What is up with everyone lately? I swear everyone has been acting different. First Kendra comes up to me and apologises for everything that went down, then I have Jack being very distant from me, I mean he hardly wants to hang out anymore, and he avoids Rebecca like she’s the plague. Maybe I was wrong; maybe he really is still in love with her and is just finding it too difficult to be around us? He also seems to hate the fact that we are all friends with Kendra now after she apologised to me and Rebecca, we both forgave her and since then Rebecca and Kendra have been like best friends, always hanging out with each other…its nice for everything with her to be worked out now. But for some reason, Jacks odd behaviour keeps nagging at me, suggesting that the drama isn’t finished yet.

Walking into school, I notice my skunk haired best friend straight away standing by my locker, glancing around as people walk by, looking for someone, I shrug off his odd behaviour and walk up to him.
“Hey man, whats up?” I say greeting my bestfriend with a bro hug.
“Nothing really dude.” He replies in an off tone.
“Okay that’s it, come on.” I reply grabbing him and dragging off to an empty classroom.
“What the hell dude?” asks Jack when I close the door behind myself.
“You’re not yourself Jack, and you’re going to tell me what’s going on right this second.” I reply crossing my arms over my chest.
“Hahaha, what the fuck man? Did you suddenly become my mother or something?” Retorts Jack as he runs a hand through his hair.
“Jack seriously stop making jokes and tell me what the fuck is going on?” I question again raising my voice.
“I…nothing dude, its nothing, I’m not the one you should be worrying about!” replies Jack quietly.
“And what the hell is that supposed to mean?” I question.
“Just if I was you, I wouldn’t trust Kendra mate.” Answers Jack.
“And why shouldn’t I trust Kendra, she’s apologised, she’s friends with Rebecca, best friends may I add. And at least she’s not acting weird like some.” I respond growing impatient.
“Dude please just trust me, she’s bad news.” Pleads Jack, burying his face in his hands.
“How can I trust you when you won’t tell me why? What the fuck is up with you Jack lately, you practically avoid everyone in the group? Like seriously you’ve changed!” I shout at him, my temper rising in me.
“Woah what the fuck dude? I’m just trying to warn you here, she’s a psycho mate, she’s doing this to tear you and Rebecca apart.” Jack shouts back, removing his hands from his face.
“Wait a minute I see what this really is about! You love Rebecca, you want her for yourself! That’s why you won’t come near us, because you love her, and you make up this shit about poor Kendra as an excuse.” I reply, anger cursing through my veins.
“It’s not fucking like that! Kendra is trying to get you to herself; I see how she’s always talking to you when Rebecca’s not around, she wants you! And you know what, you flirt back because you think it’s nothing.” Jack exclaims.
“Yeah fucking right Jack, fuck you, you just want Rebecca to yourself well guess what? You can’t have her cause she’s mine, she loves me and I love her so fuck you.” I shout back as Jack stands up and walks to the door.
Quickly he turns to face me before saying quietly, “she’s trying to split you apart.” Before walking out and slamming the door shut behind him. I cover my face with my hands thinking about everything that’s just happened. I hear the sound of the door opening and closing in front of me.
“Jack just go away.” I sigh to myself, not in the mood to argue further.
“Well I guess that’s good I’m not Jack then.” Comes a feminine voice I know so well.
I look up, I come face to face with the owner of the voice.
“How much of that argument did you hear.”
They sigh as they look at me through pity eyes. “Everything.”
