Alex POV:

We were entering in pairs again which I guess was a good idea. We hadn’t really practiced anything but some of us might be dancing in while others would be boring and just walk in. Jack and Lilly were pretty silly so their entrance was going to be funny. Olivia and I agreed to just dance in and then I’d spin her once before we got to the table. I smiled down at my beautiful girlfriend, one day I’d like to make her mine. We’d blow Rian and Cassadee’s wedding out of the water with our kick ass wedding.

We listened for our cue as we heard Zack and Ashley’s names being called first. Then I heard mine and Olivia’s names over the speakers. We pushed through the doors and dance our way over to the table. I spun her around once, as promised, then I bowed to her before we took our seats. I laughed at Jack when he stumbled into the room, pretending he was drunk and Lilly was behind him pretending to make sure he was okay. He fell over and she pulled him up and dragged him over to the table. Everyone laughed at his silly behavior and applauded for him and Lilly.

“That was great man.” I nudged him.

“And I even fell, just like I thought I would.” He laughed and watched Matt and Sarah enter the room. He had a stuffed Mickey and handed him off to Sarah. She just handed it back and they got into a fake fight over who should have him. Matt ended up getting him back before they got over to the table. Everyone clapped and eyed the door to watch Rian and Cassadee enter the room.

“Ladies and gentlemen it’s time for the newlywed couple Rian and Cassadee Dawson!” He boomed over the speaker. They entered the room, grinning from ear to ear. They took their seats and smiled at everyone who was looking at our little bridal table. I guess it was almost time for dinner but speeches came first.

“Alright folks, it’s time for everyone to make their speeches.” The music slowed down and quieted so it was a nice environment for speeches. “And it’s up to the parents to go first.”

I saw Cassadee’s mom come up in front of the table with a mic to say what was written down on her paper. “Cassadee,” she started to speak, tears already forming in her eyes. “I watched you experience almost everything for the first time. I was there for your first words, your first steps, and even your first love. I am so happy to see the two of you make your first love, your only love. I wish you two the best in your new life.” She wiped away her tears and hugged her daughter.

Her father came up next. “Cassadee, I’m sorry I wasn’t always there to experience everything you’ve done in your life. I wish I was there every moment of your life. But I can’t take that back because now my little girl is married to the love of her life and she’s all grown up.” He wiped away a stray tear before continuing. “And Rian, I hope that you can make my little girl happier than I ever could and I wish you two a long and happy life.” Cassadee got up to hug her father and she whispered something in his ear before he sat down.

And now it was time for Rian’s mom to come up and make a speech. “You know it seems like just yesterday little Rian was running around the house banging on anything he could.” She lightened the mood even though she had tears forming in her eyes. “But then he grew up and his hands held drumsticks and those random items were replaced with a drum set. And now he’s making it in the big time with his best friends and this lovely young woman by his side. I’m so happy the two of you are making your love official. I love both of you and of course I wish you both the best of luck in your new life.” Rian got up and hugged his mom tightly before she went back to her seat.

And now Rian’s real dad came up to the table to make his speech. “Rian, I’m really sorry I wasn’t there to be the father that you needed in your life. But I’m so proud that you followed your dreams and made the life you want with the woman that you love. I’m really proud of you son and I hope that you two will have the best life that you can possibly make for yourselves.” This caused tears for Rian, and I’ve never seen him cry before. I always thought that he was a tough guy.

Ashley stood up from her chair so she could go next. “Cassadee, I’m so happy for the two of you. You both had your dreams and now you’re chasing them together. You’re both musicians and lovers and you make it work. I can’t think of any more words to describe how happy I am for the both of you but I hope that this speech says it all.” She smiled and hugged Cassadee before sitting back down.

And now it was Zack’s turn, I was pretty excited to hear it since he hadn’t shared it with anybody. “Hey man,” He patted Rian’s shoulders, “You know I’m not one for speeches but I’m trying with this. I’m super happy for the both of you finally getting married. I knew once you guys started dating that you’d be in it for the long run and you two have run through some shit in the past but you managed to work through it for your own sake and I’m really proud. You guys have gotten so strong together and you’ve even grown a little along the way. I wish you two a lifetime of happiness down the road.” Rian pulled him into a bro hug and smiled with him.

And now it was time for Olivia’s speech. I gave my angel a reassuring smile before she took a deep breath and started to speak. “It’s been an interesting past few months living with my brother. For one, his friends are crazy but they keep him grounded. His new wife is absolutely amazing and I can’t think of anyone else who would be as perfect of a match for him as she is. Being my half-brother, we didn’t really grow up together since we lived on opposite ends of the country. But he was still my brother so I tried to talk to him as often as I could so I always felt close with him. And now that I’m seeing how happy he is with Cassadee, I can’t even describe how proud and I happy I am for both of you. And thanks for asking me to be a part of your wedding Cass. I love you guys.” She pulled Cassadee into a hug and then she went over to hug Cassadee then handed me the mic.

I cleared my throat before starting my speech. “You know, after hearing all those, I’m not really sure how my speech is going to live up to theirs.” I earned a laugh from the crowd. “But I remember when we would just be practicing for the band in Rian’s basement and we’d talk about girls after that. Then we started to make it into the big time and things started to change a bit more. Once he met Cassadee I knew something was up. He told me that he was falling for her and over time they got serious. Now they’re married and I couldn’t be happier for you two.” I sat down and I guess that was the end of speeches. They started to hand out food and they opened up the bar. I dug into my food and waited for them to start up the first dances. Everyone started to finish up their food as Cassadee and Rian made their way to the dance floor to have their first dance. He held her waist with one hand and held her hand with his other. They stared into each other’s eyes throughout the entire song. The song ended and it was time to dance with the parents. Cassadee was held by his father and Rian held onto his mom during the song. I looked over at Olivia who smiled back at her. I couldn’t stop thinking about her throughout the entire wedding. I imagined this as our wedding, I imagined us getting married and having out first dance. I was just being selfish though, since it was Cassadee and Rian’s big day. The song was over before I knew it and it was time for cake. They brought out slices of cake for every guest who wanted some. I watched as Olivia made her way over to her family to greet them. She hadn’t seen them since the summer and it was already December. Come to think of it, it was a few days before my birthday then a few more days after that it would be Rian’s birthday.

Olivia POV:

“Oh sweetie, how have you been?” My mom pulled me into a long hug.

“It’s been great mom.” I told her.

“You haven’t been getting into any trouble have you?” She asked.

“Not that I know of,” I laughed.

“Well we’re proud of you.” My dad pulled me into a long hug. I let go of him and looked at Jasmine.

“Hey you know that guy’s really hot.” She smacked her gum and smirked.

“Well which one?” I asked.

“All of them, but mostly that guy you walked down with.” She hugged me.

“Well back off because he’s mine.” I told her. My parents gave me a questioning look before I waved Alex over to us. He jogged over and smiled at my parents.

“Mom, dad, this is my boyfriend Alex.” I told them.

“It’s nice to meet you.” My mom hugged him.

“Yeah it is.” My dad shook his hand and looked him over.

“It’s really nice to finally meet you guys too.” Alex had a big smile on his face.

Jasmine cleared her throat and glared at me.

“Oh yeah and this is my sister Jasmine.” I said in an unamused tone and waved a hand towards her.

“Hey,” Alex waved at her.

“Well it was nice to see you guys again but I have to go help with other things now.” I shuffled my feet around before dragging Alex to the open bar.

“I need a drink.” I told him as we stood in line and waited for our turn. I ordered some Jack Daniels and a beer. Alex copied my order and we went back to our seats. They were going to announce the dollar dance now. Alex and I took our shots before we sat down and then we gladly sipped on our beers. I hoped Zack wasn’t planning on getting drunk because I am not driving back to the hotel.

Dammit Alex, you need to calm down. And what did you guys think of the speeches? They just kind of happened.

OH BTW how excited are you guys for their new song on Tuesday? I'm fangirling to the max right now and I can't help all this giddyness.
