Alex POV:
(One week later also Halloween)
I made sure that the Superman costume looked before exiting to see the guys. Jack was dressed up like Batman and Zack was supposed to be a wrestler or something? All I know is that he’s pretty much walking around in a speedo, a cape, and a wig. It was kind of scary if you ask me. Rian was being boring, as usual, and I wanted to see what Olivia was wearing. She told me that she was just dressing up to pass out candy to the neighborhood kids. I usually don’t because I’m gone, but now the Gaskarth home will be open for trick-or-treaters.
“Look at all the super heroes.” Rian laughed at the three of us.
“Hey shut up man,” Jack pointed at him.
“Yeah, you’re the one out of place.” I put a hand on my hip and one in the air. “I’m going to fly off now.”
I went out of the dressing room and into the hall. I got out my phone to Skype Olivia. I clicked on her profile and waited for her to pick up.
“Hey there Superman,” She winked once she picked up.
“And hey there Superwoman,” I tried to act strong and sexy; I don’t even know if it’s working.
“So how’s it going?” She smiled.
“Pretty good, we’re almost ready to start the show.” I looked around the hallway to see a bunch of people starting to move around. I went back inside the dressing room at the guys.
“Cool,” she still smiled, “Can I see everyone’s costumes?”
“Oh yeah, of course,” I switched the camera around so it pointed towards the others. “Jack over here is Batman.” I pointed the camera and he smiled and waved.
“Hey there fellow super,” she laughed.
“Wait, Olivia’s a superhero too?” Jack jumped off the couch and looked at the screen. “Wow, you look great!”
“Thanks Jacky,” she laughed, “I went to work in my costume today, because we had this costume thingy going on. Anyways, I thought it was cute because Lex was Superman.”
“You guys seriously coordinated your costumes?” Rian rolled his eyes.
“Well I know you and Cass did too, because you didn’t dress up.” Olivia said back to him.
“Are you with her now?” Rian asked.
“Well duh,” she made a face, “I wouldn’t pass out candy by myself.”
“Hey guys.” Cassadee walked into view. Liv was right; she hadn’t dressed up at all. What was the point in passing out candy if you’re not going to take it seriously?
“What’s up?” Jack asked.
“Just got back from the store,” she sighed. “People are so crazy this time of year.”
“People are crazy all year round.” I laughed.
“While that proves a good point,” Liv said, “we’ve got to get going.”
“Alright baby,” I cooed, “I’ll see you soon.”
“Okay babe,” the doorbell rang, “I gotta go. Bye!” She hung up. I turned to look at all the guys who had smiles pasted on their faces.
“What?” I asked.
“Shut up man,” Jack nudged me on his way out the door, “We’ve got a show to play.”
“Alright, thank you guys so much for an amazing show!” I yelled into the mic. “I can’t wait until next time!”
“Goodnight you sexy motherfuckers!” Jack yelled into the mic before we got off stage. We handed our guitars off and went back down to the dressing room. Thankfully some towels were waiting for me so I could wipe the sweat off my face and neck. I sighed as I wiped it all off. We could still hear them calling our names for an encore, but we did two already. To be honest whenever they did that it broke my heart because we only have two songs picked out for an encore every time. Jack walked into the bathroom and grabbed a towel from the counter and wiped himself off too. Rian was always the sweatiest; playing the drums really is a lot of work. Zack walked in last and grabbed his towel to remove the sweat off of his face as well. We set the towels back down before going out to the bus. We got a reaction that I’ll never get tired of. We signed and took pictures with the amazing kids that are always by our bus after the shows. Once we finally got back on the bus we fell onto the couches.
“Man, I’m gonna shower.” Rian shook his head as he went towards the shower.
“I’m going next!” I called after him.
“Then I get to go after you.” Jack poked me.
“Fine, I’ll go last again.” Zack laughed and I waited for Rian to finish his shower so I could go. Rian didn’t take very long in the shower, he was always quick. He walked out of the bathroom in some fresh clothes and sat down next to Zack.
“Dude you smell.” Was all I heard before I went into the bathroom to get fresh and clean. Slipping out of that costume when you’re all sweaty is not an easy task, trust me. I got under the hot water and made sure my whole body was soaked. I reached for the shampoo first so I could wash all of the sweat out of my hair. Next I washed my face, gotta keep that clean. Then I washed the rest of my body with that same bar of soap. I rinsed off and turned off the shower. I dried off and wrapped myself up in a towel before looking around the bathroom for my sweat pants and a clean shirt. I slipped into my clean clothes and dried my hair off the best I could. I gathered up my dirty clothes and carried them to the junk bunk. Jack jumped off the couch and ran into the bathroom. I laughed to myself and went back to the couch.
“Alright man, your turn.” Jack shook the water out of his hair as he walked out of the bathroom. Zack rolled his eyes before going into the bathroom for his own shower. She was tired so I let her go to bed before going out and celebrating Halloween right. Some candy and drinks with my boys. The only thing that could make this better would be having my girl at my side.
