I think we can all agree there’s nothing wrong with be sensitive to assholes; they’re the worst.

There will probably be a bit more asshole-ness all around as this story progresses, unfortunately, so bear with me. :-)

Well, it didn't just get flipped upside down. If I recall correctly, they waited quite a while before actually talking to each other during the tour. Also, Alex talked with him before. If he really couldn't handle it, he wouldn't have been so 'cool' around Alex. No matter who the person is and what your relationship with them is, there's no way you can just act that calm unless you mean it. Maybe he just felt like he had to act dramatically? Like he had to get revenge on Riley?

I just meant to give him the benefit of the doubt in the sense that maybe he doesn’t mean to be a giant a-hole, he’s just freaking out because his whole life just got flipped upside down and he’s certainly not sure how to handle it just yet - kind of like he said.

He's the one giving false hope.
It will be like me going out with my childhood best friend and only throwing at them what they did wrong, forgetting about all the good times. Sure, what Riley did was more than messed up. But you don't just do that to other people.

I totally agree that Brian was a bit pushy but for the time being I’m sort of giving any douchy behavior the benefit of the doubt.

As for their talk. Very typical. I kinda already assumed he was going to react this way. I just think it's stupid that he wanted to talk and just continuously shuts her down whenever she tries to explain anything. It's so contradicting. If he didn't want anything but to pick a fight, what's the point?

Yes, Brian is being kind of a dick but I think it’s all warranted.

I think I’ve decided, the time skip will be coming probably after the next chapter. Thanks for the feedback!

I feel you on the time skip. I'm considering the same thing for one of my stories cause it will be way too long otherwise. Do as you see fit. Just make sure you make it clear that a couple of months passed.

I liked this! It fit so well. Brian's being a bit of a dick, but totally understandably. Ugh.
Also, time skip is totally okay with me. No point wasting time writing filler when there's juicy stuff to come!
