Lullabies

I was still wondering what Megan was doing downstairs. I just talked to the guys and Kayla while we waited for her. We played a couple games and it was only a few minutes before Megan came upstairs and sat next to me. We had her joined us in the video games. I noticed that Jack was cuddling Kayla. The 2 of us just about do everything together, and this will be one of those things.

"So what were you doing?" I ask pulling her in to cuddle with me.

"I had to talk to your mom about something. It was about earlier." She explains to me. I felt good knowing that Megan was comfortable with my mom. I wanted to know exactly what was said, but I figured I would ask a little later.

"Oh, ok. Forget about her baby. I love you." I say swinging in a giving her a kiss. I just wanted this whole thing to pass.

"I love you too." We continued to hang till the day was over and I took everyone home. I came back home and dinner was ready when I got there. At dinner, I decided to ask my mom about earlier.

"So, Megan told me you talked to her?" I asked my mom. I was just curious about what happened overall.

"Yes, she told me what happened earlier at school with you guys." She says to me. "The whole still born thing." I think she could've went without reminding me what it was, but whatever. "I'm really sorry that you guys had to deal with that."

"Yea. What did you say to her exactly?" I asked her. I was wondering how they're bonding time went.

"Well, I told her that I'm happy she trusts me enough to tell me that and told her that I was really sorry that it happened. She also asked me how you felt about this whole baby thing from my knowledge. I told her that you really care about her and the baby. I told her that you talk about them constantly, and how you're excited to have your guys' daughter born in a couple months. I also told her that you're different with her, because you really are. I told her that you're happy with her and that you love her and from what I can see." She explains to me. Wow, I'm sure that made Megan feel good. It was nice to know that my mom said all that to her. My mom was surely right.

"You're right mom, thank you for telling her that." I say to her. "I'm sure that made Megan feel really good about herself."

"Well, I'm glad. She also hugged me and thanked me for being supportive." She says. "She's a really nice girl Alex. I know you guys can get through this." I really loved how supportive she was being for us. We really needed it. The next couple months flew by really fast, almost faster than Megan and I had wanted them to.
