I'm Gonna Break Down These Walls

"I am so going to fucking kick your ass in Halo!" shouted Jack at Rian. I've known these boys for a few hours but Alex and Jack seem to cuss a lot. Every sentence contains of a cuss word. Well, almost every sentence.

"Shut up! I so own at this game," said Rian.

Alex sat down next to me on the other couch and he opened his can of soda. He took a sip from it and then looked at me. I raised an eyebrow. "So Miss Martin," he said.

"Yes, Mr. Gaskarth?" I said.

"What's your favorite color?"

"Purple." We went back and forth and I'm sure by the end of that we all knew each other pretty well. The other boys would ask me questions as well and they would answer my questions.

"If you could totally do one of us, who would you pick?" asked Jack.

"I am not answering that!" I said. "That's so weird and I just met you guys."

"It's me isn't it?"

"Fuck off."

"Dude, she totally wants to do Alex. It's obvious," said Zack.

"Shut up! I don't want to do anyone, thank you very much."

"Alright, alright, leave her alone," said Rian and I smiled. "She doesn't want to do any of us. Definitely not you Jack. You could have so many STD's because you're a whore."

"Fuck you," said Jack, crossing his arms over his chest.

"No, thanks. I have a girlfriend and besides Alex is your lover."

"But of course." He winked at Alex and he rolled his eyes as I laughed at them. "We've been lovers since the first day we met."

"Anyways, did you know that we have a band together?" Zack said.

"Really?" I raised an eyebrow. "That's cool. Who plays what?"

"Jack plays guitar, Alex plays guitar and sings, Zack plays bass, and I play drums," said Rian.

"Yeah, except the fact that Jack can't play guitar," said Alex.

"Shut up!" said Jack. "You're an asshole."

"You two fight a lot," I said. "It's as if you're an old married couple."

"And we have to go through this every day," said Zack, shaking his head. "Now you're going to have to, too."

I smiled. "It's okay. I actually like you guys. You're all hilarious. You guys can definitely be my best friends."

"Thanks," Alex said. "You're pretty amazing yourself." He winked and nudged me with his shoulder.

I rolled my eyes. "Thanks, Alexander."

"He's right. You are," Zack said.

"Quit hitting on her!" said Jack. "That's not right."

"Anyways," said Rian. "Do you want to hear some of our music? We're trying to get signed but you know that will take a while."

I smiled. "I would love to." I followed them down the basement and they played a couple of their songs. They were definitely amazing and Jack was good at playing at guitar. I guess that was just Alex's way of making fun of him. It was more than half way through our senior year and I'm so damn glad that school was going to be over. I had something up my sleeve but I wasn't going to tell any of them. It will end up being a surprise for them in the end. "Hey, can I get a CD of your songs?" I asked.

They all looked at me with shock and Alex nodded, grabbing a CD and handing it to me.

"Thank you." I smiled. "You guys are amazing, by the way. I love your voice, Alex." I poked his nose and he smiled, blushing slightly. "And Jack you do not suck at playing guitar, sir."

"Thank you very much, El," he said. "Hey, I already made up a nickname for you." He smiled.

I smiled. "Indeed you have." I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I answered. "Hello?"

"Eliana October Martin, where are you?" my mother asked. She wasn't mad.

"Gee, Ma, hello to you too. I'm at a new friend's house." I smiled at Jack and in return he smiled back.

"Oh, you made some new friends already? I'm glad. Will you be home for dinner?"

"Yeah, I'll be there. I'm just going to hang out here for a bit. By the way, did you know we live next door to him?" Jack’s mouth fell open and I chuckled.

"Really? That's lovely, honey. I'll see you when you get home. Bye."

"Goodbye." I hung up my phone and put it in my pocket.

"You live next door?!" Jack shouted. He was already loud enough. It’s as if he was talking in his normal voice anyways.

"Yeah, won't that be fun?" I asked.

Alex laughed. "The pretty girl next door, that's great. We all live in the same neighborhood. You're the new addition to it. Girls will be so jealous of you for hanging out with our hot asses."

I rolled my eyes. "You two are so conceited." I pointed at Jack and Alex and they just smiled. "Plus, Zack is definitely the cutest one." I put my arm on his shoulder and he blushed.

"Thanks," he mumbled.

"That's not cool. She's totally trying to make me jealous," Jack said. "It's not going to work." He crossed his arms over his chest.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, Jack Attack." I felt my phone buzz and I got a text message from my best friend, Vanessa. She was my friend back home. I laughed at her 'Yo, dawg, what's up?' text message and I replied 'Nothing, hanging out with some weird ass cool guys. You?'

"Who are you texting?" Jack asked and grabbed my phone. He started pushing buttons and then he gave it back to me.

"What did you do?!" I asked and quickly looked throughout my phone. I just noticed that he put his number in my phone. "Okay, I thought you texted my friend or something."

"Nope, but now I got your number! Hah!"

I rolled my eyes. "I might as well get everyone else's. Zachary..." I smiled sweetly. I got their numbers and I gave them mine. "I better get home before my mom has an aneurysm for not coming home for dinner." I gave them each quick hugs. "Bye."

At dinner, I talked about them and my parents seemed happy that I made new friends. I'm actually happy that I met them.
