Can't Stop Won't Stop

When I Close My Eyes I Pretend I'm Alright

Jack rolled onto his back, as the morning sunlight came in through the window of his small apartment. He didn't want to get out of bed, there was really no reason to anymore. Despite his lack of will, he pulled himself up out of bed and shuffled into the bathroom. He looked himself over in the mirror, frowning at what he saw. His face was pale, and his eyes were dark rimmed, and red. His cheeks were hollow, and his hair was flat against his head. He said, tearing his eyes from the unholy sight, and climbed into the shower. He let the hot water run over his head for a while, before the temperature began to decrease.

After he was done in the shower, he made his way back to the room, avoiding the mirror above the sink. He pulled open his closet, and looked through his small variety of clothes, before settling on a dark pair of skinny jeans, and his favorite Blink-182 t-shirt. Sighing, he pulled on his black hoodie, and a pair of red vans before stalking out of his apartment.

It was a relatively warm day for the middle of october, and so he decided to walk. It was a good fifteen minute walk into Boston, and it was the best part of Jacks day when he was able to do so. He made sure his Ipod was fully charged, putting in the ear buds, and letting the sweet sounds of his favorite band play in his ears.

The streets of Boston were crowded with people, and evey now and again he would get shoved into someone, and in return get an icy glare before they walked away. Jack kept his hands deep in his pockets, ignoring those people that would glare at him when he bumped into their backs by mistake. It wasn't easy to stay out of personal bubbles on busy streets.

"Watch where you're walking, you fucking prick." Someone snarled, as he accidently stepped on the back of a mans shoe. He turned around, his eyes filled with anger as he narrowed them at Jack. He could feel himself begin to tremble. The man was a good foot taller than him, which was pretty unbelievable because Jack was pretty tall himself. His body build was definitely intimidating, and the way he stared at Jack made him want to run for the hills. For some reason he was rooted to the spot. He realized why. The man had a hold of the collar of his shirt.

By this time, there was a large group of onlookers, surveying the situation. Some with cameras, and others with cell phones. "S-Sorry." Jack choked out, and the man threw him to the side and went along as if nothing happened. The group that was near by let out groans, and slowly dispersed. He scrambled up from the ground, dusting off the dirt on his pants and sweatshirt, before continuing down the road.

It was around noon, and his stomach was growling. He walked a long, looking for a small resteraunt where he could quench his hunger. As he peered inside a small cafe, he noticed a familiar looking brown head of hair. He looked a little closer, and the brunette turned around. Jacks heart sped up, as his eyes locked with the familiar looking boy. It was Alex, it was most definitely his Alex. He could tell by the honey brown eyes. He was about to go in, but then Alex's gaze was broken, as he turned to a blonde man, wrapping his arms around his neck, and pressing his lips to his. His heart dropped, and he could feel himself becoming more disoriented. So Jack did what he did best, he turned and he ran.
