I wanna feel weightless

*Zack’s POV*

We parked in front of the school and practically ran to the front desk.

“We need you to pull a student from class.” Rian said out of breath.

The lady behind the desk looked taken a back but she quickly pulled herself together, gave us a smile and asked for her name.

“Elizabeth Thornton.” Rian said

She typed on her little computer and looked at us quizzically.

“Um, yes, Ms. Thornton has not been here since third period, she checked out.”

“What do you mean she checked out?” Jack asked

“She checked out for the day and then said she wouldn’t be coming back to school because she was moving in with family in Texas.”

“Okay well thank you ma’am” Rian waved as we walked away.

How could she do this to us? How could she do this to me? She didn’t ay bye or anything. How dare she.

*Rian’s POV*

“Okay well thank you ma’am” I waved as I finished the sentence and we walked away.

We headed to Zack’s house to see what she has taken. We looked around and came to the conclusion that all she had taken was clothes, her laptop, her iPod and respective chargers. We told Zack’s mom what had happened. She seemed surprised but then from her purse she pulled four envelopes with each of our names on one.

“I didn’t know about these till I got to the grocery store. I found them in the back seat and figured she dropped them out of her bag, here.”

None of them were opened so she clearly didn’t know what was in them. I opened mine and read the words slowly letting them sink in.


Dear Rian,
Wow. I bet you thought that my suicide letter was the last you would hear from me. I know y’all were relived when I was okay and I was too. Now I’m not so sure. My cousin and Aunt are picking me up and taking me back to Texas. I didn’t know how to tell you guys but the hugs at school today are probable the last we will have. I hope I’ll be able to last in Texas. Maybe we’ll see each other again but until then, live free, love you.

After reading ours individually we passed them around and read them all.


Dear Alex,
I’m sorry I’m doing this again. I guess in a way it may comfort you to know I am still alive, but I had to go. My cousin texted me saying him and my aunt are taking me back to Texas. Keep doing what you’re doing. The band, it’s what y’all are meant to do. Maybe we’ll see each other again some day but until then, go for it, make it big, love you.

Dear Jack,
Thanks for being there for me. Sorry I couldn’t tell you I was leaving but I had to cut all contact, cold turkey. My aunt and cousin are taking me back to Texas. Amazing how much my mom hates me right? I’ll miss you a lot. I hope we see each other again some day until then, laugh, love you.

Lastly I got to Zack’s letter, his was the longest and most tearful one of all.


Dear Zack,
I love you. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you when I was still there but I’m not goof for you. I’m fat and ugly and you are so great. I almost thought you were going to ask me out the other day at the show and I was so excited but even if you were going to ask me out I’m kind of glad now that you didn’t. I don’t think I would’ve been able to leave you if we were going out. The only reason I’m leaving is because I have no choice. Please understand that this was not to hurt you. I had no other choice, I’m not 18 yet, I had to go with them. I will try to hang on to the little shred of hope I have of seeing you again. Until then, move on, don’t get hung up on me, just forget about me and move on. I love you, so much, I love you.

Zack grabbed his letter after I was done and slowly walked up the stairs to his room, he slammed the door and we decided to leave. He needed time by himself.

So two chapters in one day. hopefully this makes up for not updating in forever and I will try to get one more up today if not sorry. hope you all had a great Christmas. my whole family with the exception of me, if sick so I'm alone in my room trying not to catch the many different things they have
