Alex’s POV

“Why won’t it stop crying?” I groaned as I walked round the sitting with the baby screaming its head off.
“Does he need his nappy changing?” Jack asked and I frowned at him.
“How the fuck am I meant to know that? Christ why didn’t it come with a manual.” I said and looked at Jack.
“Lift him about your head and sniff, you should smell it if he has had a poo or not.” Jack said and I lifted the baby up and sniffed and couldn’t smell nothing.
“It doesn’t smell.” I said and Jack chuckled.
“He is not an It. He is a baby and his name is Jayden.” Jack said.
“At the moment he is an It.” I said and Jack rolled his eyes.
“Is he hungry?” Jack asked.
“How the fuck am I meant to know?” I said stressing out as it wasn’t going to shut up any time soon.
“Give him a bottle and if he takes the bottle then he wanted food.” Jack said and I looked at Jack.
“How the fuck do you know this?” I asked as I followed Jack out to the kitchen and watched him make up a bottle.
“Izzy has a kid, I would help her look after the baby. So I know my shit.” Jack said and I lent against the side hoping that giving the baby a bottle would shut it up.
“Here, feed him.” Jack said softly and hand me the bottle which I took and offered it to the baby which he accepted and started to drink the milk.
“Thank fuck for that, thought he was never going to shut up.” I said and Jack chuckled as he lent against the side and watched me.
“Having the baby looks good on you.” Jack said and I looked at him and smiled.
“You think?” I asked and Jack walked over to me and kissed me.
“Yeah, You’ve got this daddy.” Jack said quietly which made me smile.
“For a little person you sure are heavy young man.” I said and I walked towards the sitting room and I sat on the sofa and Jack joined me.

The baby was asleep by the time dad got home and Jack had his head on my lap and he was asleep.
“Hey boys.” Dad said as he walked in the sitting room and his eyes went straight to the buggy.
“What is that?” Dad asked and looked at me since he knew it would be me and not Jack since he was 100% gay and he knew it wouldn’t be Luna as she was gay as well so the only one left was me.
“Um, that is apparently my son.” I said quietly and I lifted Jack’s head up gently and I got up and put a cushion under his head.
“What?” Dad asked again.
“Oh fuck.” I whispered and rubbed my hand up and down my neck as I looked down.
“The Baby is Apparently mine.” I said quietly.
“Get upstairs right now.” Dad growled which meant I was going to get shouted at.
I looked at Jack and guessed the baby was going to be okay with Jack so I left and went upstairs and gingerly walked into dads room where I sat on the bed looking down and messed with my hands.
I heard dad come upstairs and he walked over and lent against the door frame after he took his top off.
“Explain to me why there is a baby asleep in the sitting room.” Dad said seriously as he walked into the room and put a hoodie on.
“Because I had sex with a girl who said she was on the pill so I didn’t cover it and Hey 16 months later she knocks on the front door say that the baby was mine.” I said and dad looked at me.
“Jesus Christ Alexander.” Dad said and it was times like this when I really wanted Mum around.
“Was this The girl who fucked Zack behind your back?” Dad asked and I nodded.
“Yeah.” I whispered.
“Does the baby have a name?” Dad asked and I looked at him.
“I don’t want a baby dad, Christ I’m fucking 17 years old and I have my whole life ahead of me. I have everything planned and now it’s all fucked up because of the baby.” I said and dad looked at me.
“You aren’t giving up on that baby Alexander, the baby has been abandoned by it mother and now it’s your responsibility to look after him. You should of thought about that before you had sex without a condom.” Dad said and I sighed.
“Just can’t believe you was this stupid.” Dad said as he flopped on the bed and I looked at him.
“You won’t leave will you? Like what Mum did.” I said sadly and dad looked at me and he sat back up and pulled me into his side.
“I’m not leaving you. I know you miss your mother but she left us. I would never abandon you with a baby Christ knows what would happen to it.” Dad said and i sighed loudly.
“Yeah You’ve fucked up. But having a kid will literally be the best and worst thing that has happened to you.” Dad said and I looked at him as I pulled away.
“You’ve got me, Jack and Luna who will help you with the baby. You aren’t giving up on this baby Lex.” Dad said and I sighed as I looked down.
“Say, what’s the baby’s name?” Dad asked.
“Jayden.” I said quietly.
“I’m still furious with you Alex, but I’ll help when I can and I’ll support you and tell you want to do since you are probably clueless.” Dad said and I chuckled.
“Jack’s been helping. Think he’s a better dad than me.” I said and dad shook his head.
“You’ll get there, you just need to grow up a lot now.” Dad said and I nodded.
“Go on bugger off. I’ll order pizza.” Dad said and I got up and so did dad.
“Come here you.” Dad said and I walked over and dad pulled me into a hug which I returned and dad kissed the side of my head.
“You’ve got this.” Dad whispered and I smiled as I pulled back and I went down stairs and saw Jack was still asleep and I walked over to the buggy and saw the baby was awake so I picked him up and sat on the floor.

“Hey little man.” I said and the baby smiled which I returned.
“Look kid, I don’t even know if your mine or not but I promise I’ll try and be the best dad I can be to you.” I said and the baby reached his hands out and he got hold of my face.
“Ow that hurts.” I said as I frowned at the baby.
“Let go that hurts, you don’t grab at people faces.” I said and peeled his hands from my face which made him giggle.
“Glad you find this entertaining.” I said as I rubbed my face.
I put the baby down and went looking through the bag and found a teddy and a couple of books.
I picked a book and sat down on the sofa and picked the baby up and sat him on my lap and began to read to him.
When I finished I looked after I finished and saw Jack and dad watching me.
“Aw look at you two bonding.” Dad said and I stuck my middle finger up at him just as the baby threw the book and giggled as he looked at me and I just rolled my eyes.
“Go and sit on Jack.” I said and put him on Jack who wrapped his arms round the baby.
“Hey little man.” Jack said happily as I stood up and went to get myself a drink.
Dad followed me out to the kitchen.

“Where is he going to sleep for the night? He can’t sleep in the buggy, he’ll fall out if he wakes up in the night.” Dad said.
“I don’t bloody know.” I said and made myself a tea.
“We can’t go shopping now as we left it too late but tomorrow we’ll go shopping for baby stuff because Jayden will need stuff.” Dad said and I sighed.
“Guess I can kiss my university funds goodbye.” I said and dad chuckled.
“It’s not the end of the world if you don’t go to university. You can always get a good job without going to university.” Dad said.
“I can’t because what I want to do with my life involves me going to university unless I want to end up working at McDonald’s and then what would the point be for the last year of stress to make sure I got the grades.” I said.
“Lex, your mother and I was both the same as you when you came on the scene and we managed and I got to do the job I wanted. I just had to work that little bit harder though. I know you can do this Lex.” Dad said and I looked at him.
“Seeing you reading to Jayden, it reminds me of me when your mother brought you home for the first time.” Dad said and he looked down and I put my hand on top of dads and he looked at me.
“Do you think Mum would be disappointed with me?” I asked and dad smiled.
“No she wouldn’t be disappointed, she would be proud that you stepped up and take on Jayden and be the best parent you can be. You and Jack will be good parents.” Dad said and I smiled and Jack walked out to the kitchen with the baby.
“Also Lex.” Dad said and I looked at him.
“Jayden has a name. Call him by his name and not a It or baby.” Dad said and I nodded and looked at Jack.
“What are daddy and grandpa doing. I recon their talking about you.” Jack said and I smiled at him as I walked over to them and stroked his chubby cheeks.
“You need some proper boy clothes.” I said as Jayden smiled and Jack handed him over to me and I took him where I felt a wet patch.
“That shit or piss?” I asked and looked at dad who was chuckling to himself.
“It’s urine, don’t worry that pretty head of yours.” Dad said and I breathed a sigh of relief as one shitty nappy was bad enough.
I took Jayden off and changed his nappy and just let him loose round the sitting in just his nappy.

Me and Jack got a bit inventive when it was time to put Jayden to bed so his bed for the night was a draw and to make it comfortable for him we used jumpers and dad had a spare blanket so we used that to cover him up and keep him warm.
“So we now can’t have sex in our room so what do we do now?” I said just as dad walked into the room hearing what I said.
“Sex is what got you into trouble young man.” Dad said and I looked at him.
“I’m not even going to talk about this with you.” I said and dad looked at me.
“Why not? It’s not as if I don’t know what you two get up too when I’m not here.” Dad said and I rolled my eyes.
“Because it’s personal.” I said seriously.
“If you really want to know, Alex really likes bottom.” Jack said and I looked at him and slapped his chest hard which must of hurt him as he didn’t have his top on.
“Ouch.” Jack said and looked at me as I glared at him.
“I’m not even going to respond to that.” Dad said and Jack chuckled.
“That’s why I said it.” Jack whispered in my ear.
“But there was no need to say what you said.” I said.
“Okay You two stop having a tiff. Let’s watch this film.” Dad said as he put the foot rest up on his chair.
“Oh yeah.” Dad said as he got comfy which made me chuckle and I kissed Jack’s chest on where I slapped him.
“I’m sorry I slapped you.” I said quietly.
“It’s fine, I forgive you.” Jack said.
I yawned loudly and I got up.
“Where you going?” Dad asked and I looked at him.
“I’m exhausted.” I said and I went upstairs and checked on Jayden and he was sound asleep so I stripped down to my pants and turned the tv on hoping it doesn’t wake Jayden which he doesn’t and I climbed into bed and went on Jack’s side on the bed and watched some crap until I fell asleep.

“Babe, baby wake up for me a second.” I heard Jack say and I opened my eyes and saw Jack holding Jayden.
“What’s the matter with Jay?” I mumbled.
“It’s nothing he was awake when I came in, Think the tv woke him up.” Jack said and I sighed loudly.
“I’m not giving my cuddles up for him.”I said and Jack chuckled and he walked over and sat on the bed and I looked and saw Jayden was falling back asleep again.
“He’s a good baby at night. He can stay.” Jack said and I chuckled quietly.
I felt Jack move off the bed and a couple of seconds later he came into bed and I moved and cuddled into his back.
“You make cute babies.” Jack said quietly.
“Thanks for that.” I mumbled.

“Night Lex, I love you.” Jack whispered and I smiled and kissed between his shoulder blades and I fell asleep hoping that Jayden doesn’t wake up during the night.
