Chapter 19

It was now the beginning of November. Megan was due in a couple weeks for the baby. We were still getting crap from people at school, but at this point we didn't even care. We were so used to it, it meant nothing to us. It was part of our every day life at this point. One morning I had went shopping before I went to go pick up Megan. When I picked her up, we headed to my house to hang out just her and I, boyfriend and girlfriend. It had been a while since her and I had some alone time. Next thing I know, I see Megan throw her hands into her stomach to start rubbing it, as she almost screamed. All that came out was a moan.

"Baby! Are you ok?" I say freaking out. I hugged her really hard. Every time she had the slightest pain I got paranoid. Better safe than sorry.

"Yes, I'm fine. The baby's just kicking that's all." She tells me. I then put my hand on her stomach and started to rub her belly. I then moved my head towards her belly, and kissed it. That was my way of showing love to our daughter. She smiled, and I could tell she was still in a little bit of pain. We continued to hang occasionally and sometimes Kayla and the guys were over too. One night, Megan and I were hanging out together. I had to be heading home soon, so before I left we were sitting on her front porch cuddling. Just then, the shopping I had done a while ago was going to come into effect. I stood her up and got in front of her.

"You know I love you right Megan?" I ask her. She smiles.

"Of course. I love you too." She answers. Well, here it goes. I then got down on one knee and pulled out the ring I had bought her. She then started to cry what I would assume was happy tears.

"Megan, will you marry me? We can have the baby, and graduate then we can go live together, and be a perfect happy family. So, Megan will you marry me?" I couldn't help but smile while watching her as happy as she was.

"Yes, I will." I then put the ring on her finger and we hugged for a good 5 minutes and then I started to kiss her, and couldn't stop. Even she couldn't stop. I had wanted this perfect night for a long time and it finally was happening. I was going to be with Megan forever, and I never thought that it would actually happen. I loved her so much, and now she was mine forever. The next couple weeks went by pretty fast and it was 2 days before Megan was due for the baby. It was a Thursday. Megan and I were both very excited for her to be born and we were finally going to see her. Everyone knew about Megan and I now being engaged, and all were happy for us. We still got some crap from school but whatever. Nothing's stopping us now. One day, all of us, being Megan, Jack, Kayla, Zack, Rian and I were hanging out.

"So you excited to have the baby?" Zack asks Megan. Zack seemed to almost be out of his shell. It wasn't often anymore that he was quiet around Kayla and Megan.

"Yes, very. These 2 days seem longer then they really are." She tells him. As the day progressed, the baby was kicking more and more. Part of me felt like she would go into labor today, but at the same time I figured it was just me being paranoid. Around 7 pm, all the intensity showed up.

"Oh my God!" Megan yells freaking out. Everyone then looks at her scared, even me. "My water! It just broke!" I could tell that she was scared. All of the guys, even me became extremely overwhelmed and even were screaming. Without thinking we all ran to the car and realized we left Megan and Kayla behind. Within a matter of seconds, Kayla was running out and dragged all of us back into the house.

"Megan is in so much pain she can't walk. She needs to be carried out, and I can not carry her." Kayla says. I could tell that this was awkward for Megan. I'm sure this wasn't something she could imagine going through with us. We all just sat there and stared at her, unsure what to do.
