Alex's POV

I wondered round school feeling pretty lost inside my head and wondering what to do with myself but nothing was coming to mind since my head space was just numb and blank.
I haven't even seen much of Jack, only when he wanted a fuck but it didn't bother me that much as long as my mind could be somewhere else.

I was at my locker when the door shut and I looked up and saw Jack.
"Hey Alex, haven't seen you for a while. How have you been?" Jack said and I looked down and shook my head.
"Why would you care? You only come round to mine so you can have sex with me. Why the fuck would you care now!" I said loudly and Jack looked down.
"Because you have a bandage on your arms. What the hell has been going on with you Alex." Jack said quietly and looked at me.
"Well that's my problem and not yours. Leave me alone and I want nothing to do with you anymore." I said and went to walk off but Jack grabbed hold of my arm which really hurt since I had fresh cuts on my arms.
"Get off me." I growled and looked at Jack hard.
"Have you cut yourself Alex?" Jack whispered.
"Why would you care." I hissed and Jack dragged me out of the corridor and we ended up at the hill.

"You trying to get yourself back into hospital!" Jack said loudly and he let go of my arm and I gently pulled it to my waist and nursed it.
"You don't care! You only use me for sex anyway!" I shouted.
"I do care Alex. Christ I have been there for you, can't you bloody see that I do care for you Alex! I have never cared for anyone other than Ruby, but you are different from everyone else!" Jack shouted back at me which made me look down and backed away from Jack.
"Nobody cares about me!" I said back and Jack rolled his eyes.
"So your saying that your dad doesn't care, I don't care because that is a load of bullshit and you fucking know it Alex." Jack said.
"Just leave me alone. Things are better off without me being in the picture." I said quietly.
"Lex, you listen to me okay. You are not better out of the picture, I feel like I have changed since I have met you. Lex you make me a better person, and without you I might as well go right back down the bottom of the gutter. I've finally got my grades back up and if I keep going I might actually be able to get into college and that's all because of you Alex." Jack said and I looked at him.
"I seriously couldn't of done that." I whispered.
Jack stepped forward and put his hands on my face and made sure I was looking at him.
"You have, you have changed my life Alex. Yeah I might not have let you in a lot but I feel like I've changed." Jack said and I just moved and hugged him which Jack returned.

I was cuddled into Jacks side feeling somewhat sane from how I've felt the last couple of days.
"We should be getting home, I have Ruby duties tonight." Jack said and I moved closer to him.
"Can I stay with you?" I asked quietly.
"What about your dad?" Jack asked.
"He's away for the week. I don't want to be on my own." I whispered.
"Course you can stay. I'll have to explain it to Charlie but he'll understand." Jack said and I nodded and kissed the top of my head.
"Let's go and see Ruby." Jack said and I nodded and moved away from Jack and he got up and he helped me up as well.
We got to Jacks and I went to Jacks room and I lead down with my back to the door.
