Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way

Chapter Five

Mila Munroe's POV

After returning to my own tour bus, I had taken a quick shower and changed into a pair of plaid sleep shorts and a black tank top. I had just been getting ready to go to sleep when a loud banging started on the door of the bus.

Who the hell was banging on the door like that? Making my way over to the door, I pulled it open. Before I could even see who it was, a hand came flying at my face, colliding with my cheek and making a loud smack noise.

“What the fuck!?” I exclaimed as my hand flew up to my cheek, which was now stinging from the intensity of the slap. “You fucking bitch!” I heard the voice of a girl I didn't recognize, and then I was being pulled off of the bus and shoved to the ground.

I looked up to see Alex's girlfriend standing over me. “What the hell is your problem!?” I snapped, standing up and shoving her backwards. She stumbled a bit, nearly falling over. She regained her balance and glared at me.

“You stole my boyfriend, you slut!” She screamed, shoving me back. “What the fuck are you talking about?” I literally had no idea what she was talking about, but if this bitch put her hands on me one more time, I was going to kick her ass.

She shoved me again, and that was the last straw. I reached my hand back and slammed my fist into her face. She fell backwards, landing on her ass as she clutched her nose. “You bitch!” She shrieked, using her legs to trip me.

When I fell, she climbed on top of me and grabbed two fistfulls of my hair and began to pull them. “Get off of me, you crazy bitch!” I growled, flipping us over and slapping her. I had become well aware of the crowd of people who had gathered around us, but I didn't care.

Suddenly, I felt a pair of arms slide around my waist, pulling me off of Lisa. I didn't see who had pulled me away, but Zack Merrick was holding Lisa back. She thrashed in his arms, struggling to break free to get at me again.

Zack held tightly, though, and because she couldn't break free, she spit in my direction. How ladylike. I broke free from whoever was holding me back's grip and tackled Lisa to the ground again. We rolled around in the dirt, throwing fists until we were pulled apart again.

I realized that it was Alex who was holding me back. I wriggled free of his grip and turned to face him. “Alex, what the fuck is going on? Why the hell did your girlfriend come to my bus and fucking attack me?” I snapped. I was furious.

“Ex-girlfriend.” He muttered quietly, avoiding my gaze. “Alex, you didn't.” I shook my head in anger and annoyance. “Alex, I told you that I wasn't going to be the reason your relationship ended, and what did you do? You went and ended it anyway, and look where it got us.” I spat.

“She went psycho and fucking attacked me because of you. I told you that we wouldn't work, Alex. Why couldn't you have just listened to me? Now look what you've done. Don't even fucking come near me, okay? I'm done with this bullshit.” I snapped, stepping back onto the bus.

“Mila, what happened? I came as soon as I could.” Emersyn's tone was frantic as she raced onto the bus. “What the hell happened with you and Lisa?” I sighed heavily. “I honestly don't even freaking now.” I sighed heavily.

“I was getting ready for bed, and then all of a sudden, she comes banging on the damn door like she's the freaking police. Literally the second I opened the door, she slapped me and yanked me off the bus, screaming at me about 'stealing her boyfriend'.”

“Why would she think that you were trying to steal Alex from her?” Emersyn asked as she sat beside me on the couch in the lounge. “Alex and I went to lunch earlier, as friends. When we left, he...he kissed me.” I admitted, much to Emersyn's surprise.

“I slapped him and I left. He got my number-from you, thank you very much-and asked if we could talk. I agreed, and he confessed that he was still in love with me. I told him that it wouldn't work, because he had a girlfriend, and I wasn't breaking up their relationship.” I said.

“I guess he didn't care, or maybe he misunderstood, but he went and broke up with her, and I don't know what he told her, but she came after me.” Emersyn shook her head. “I can't believe this. Lisa was always so sweet. I can't believe she attacked you.”

“It wasn't one-sided. I got a few punches in before the guys broke us apart. I gave her a bloody nose.” I said with a slight smirk. “That's what she gets for attacking me.” Emersyn giggled a little. “Glad to see you're the same as you were in high school.”

“Hey, anyone I fought in high school deserved it. My daddy taught me that ladies don't start fights, but they damn sure finish them. I've never swung first.” I said proudly. “What is happening with Lisa?” I asked. “Well, she was packing her things when I left the bus.” She said.

“Good riddance to the bitch.” I shook my head. I still couldn't believe what had just happened. One minute I was getting ready to go to sleep, and the next, I was rolling around in the dirt fist fighting with my ex-boyfriend's girlfriend.

“How do you feel about Alex?” Emersyn asked. “I mean, do you still...love him?” I sighed heavily. “I don't know, Em. You know, I thought I was done with this shit, but...I don't know. Something keeps pulling me back to him.”

“It's love, Mila. You love him.” I groaned loudly. “I know, but that doesn't mean I want to! Look what loving him got me? Attacked by some psycho wearing way too much pink.” Emersyn laughed. “Well, nobody ever said love was easy.” “Loving Alex Gaskarth certainly isn't easy.”
