Alex POV:
(One week later)
We had the rest of the month off and we didn’t start touring again until next year. And today is my birthday. I wasn’t expecting anything crazy, just a small party with friends. I was going to spend it with my lovely girlfriend and some close friends. I pulled into the driveway and saw that the house was dark. I guess nobody’s here yet.
“Happy birthday baby.” Olivia engulfed me into a hug as soon as I got into the house. I didn’t get to see her this morning because she left for work before I woke up.
“Thanks babe.” I hugged her back and looked around the empty house. “Where is everyone?”
“Oh we decided to go out instead.” Jack walked into the room and smiled.
“Alright then,” I was a little disappointed but hey at least I got to celebrate, right? Jack and Olivia guided me back outside to my car. Olivia decided to drive and made Jack and I sit in the backseat.
“Why do I have to sit back here?” I groaned.
“Because I told you to,” Olivia laughed. I looked out the window and tapped my foot, waiting for time to go by. We pulled up to a place that I didn’t recognize.
“Where are we?” I asked.
“You’ll see.” Olivia cut the engine and got out of the car. “C’mon Lex,” she held out her hand for me to hold. I gave in and walked up with her to the building. Jack ran in front of us and opened the door into the dark building. I walked into the building and the lights flipped on immediately.
“Surprise!” A giant crowd of people yelled at me. They were all familiar faces. I saw band members that we were friends with, my band, my crew, and my other friends.
“Happy birthday man!” Jack pulled me into a bro hug.
“Who planned this out?” I asked.
“Those two.” Rian pointed at Olivia and Jack.
“You really planned this out for me?” I asked them.
“Well technically Olivia did all the planning; I just did all the inviting.” Jack corrected him.
I pulled Olivia into a long hug. “Thank you,” I whispered into her ear.
“You’re welcome baby.” she whispered back, “Now go socialize with your guests.” She let go and smacked my ass as I made my way into the crowd of people that were here to celebrate my birthday. I immediately noticed that Pierce the Veil were here, even though we were going to tour with them in the spring.
“Hey man, happy fucking birthday!” Mike patted my back and handed me a beer.
“Thanks man,” I opened it up and took a long drink.
“Do you feel old yet?” Vic punched my arm.
“You just let me know how it feels to be 4 years older.” I joked.
“And another in February,” Jaime laughed.
“So how does it feel to be old?” Tony asked Vic.
“I feel like I’m on top of the world.” Vic twirled around. We all laughed at him.
“Well I should probably go socialize with some more people before Olivia gets me.” I laughed.
“Alright dude, see ya!” Jaime called as I walked away to go visit others.
“Birthday boy!” Pete pulled me aside.
“Hey Pete,” I greeted him.
“How’s your day going?” He asked.
“Pretty good, Liv and Jack really surprised me.” I laughed.
“Yeah,” He smiled. “I talked to her by the way, sweet girl.”
“Thanks man.” I said.
“Yeah, when I talked to her she was really nice.” Patrick said.
“I’m glad everyone likes her.” I laughed.
“Well go see more people buddy boy.” Pete sent me on my way.
I scanned all of the faces there and decided to go and talk to a good friend of mine, Tay Jardine. Everyone thought that we’d still be dating but we thought we’d be better off as just friends.
“Happy birthday!” She pulled me into a hug.
“Thanks for coming,” I told her before pulling away.
“We all showed up because we haven’t seen you guys in so long.” Cam came up to me and gave me a bro hug.
“Yeah man, where have you been hiding?” Jordan playfully punched my arm.
“I know, I’ve been in the dark too long.” I laughed. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see none other than Austin Carlile.
“You didn’t think you’d get away without talking to me, did you?” He laughed and pulled me into a bro hug.
“Hey man, what’s been going on?” I laughed.
“Well Jacky boy contacted me and I knew I wasn’t going to pass up your fucking birthday man.” He nudged me. “Oh and by the way, I talked to your girlfriend.”
“Oh yeah?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he looked at me seriously before cracking a smile. “Don’t fuck it up man or I’m gonna come in for the kill.”
“Alright, I’ll be sure not to.” I laughed. “Better turn up the Gaskarth charm.”
“That’s my boy.” He patted my back. “Now go be social you little ass hole.”
I continued looking around at every face at the party. I received a bunch of birthday wishes from people as I passed by. I always said thanks or gave them a hug, trying to be polite. It was so hard to talk to everyone here when there were so many people. I ended up talking to a whole bunch of dudes like the guys from the Summer Set (including their female drummer) and some more.
“Happy birthday dude!” Christopher Drew caught my attention.
“Happy birthday,” Travis was with him.
“Thanks guys,” I laughed. “How’s it going.”
“Well your girlfriend is going along nicely.” Chris smirked.
“Stop hitting on his girlfriend dude.” Travis punched his arm.
“Alexander!” I heard a familiar voice call from behind me. “Get your ass over here and give me a fucking hug!”
I ended up embracing Jeffree into a long hug. “I haven’t seen you in so long.”
“And it’s all your fault.” He laughed. “But happy birthday you little fucker.”
“Thanks.” I smiled. By now my beer got lost so I had nothing to drink while I talked with people. Who was even supplying the alcohol? It was probably so damn expensive.
“By the way,” he tapped my shoulder, “I talked to your girlfriend.”

“Yeah because she’s so great!” He placed a hand on his hip with a huge smile on his face. “How’d you manage to land that?”
“Just got lucky I guess.” I shrugged.

“Great,” she smiled, “I’ve been talking to a lot of the ladies of the bands.”

“Yeah and I really like Valarie, but I’m going to call her Val whether she likes it or not.” She giggled.
“Is Beau here too?” I asked.
“Of course he is silly.” She poked me. “Oh yeah and then I talked to Brittany and Katelynne. Copeland is just the cutest damn thing!”
“I know, she’s adorable,” I couldn’t stop myself from smiling. I think Liv is more excited about this party than I am, if that’s possible.
“And then I talked to Jenna,” Her voice trailed off but I just got lost in her beauty. How did I get so lucky? “Alex?” She brought me back to reality.
“Haven’t you talked to them before?” I tried to sound like I was listening to her the entire time.
“Well on the phone but this is the first time I’ve actually seen them in person.” I laughed. “But I feel like I’ve known them for a long time.”

“Okay, now go find Kellin; he wanted to talk to you.” She giggled.

“Cold and rainy as fuck, you know, the usual.” He laughed. “It’s turned to snow now though.”
“Well man, Maryland weather isn’t much better.” I laughed. “Oh hey, have you seen Kellin?”
“Oh yeah he’s over by the bar with Matty and Beau.” He pointed towards the corner of the room.

“No problem and happy birthday mate.” He smiled. I made my way over to the bar. All the guys immediately got up and came over to me.

“Yeah well she gets along with our wives so well and I thought that was great.” He laughed. “We should all go out sometime, like a couples retreat or something.”
“Oh yeah, Val and I were talking about a vacation soon.” Beau nodded.
“And Rian and Cassadee have to come along too.” Matty said.
“Wow guys that sounds like so much fun.” I smiled. “But what about Cope?”
“She gets to stay with grandma and grandpa.” Kellin said.
“I’ll have to talk to Olivia about it but that sounds like so much fun.” I nodded.
“Awesome we have to keep in touch to make plans.” Beau said.

“Okay dude, I can’t wait.” I smiled and ordered myself another beer. A vacation was the best idea I’ve heard in a long time. I could use a break from everything, even if it isn’t until the spring or summer.

Hey guys. Sorry to disappear but I just went back to school yesterday and I have AP history and I have to make stuff up because I switched into it and they had homework over the summer (dumb). Anyways, I have so much shit to do right now and I should be doing homework but instead I did this so I'm sorry if I can't find the time to update or anything. I promise that I will at least post on weekends and stuff so don't be upset with me.
