pulled me back to behind the stage, where the dressing rooms were.

We walked in. "After much consideration, she said yes." Tony said to the other three in his band. I pulled my hand from his and smacked his arm while Vic jumped off the sofa and pulled me into a hug. "YES! You're awesome." He said and pulled away. "Yeah, yeah." I laughed standing there. "I'm gonna go finish the merch stuff, just tell me when I'm supposed to be on stage." I went to turn and leave but Tony pulled me into a hug. "Thank you." He whispered into my ear. "You're welcome." I said back. He then let go and I left the room.

A few short hours later and here I was standing side stage waiting for the sweaty boys to walk off the stage signaling my cue to walk out and take the stage next to Vic. Soon enough they ended one song and then Vic began talking into the microphone. Mike, Jaime and Tony followed one another off the stage until Tony saw me. I waved as he walked over pulling me into a sweaty hug. "Do great out there." He kissed my forehead. "Thanks, I'll try. You got me into this so you better be out here when I finish." I said giving his shoulder a light push.

"So With a kind welcome, Paige Flyzik." Vic said. I didn't move until Tony pushed me out there, making me stumble a little. I gripped the microphone in my hand a little tighter and smiled as I headed over towards the stool next to Vic's. I sat down licking my lips attempting to take my mind off the people staring at me. 'I love you, Vic!' Some girl shouted making him chuckle. "I love you, too." He said into the mic before beginning the intro. My head tilted to the side so I could see his fingers move across the frets.

I had a thing for hands, as weird as that sounds. I liked the way someone with no previous knowledge could teach themselves how to use their fingers to go across the frets as if creating magic, it amazes me. It came close to my part hearing Vic sing. "And thinking about the past again, Darling you'll be okay. And she said..." "If you were me, you'd do the same, 'Cause I can't take anymore I'll draw the shades and close the door. Everything's not alright and I would rather..." He finished the song and my face a bright shade of red.

I stood up waving to the crowd, that despite my terrible performance was cheering. Vic stood up giving me a hug. I quickly waved one last time and darted off stage. I ran over to Tony as he gave me a hug, my arms were tucked into my body, which was pressed against his chest. "You did great." He said as I was attempting to catch my breath, so I wouldn't pass out. "T-thanks." I said as I pulled away. He was handed one of his guitars and kissed my cheek before running back out on stage.

I held my hand to the spot he kissed and headed back down the side of the stage to get back to work at the merch table. I was lost in la la land until I noticed at the end of the hallway before you turn was Matt. I froze and pulled down my hand. "Paige Elizabeth-" I pushed past Matt heading back down to where the booth was. "Matt, fuck you! I don't have time for this!" I yelled pushing the door open and knocking someone over. I looked around and reached a hand out to pull Zack back up.

"Sorry, Zack." I said quickly brushing off his back. "It's ok, why in such a hurry?" He asked. "Well, Matt saw something he didn't need to see and then he was gonna yell at me for it... I mean what does he expect?! I'm not gonna become a nun!" I yelled as Zack just listened. "I mean it's stupid that I can't talk to anyone in the opposite gender," I stopped pacing and looked at Zack. "I mean doesn't he want Nieces and Nephews one day?!" I stopped and looked at Zack's face, his eyes wide and a puzzling look across the rest of his features.

"Not any time soon might I add just eventually I would like to settle down maybe have a kid but I can't very well do that if everytime I try to talk to someone he’s right there, I mean that’s the reason when he asked me the month before I graduated if I wanted to come on tour with you guys, I said no.” I finished and placed my hand stop my chest trying to pull air into my lungs. “Wow…” Zack started. “What were you doing that made you react to him like that?”

I stopped heaving and turned to leave off towards the table. “No way,” He said grabbing my arm and pulling me back. “You’re telling me, now.” He said dragging me off towards the end of the hallway. “Zack, really? I don’t want to talk about it.” I said as we stopped at the end. “Spill it.” He said ignoring my plea. “He saw Tony kiss my cheek after I performed.” I said trying to make it seem like not a big deal, which it really wasn’t. “Yeah he over reacts doesn’t he?” Zack started I thought I was of the hook until he opened his mouth again.

“But you were really annoyed and angry back there,” He got closer to my face. “I know something else happened you better tell me or so help me I’ll pick you up and tie you to the top of the bus.” He said, I picked up my hands with this crazy look on my face. “Alright, Jeez.”I said thinking about what I was gonna tell him. “I sorta could have possibly kissed/made out with Tony,” His eyes opened wide again. “But only possibly we’re talkin’ theories here.” “Paige-” “I know ok, I don’t know.” I ran my fingers through my hair.

“But what does this mean for- didn’t Jack give you that necklace?” He asked pointing to the one around my neck. “Yeah...How do you know about it?” I asked turning this interrogation over on him. “I umm… Jack told me.” He said quickly. I opened my mouth to say something else until Alex yelled down the hallway. “Hey, Zack! Come on, we’re going on soon.” “Alright be right there.” Zack said turning and leaving me alone in the dark corner. I blew out some air and headed back up the hallway and back out the door walking slowly towards the table. I got back there and jumped right in handing out shirts and things. I had been back at work for officially 15 minutes. I felt two arms snake their way around my waist. “Hello?” I said to whomever it was. “Hi.” Tony said into the crook of my neck. “Hey, you did really good up there jammin’ by the way.” I said but he didn’t have time to reply before a girl yelled. “OMG! IT”S TONY!!!”

I pushed both of us from the edge of the table as hands reached over grabbing at the man whom had his arms around my waist. “Come escape with me.” He said into my ear. “I can’t just leave-” “Sure you can, come on.” He said giving me the most precious smile. I nodded and he pulled me away. We made it outside to the back of the venue. “Come hither, there is a coffee shop down the road.” He said taking hold of my hand navigating us through the gates and down a rather sketchy walk way.

“How do you know it’s this way?” I asked him leaning closer to his side. “I mapquested it.” “Ok, and since when do you say hither?” I questioned raising an eyebrow. It only made his laugh. We walked a little longer. “So how do you know I like coffee?” “Alex told me earlier, or more like I asked.” He said shrugging his shoulders as a blush crept onto his cheeks. I leaned my head on his shoulder. “You’re adorable when you blush.” “Yeah well so are you.” He said back. “Did Alex also tell you how I like my coffee?” “Nope, why don’t you.” He said turning his hand looking at me.

“I like it black, black like my soul.” I said dramatically as Tony laughed. “Or at least that’s what the guys used to say when I’d drink it that way.” “That’s cool, not many people can do it that way.” “Yeah, well I’m one of the people who can’t stand sugar and creamer.” He stepped ahead letting go of my arm to hold the door open. I stepped past him and into the shop. We walked up and I ordered a larger black coffee and Tony got some Iced something or other. I pulled out my wallet. “No, you can’t pay.” “Why not?” I questioned placing my hands on my hips. “Cause...I asked you not to but to let me.”

That’s probably the nicest way someone’s told me I can’t do something, and it worked. I put my wallet back into my pocket. We walked over to a little table sitting down. “So,” I started. I picked up his arms placing them on the table so I could see all the tattoos. “Do they gross you out?” He asked really concerned. “No no. I was just thinking how cool some of your were and that we should go together, not get matching ones but it would be cool.” He smiled taking a sip of his coffee. “It would be really cool, so do you have any tattoos?” “Yeah I do, they’re all pretty small but they all mean something so.” Then my phone started to ring and I pulled it out of my pocket seeing it was Matt calling. I rolled my eyes putting the phone up to my ear.

Me: Joe’s Pool hall, eightball speaking.
Matt: Haha, you’re so hilarious. Where are you?
Me: At a coffee shop down the road, why?
Matt: Cause it’s late and the guys were wondering.
Me:How late is it?
Matt: They just finished their set.
Me: Well tell them to come down here then if they’re so worried but it’s not like I was alone.
Matt: Who are you with then?
Me: Tony, we’re talking about tattoos and such.
Matt: Alright well the guys will be down there soon.
Me: Alright Matt.

I hung up and tossed my phone onto the table. “They guys are coming hope you don’t mind?” I said to Tony seeing his smile fade a little. “It’s cool, so back to the tattoo thing. What’s the next one you would get?” I thought about it for a second. “Either something from Alice in Wonderland, The T.J.Ecklberg eye’s from The Great Gatsby or the silhouette the the three kids and peter flying over Big Ben, you know from Peter Pan.” I said taking a sip of my drink. “Those are cool, not my style but cool.”

“They’re some of my favorite books and movies.” I added. “So what is your favorite movie and book?” “Umm… movie is a tie between the Princess Bride and The Nightmare before christmas and then book wise it would probably have to be… another tie between the Lorax and The Catcher in the Rye.” “I’m impressed.” I leaned over and pushed his shoulder as the door to the shop opened. “Don’t be a dick, I’m allowed to be intellectual.” I said as the guys made their way over. “Heyo.” I said as they took seats next to us.

Alex and Jack on either side of me and then Vic and Zack on either side of Tony. “Where’s Jaime, Mike and Ri?” I asked turning to Alex. “Rian was gonna talk to Cass-” “And the other two went to a bar.” “Wait there was an option for alcohol and you guys turned it down to hang out with us...in a coffee shop?” I asked smelling something weird in the air. “Well I wasn’t gonna drink anyways and I enjoy his company obviously,” He said shaking Tony. “But yours as well so.” I nodded turning to Jack.

“So what made the lady’s man Jack Barakat skip the bar tonight?” He shrugged his shoulders. “Just didn’t feel like drinking I guess.” I turned back to the table. “Whatcha drinkin?” Vic asked. “Iced coffee.” Tony said. “Black regular.” I said shaking my empty cup. “Do you need more?” Alex asked. “No...I’m good thanks though.” He nodded. “Black?” Vic questioned. “Yeah, that’s how my dad drank it and he was a role model and I copied him but now that’s the only way I’ll drink it.” “Makes sense.” He said. I yawned but covered my mouth.

“I have to pee.” I declared climbing over Jack’s lap. I headed back to the bathroom and did what I had to then came back out to the table grabbing my cup and came back. “I’m gonna head back, alright. I’m super tired and mentally exhausted.” I said heading towards the doors of the shop. I heard the chairs screech and footsteps behind me. I turned to see everyone got up. I brushed it off and headed down the road. I started to hum to myself as everyone caught up. Then I began to sing softly.

“I'll be your number one with a bullet, A loaded god complex, cock it and pull it.” I did a little dance with it making everyone laugh at me. “Shut it… You didn’t have to follow me?” I said to all of them as Zack came closer pulling me off the ground and over his shoulder. “That’s it the roof it is.” “Zachary, I live for danger.” I said letting out a little giggle as someone grabbed my sides. He carried me back to the venue placing me down once we were in the gates. “I can’t believe you carried my fat ass all the way in here.” I said to Zack. “You’re not fat.” Tony, Alex and Jack said at the same time. “Weird…” I said heading towards the door to the bus.

I turned back around. “Wait.” I said as Vic had already climbed onto their own bus, but Tony stopped. I ran over and gave him a hug. “Thanks, today was cool.” He hugged back. “You’re welcome. See you tomorrow.” We pulled away. “See ya tomorrow then.” He smiled and waited until I got onto my bus. I walked back to my suitcase and pulled off my clothes and put on some Pjs. I came back out heading to the fridge and grabbing a water. “Night, Gentlemen.” I said to all of them. “Night Paige.” Zack said. “So what no hugs?” Alex said.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to him giving him a hug. “Night Lex.” I said pulling away. “Jack held out his arms and I did the same even giving Zack a hug. “Satisfied?” I asked. “Yeah, you’re good go to bed.” Jack said throwing a pillow at me. “Night Night guys.” “Night.” They all said back as I crawled into my bunk. I fell asleep shortly after.

What no! Don't let him die! YOU CAN'T LET HIM DIE! Why would you do that?! You hold his life in your hands, and I hope you choose to let him live. If you choose to kill him off, then idk. Idk but it won't be good. ;-;
