Four months ago
Veronica

Veronica was on her way to visit her boyfriend Brody, she’s been out of town for a month and a half taking pictures of a band because their normal photographer was on a different tour that went longer than originally thought. Brody is under the impression that Veronica is going to be gone for another week, however the tour the other photographer was on ended early.

Veronica just got in the cab that she called to pick her up from the airport, and gave the cabbie her boyfriend’s address. She was going to surprise him, he’s always loved surprises. What Veronica didn’t know was that she’d be the one getting surprised.

The cab stopped outside his apartment complex and Veronica payed him, then got out making sure to grab her suitcase and camera bag from the trunk. She thanked him again before he drove off and made her way to Brody’s apartment on the first floor.

When Veronica approached the door she heard noises from inside the apartment and the door was unlocked, which was strange. She took out her phone ready to call 911 just in case she needed to. She also grabbed a heavy book and began her search of the apartment.

It wasn’t until she heard a voice scream her boyfriend’s name that she realized that the noises weren’t coming from an intruder. She made her way to Brody’s room, where the door was wide open that her suspicions were confirmed. She put her phone in her back pocket and dropped the book loudly.

“Surprise babe, I’m home.” Veronica seethed.

“Brody, you said she wasn’t going to be home for another week.” The mysterious girl said.

“I got off early, and I’m glad I did. You know Brody, my friends warned me about you. Hell, for the last four months Lisa told me that there was something off. I told her she was being overprotective. I haven’t talked to her in weeks because I was defending you, when she’s been right. They were all right.” Veronica ranted, close to tears.

“Babe, no. Don’t do this.” Brody pleaded.

“Don’t do what? Break up with you? Well that's exactly what I'm doing. Answer me one question though. How long has this been going on?”

“This is the first time I swear.”

“Honey, he's lying to you. My name’s Liz, and I'm sorry for what I did. I was under the impression that you guys were in an open relationship. He's done this with three of my friends, and we've been fuck buddies since you left. I'll get my stuff and go. I'm sorry again.” Liz said.

“Thank you for being honest, Liz. You on the other hand Brody, go fuck yourself. I'm done with you.” Veronica spat.

“Babe no, don't do this. It will never happen again. I promise.”

“How am I supposed to believe that? You couldn't even be honest about how long you've been cheating on me so why should I believe that it will never happen again?”

“Uh”

“Exactly. Goodbye Brody, have a nice life.”

With that Veronica turned around, grabbed the stuff she left by the door in his apartment, and left.

She walked to her apartment complex which was only a few blocks away. Normally she'd call a cab or an uber, but she needed the time to think and process. By the time she got to her building tears were running down her face and no one she saw stopped her, knowing she'd lash out at them.

She got in the elevator and on the ride up to her floor, she took her phone out of her pocket and called Lisa.

“Hello?” Lisa said when she answered the phone, not having looked at the caller ID before hand.

“Hey Lisa. It's Veronica. Before you hang up I just wanted to tell you that you were right. Brody is a scumbag.”

“What did he do?”

“I just got back from touring with Hey Violet, and like I got off a week early so I decided to surprise him. I go to his apartment and hear noises from outside and the door was unlocked. So like any rational human I put my stuff just inside the door, take my phone out to call 911, and grab something heavy just in case. Then I heard a girl scream out his name in pleasure, I'm sure you can figure out the rest from there.”

“Yeah, anything I can do?”

“Are you in Baltimore? Or are you visiting the guys I have yet to meet?”

“I'm in Baltimore, why?”

“I want to go out. I don't want to sit around and mope. I want to drink and have fun.”

“I like the sound of that. Want me to call the rest of the girls or do you want it to be just us?”

“Just us.”

“Okay. I'll be there in an hour.”

Lisa kept true to her word and was at Veronica’s apartment an hour later. They ventured to a club, and drank insane amounts of alcohol. Lisa eventually called a cab and left, leaving Veronica alone. Veronica however stayed longer, and ended up having a one night stand with a guy whose name she couldn’t remember.

This became Veronica’s reputation. Every Friday and Saturday night she'd go to a club, get extremely drunk, and have a one night stand with someone whose name she could never remember. She would always be gone before they woke up, leaving no sign that she was there.

Notes

So I deleted It's Gonna Be My Year because I feel it just didn't flow together, and I just overall didn't like it anymore. This story is taking it's place and I have so many ideas for it.
