P.O.V Jack

‘Okay, thanks for your help’, I said ending the call and turning to face a nervous looking Alex.
‘Alex’, I said, pausing dramatically. ‘WE GOT IT! I yelled making Alex jump. His face broke out into a huge smile as he ran and jumped onto me, wrapping his arms around my neck and his legs around my waist.
‘I can’t believe we got it’ He exclaimed bouncing up and down still wrapped around me. We had just booked our wedding venue. We choose an old mansion on the edge of a lake, it was really beautiful.
‘Everything is finally coming together’, I whispered, holding him up.
‘Soon, you’ll be Mr Jack Gaskarth’, he giggled intertwining his hands in my hair.
‘Eh no way! You’re gonna be Mr Alex Barakat. It sounds cooler’, I protested.
‘Whatever babe, I’m just so happy we got our venue.’ he whispered leaning in for a kiss. I brushed my lips against his softly making him giggle.
‘Kiss me properly’, he giggled. Slowly I carried him over to the couch before placing him down so that I was on top of him with his legs still wrapped around my waist and his arms around my neck, his hands in my hair. Alex pulled my face down to meet his and our lips brushed softly before they melted together in a heated kiss. All too soon Alex pulled away.
‘I need to get ready for my gig tonight’ He sighed.
‘But I was having fun’ I whined like a child.
‘We can have fun later’ He said, winking as he slid out from underneath me and headed to his bedroom. I sat up and rested my head against the back of Alex’s couch and began to dream of our wedding.

‘Oh Jack, I didn’t know you were there’ Alex’s mum said shocked, I sat up quickly startled by her voice. I didn’t realise she had come home. ‘I guess I shouldn’t be surprised though’
‘Yeah, I’m just waiting on Alex beautifying himself’ I joked.
‘You’ll be waiting for a while then. Anyway, how is the wedding planning going?’ She asked watching as a huge smile broke out across my face.
‘Yeah, it’s great. We got a venue!’
‘Really? Where?’ she exclaimed excitedly
‘You know the big house on the lake?’. She nodded. ‘Well there.’
‘OH JACK, im so happy for you!’ she exclaimed throwing her arms around my neck and hugging me tightly.
‘Eh mum, get off he’s mine!’ Alex whined from the stairs. We just laughed and Alex’s mum let go of me.
‘You ready babe?’ I asked him.
‘Yeah let’s go’, he skipped towards the door shouting bye mum as he went. I followed him and got into my car, waiting till he got all his stuff in and then drove off.

*time lapse 2 hours*
‘Hey guys’ Alex yelled into the microphone on stage. ‘Long time no see eh?’ Everyone cheered loudly, me included.
‘Well guys, see since the last time you seen me’ he continued, taking a dramatic pause. ‘I got engaged’ He wiggled his hand in the air showing off the ring as everyone cheered.
‘Who is the lucky girl?’ Someone in the crowd shouted. Alex just laughed.
‘The lucky BOY is that beautiful man over there’, he said pointing at me. Everyone turned around and stared at me and I could feel my cheeks go bright red.
‘AWW look, he’s blushing’ Alex teased from up on stage. ‘Any way I would like to devote this song to him. So, Jack Barakat this is for you’ Alex winked at me and started playing.

‘I love you Jack’ Alex whispered into the microphone with tears in his eyes. I was crying too but they were tears of happiness.
‘I love you more’ I shouted back to him watching as he grinned madly and continued his set.


Two hours later I was practically carrying Alex to my car, he had been drinking and was more than a little tipsy. He was leaning into my side and staggering as I tried to hold him up. We got to the car and I managed to get him in the seat and buckled in. I really didn’t want to take him home in this state so I decided to take him to my apartment and I would phone his mum to say where he was.

Arriving at my apartment, I managed to pull Alex from the car and get him on his feet as he babbled on about something I couldn’t understand. I dragged him through the door and let him go knowing he wouldn’t hurt himself in here. I went to go into the living room but was stopped by my drunken fiancée who dragged me to the bedroom and pushed me roughly onto the bed and straddled me.
‘Lex, what are you doing?’ I asked.
‘I said we could have fun later, it’s later’ He said, his breath washed over my face and I could smell the alcohol. He began to hungrily kiss at my neck and try to pull my shirt over my head.
‘Lex, stop. I need to tell your mum where you are’, I said not really wanting him to stop. He pouted at me and I gently kissed his lips.
‘We can have fun when I get back’ I promised, rolling him off me and grabbing his phone to call his mum. I walked into my hallway and quickly dialled her number. She answered on the second ring.

‘Alex?’, She asked.
‘No it’s Jack. I was just phoning to say that Alex is gonna stay over here tonight. I didn’t want you to worry.’
‘Oh okay Jack, well yous two have a good night. Be safe’ I cringed at her words.
‘Goodnight’ I replied as I swiftly ended the call.

I stripped out of my shirt and jeans leaving only my boxers on and walked back into the bedroom to be greeted by the sound of gentle snores. I looked at the bed to see Alex fast asleep in the position I had left him in. I chuckled gently to myself and shook my head, so much for having fun. Carefully I stripped off Alex’s clothes and picked him up so that I could put him under the covers. His mouth was slightly open and he was still emitting soft snores. I got under the blankets with him and pulled his body closer to mine, resting my face in his hair as I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
