Chapter 5

"So, where do you girls want to go?" I ask them. I thought maybe I would make them feel special or important by making them feel like they are free to be themselves and make decisions around us.

"Um, I don't know. I thought you already knew where we were going?" Megan asks me quite confused. I loved her confused expression. I thought it was adorable.

"Nah. I think we're going to let you girls decide today." I answer looking at the other guys to see if they knew what I was up to and sure enough they did.

"Wherever I guess." Megan answers. It doesn't seem like she's a real decisive person either. Whether it be because she's shy or she's just not good about making decisions. I can handle that. I'm sure I can find a way to fix that. I made her comfortable, I can make her decisive I'm sure.

"Well, where do you guys usually go?" Kayla asks us. It seems to me like Kayla was what I would consider helpful for Megan, because her and Megan were opposites, so she was able to get Megan through decisions or problems. Seems like a good best friend to me.

"Well, we are usually at one of our houses or sometimes we just chill at a park and talk yah know?" Jack explains. Hopefully that helps them decide. I was getting very impatient from just sitting there. I really just wanted to get somewhere so I could get Megan alone.

"Sure, the park is fine." Kayla answers. Alright, the park it is.

"Cool." I say calmly and somewhat relieved. I then start to drive to the park and we got there quickly. In Baltimore, everything's close by. I take it as a good thing, because it gives you more time to hang and less time to have to drive. We sat in the grass and talked and had a good time. It didn't seem like I was going to get alone time with Megan, so I decided to be by her side the entire time. Kayla and Megan got on the swings at one point and just started swinging. Jack and I were both on the same boat. We wanted to confess our feelings but couldn't. While Megan was swinging, I pushed her higher and faster while she screamed in excitement and laughed. She was happier than I had ever seen her before. Jack had been doing the same to Kayla. Things were starting to work out for us. We spent a few more hours chilling at the park before we decided to head back to my house for a while. As soon as we all walked in, my mother was in sight.

"Back again huh?" She asks Megan and Kayla excitedly. "Nice seeing you two here again." I think Megan had finally realized that I knew what I was talking about when I said my mom was very welcoming. We went to my room and did all the same things we did yesterday. Whenever we played video games, I did everything I could to be Megan's team mate. I was trying to show her that I liked her without being extremely obvious. Whenever I felt like I had something the slightest bit important to say, I always made sure she was paying attention. I wanted her to feel important. Around 5, I had to leave and take Megan and Kayla home again. Hanging out together was going by a lot faster now that they were part of our clique. When we got to their house I gave Megan a hug goodbye and went in the house with her again to tell her mom I was safe, even though again, it was just to be around her longer. I started to head home again and as soon as I got home I went back upstairs to hang out with the guys. They were staying over late tonight. As far as weekends, they pretty much stayed Friday afternoon till Sunday night so they could be home before school in the morning. Sometimes, they stayed till really late hours of the night. It just depended on the situation. Continuing to hang, I then realized something. I couldn't stop thinking about Megan. I really just wanted to be with her. I couldn't wait any longer. I then decided to text her.
