Ashley POV:

"Alex, this is Emily." I looked at her and saw she was shaking. "Nice to meet you, Emily." Alex said and shook her hand. "Nice to meet you too, Alex." "Okay, let's find the other guys. Follow me." We followed him through the long hallway. "Here it is." We stood by a door that said dressing room: All Time Low and heard people talking behind it. Alex opened the door and we followed. Everyone was immediately quiet and they were all looking at us. "Guys, this is Ashley and her friend Emily." They smiled and greeted us politely. "So, do you guys want a drink?" Alex asked while grabbing a beer for himself. "No thanks, I'm good." "Emily?" "No thanks, I'm good, too." he shrugged and sat down next to Jack. "Have a seat." I sat down next to him and Emily sat on my other side. "Where is the crew?" Alex asked. "They went to the bus early." I didn't know the boy who answered. He played the drums on stage, that's all I knew. "So, what did you guys think of our show?" It was Jack who broke the awkward silence. "It was really good." Emily said enthusiastic. Jack smiled at her and I saw Emily blushing. "Glad to hear that." "What did you think of it, Ashley?" Alex turned to me. "I, uhm. To be completely honest. I'd never heard of you guys before. It was Emily who bought these tickets and asked me to come with her." I admitted sheepishly. Alex chuckled. "But you guys are really good." "Well, thank you."

We talked about the show and their tour. After a while I knew that the drummer was called Rian and the other boy was Zack. I also soon realized that Zack was more of a quiet person and Jack could never shut his mouth. He was really funny, and I could see why Emily liked him so much. When Alex offered us again something to drink, we both asked for a beer. After more than an hour Alex took my hand. "Let's go somewhere so we can talk." I looked over at Emily, who was having a conversation with Jack. "Okay."

We walked outside the building to the side where no fans could see us. There was a small bench and he sat down. I took place next to him. We said nothing for a very long time. He took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes. "I missed you so much." "I missed you too, Alex." I really did. "It's a little weird seeing you again, so many years later. And in this place, as a lead singer of an awesome band." He chuckled. "I'm so happy your friend bought those tickets." "Me too." "So, tell me about your life." "It's really not as interesting as yours." "But I wanna know." he said quietly while stroking my cheek. "I work at a clothing store. Nothing special, like I said." He nodded and then there was this awkward silence again. "Ashley.." I turned my head and his face was closer than I'd expected. He put his hand on my cheek and came closer. God, he was going to kiss me. I didn't know what to do. We used to be friends but that was so long ago. I knew the little boy Alex Gaskarth, but I didn't know this guy in front of me. Alex Gaskarth, singer of a band. Yes, he was very attractive. But this wasn't right. At the moment our lips where about to touch I turned my head. When I looked at him again, he was staring at the ground. "I'm sorry." he mumbled. "Don't be." He looked up. "But I am sorry, it was stupid what I did." "Listen, Alex. It's just.. I don't know you. You don't know me. It's been over 10 years since we've last seen each other." "Then we should get to know each other again. Tour is almost over, and you have summer vacation, right?" I nodded and listened to what he was going to say. "You and your friend could spend your vacation in Baltimore and we can get to know each other again." "We have no place to stay there." he thought about that for a while. "I can ask Rian if you can use his apartment for the summer. He bought an apartment for him and Cassadee, his girlfriend. But they won't move in untill September." I hesitated for a while. "Well, okay. I'll have to ask Emily but I'm sure she will love it." "Great. I'm looking forward to getting to know you again, Ashley."
