Night Drives

Jacks POV

I spent the weekend round Alex's and I had a really good time.
Still don't understand how Alex can put up with all the kids running around but I had a really good time messing around and now it was time to go back to school.

As Aurora, Luna and Asher got out the car me and Alex stayed behind and started to smoke a cigarette when Ollie showed up.
"Dudes where was you all weekend, Taylor was having a party and I texted you but you didn't reply." Ollie said and Alex handed him a cigarette.
"Ethan was rushed into hospital. I had to stay at home and look after the kids." Alex said and looked down and I put my hand on his knee which made Alex smile a little.
"Shit, is Ethan okay?" Ollie asked seriously.
"He's just really tired and he has new medication to take so he's alright at the moment." Alex said and I could feel Ollie look between me and Alex.
"You two are together aren't you?" Ollie asked bluntly.
"What gave it away?" Alex asked and looked at Ollie.
"Jacks hand on your knee. You hate people touching you." Ollie said.
"It's just my arms I don't like people looking or touching." Alex said and looked back down.
The warning bell went and Everyone groaned and we quickly smoked our cigarettes and walked to home room which was going to be interesting since Alex had a meltdown the last he was in that lesson.

Everyone was doing their work when the teacher called Alex up to the front so he could have a word with him and Ollie moved into Alex's seat and we started talking.
"So you and Alex are together." Ollie said.
"Yeah, unlike other people I can look past his scars and other problems and actually see the person Alex is." I said and Ollie smiled.
"How's it going so far then? You met his mum and dad?" Ollie asked.
"It's going really good, yeah I met his parents and his crazy family." I said and Ollie chuckled.
"I love his family, it's like they can all do what they want but everyone knows their boundaries and they know what happens if they go past the boundaries. Unlike like my very strict religious parents." Ollie said and looked down.
"Don't you get on with them then?" I asked.
"Ollie getting on with his parents is like me being straight, it's never going to happen." Alex said as he joined to conversation.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I said and Ollie chuckled.
"Doesn't bother me. My older sister was the same so I live with her now." Ollie said.
"Not before you lived with me for 4 months." Alex said and Ollie chuckled.
"They was some good times." Ollie said and Alex smiled and nodded.
"What about your parents?" Ollie asked and looked at me.
"Oh, my parents dumped me with my nan when I was little so I live with my nan." I said and looked down and Alex hand found its way to my knee where he gave it a supportive squeeze.
I looked at Alex and smiled.

Alex's phone went off and he looked round and answered it.
"I can't speak for long Alaska what's up?" Alex asked quietly and looked round the room.
"Give me a hour and I'll be there okay. Just don't panic." Alex said.
"Yeah, love you too." Alex said and hung up on Alaska and head butted the table.
"What's up with Alaska?" I asked.
"I have no idea but I need to go and see what's up." Alex said and I looked at him.
"Thinks it's best I've I just go okay. Alaska is pretty emotional at the moment, I should be back by the end of the day to drop the other off and go round yours." Alex said and pecked my lips quickly and got up and walked out the room.
I sighed and looked down.
"Alex and Alaska have always been close, but they've gotten closer since Charlie got killed 4 years ago." Ollie said and looked down.
"So have they always been popular in their year group then?" I asked.
"God yeah, everyone knows the Gaskarths. Their dad is the football coach for the team." Ollie said.
"Explains all the kids." I said and Ollie chuckled.
"Charlie was a really big football player and he even got a scholarship for it, but then the accident happened and it really hit all of them. But Asher and Freddie are really good at football and I can see them following in Charlie's footsteps." Ollie said.
"Where has Alex gone?" He teacher asked.
"Something happened at home and he need to be at home." I said and the teacher nodded and walked off.
"Glad you had Alex's back on that one." Ollie said quietly.
"I've always got his back." I said and got back to doing my work.
