Paint You Wings
Chapter Twelve
I smiled at myself in the mirror, finally happy with my appearance for once. I clipped my fringe back then quickly braided my hair into a fishtail plait. I adjusted my denim jacket then slipped on my light brown sandals. It was a warmish day and my first 'official' date with Alex, I'd been trying to get where we were going out of him all day but he just wasn't budging it was a 'surprise' and Alex knew how much I hated surprises, even good ones.
I applied some candyfloss lipgloss generously to my lips then shoved it into my purse then walking quickly downstairs too see Jack standing with Alex with his arm around his shoulder. I coughed quietly so they knew that I was there, Alex turned around a grin reaching each sides of his face. He took a step forward too me holding out his hand. I took his hand our fingers interlocking together, I took in Alex's appearance he was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans with some converse and a white top, I was confused at how he could wear such simple clothing but make it still look so good.
"You look beautiful." Alex stated his lips pursed.
"Thankyou, you don't look so bad yourself." I replied in an attempt too flirt.
"Be back by eleven and you better treat her like a princess." Jack said smiling at us both.
Alex pulled me too his side, wrapping his arm around my waist and placing a gentle kiss on the top of my head making me blush.
"You know I will, I'll treat her exactly how she deserves." Alex said grinning.
"I know you will Gaskarth or else you'll have too deal with me." Jack joked flexing his non existent muscles.
A laugh escaped my lips as I buried my face in Alex's chest.
"Oh I'm so scared." Alex said sarcastically.
"You better be, anyway aren't your reservations at seven?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, which means we should go." Alex said taking my hand again and leading me too the front door. Jack waved goodbye as we walked out the front door to Alex's black range rover.
Alex walked me round to the passengers side of the car, opening the door and shutting it once I was inside like a real gentlemen. He ran round to the other side of the car climbing in and turning on the engine. The car journey to the restaurant which was only fifteen minutes away was filled with my awful singing along too the radio, I wasn't the best singer and I could admit that but singing was something I enjoyed a lot, music was like a drug too me.
Once we pulled up outside the Italian looking restaurant Alex rushed out of the car and came to my side opening the door and letting me out. I couldn't help but smile he was being too cute. He held out his hand for me again which I gladly accepted and we went inside the restaurant hand in hand. We walked up too the waitress how glared at me disapprovingly. What the hell...
"I have a table for two booked under the name Gaskarth." Alex informed her.
"I know who you are, I'm a huge fan!" She squealed.
So that explains why she was glaring at me... We followed her closely behind then she showed us to our table. Alex pulled out my chair for me and when I sat down he pushed it in then went and sat on the seat opposite too me. The waitress handed us a menu each then walked away. I opened up the menu my eyes scanning the hundreds of different options of food. I still felt uncomfortable eating in front of people but I was going to do my best since this obviously wasn't a cheap restaurant and Alex was making a huge effort.
There was a comfortable silence whilst we both choose what we wanted too eat. The waitress came a few minutes later with a pen and paper in her hand.
"Are you ready too order?" She asked politely.
"Yeah we are, can I have a steak and chips with a beer please." Alex said.
She nodded her head scribbling it down on the paper then looking up at me waiting for my answer.
"The linguine pasta with the person sauce and a diet coke please." I said shooting her a smile.
She wrote down my order then took both of the menu's walking away again.
"You could have had some wine or something y'know." Alex said smiling at me.
"I'm only nineteen remember, I prefer diet coke anyway."
"Sometimes I forget that you're only nineteen, you're more mature than Jack and he's twenty-four."
Me and Alex kept up constant talk right up until our food came, the large plate of pasta was placed in front of me, there was no way I was going to be able to finish that.
"It's okay, there's a lot there you don't have too eat it all." Alex said sensing my worry as he started to cut into his steak.
I thanked him silently, wrapping the linguine around my fork a few times and shoving it into my mouth, I couldn't lie this tasted so good. I looked over at Alex who seemed to be enjoying his meal looking more interested in the food than he was in me. I small laugh escaped from my mouth and Alex looked up at me confused.
"What?" He asked with a mouthful of food.
"Nothing, you just look so cute." I said unable to get the smile off of my face.
"I love your smile." Alex said.
"I love you." I said back.
"I love you more." Alex said shoving a load of chips into his mouth.
"Attractive." I muttered.
I hit my limit when I was half way through the pasta, officially fit too burst. A few minutes later Alex finished his food, the plate cleared. The waitress came over again as soon as Alex's knife and fork was down and cleared our plates, I must admit they had pretty good service here. A few minutes later and she was back asking us if we wanted a dessert. Alex raised an eyebrow at me and I shook my head, I was already full enough and I couldn't help that in the back of my head I was counting the calories. I hadn't eaten all day because I knew that I'd eat so much tonight, so I still had calories to spare but that didn't stop me being wary.
"Yeah please, we'll have an ice cream sundae too share." Alex informed her and she scribbled it down on her notepad and walked away.
"I'm full Alexxxx." I moaned dragging out the 'x'.
"C'mon gimmie a break here Georgia I'm trying to be all romantic by sharing an ice-cream."
"Okay, okay. We can be that cute couple who shares ice-cream." I said.
"Good." Alex said winking.
The ice-cream came along with two spoons and we both tucked in before we knew it the whole thing was gone. After we had finished Alex called for the bill, it came too $80 which was a lot seeing as we hadn't even had that much. I tried to get Alex to let my pay at least half but apparently that all dates will be paid by him as that is what the man is meant too do and he has more than enough money for it. Once the bill was paid for we left the restaurant hand in hand again, getting into Alex's car.
The drive back was filled with Alex's amazing singing and my awful, awful singing. Once we got back to my house, Alex walked me too the front door waiting outside as I shoved my keys into the front door opening it up. I turned back to Alex confused as to why he wasn't coming in.
"I wanna do this right and since this is only our 'first date' I can't stay here tonight." Alex said softly.
A frown overtook my face as I took a step back outside too him. He wrapped both of his arms around my waist pulling me closer too him before leaning down and pressing a kiss too my lips. I kissed him back, the kiss deepening as my hands got caught up in his hair pulling him even closer too me. After a few minutes we both broke away breathless.
"I had a really good night tonight." Alex said trying to regain his breath.
"So did I, my most favourite date I've ever been on with the most perfect guy I've ever met." I said smiling up at him as he still held me tightly.
"You're perfect, tonight's been perfect. I love you so much." Alex said pressing his lips too mine once again.
I smiled into the kiss his words never leaving my mind. I pulled away, touching my swollen lips. "I love you." I said honestly.
"See you tomorrow for our next date, I'll pick you up around half one." Alex placed a final kiss on my lips and walked away too his car getting in. I watched the car drive away, smiling to myself. I went inside the house shutting the front door behind me and leaning against the wall. I was never going to forget this night.

Hmm, so I just stumbled across this and I'm sad to see it was never finished. I've read what you have so far and I just wanted to leave a comment letting you know I think you're a great writer. :)
If you ever choose to finish this, I will be here to read, because I think it's a great story. I really think it deserves an ending. :') Georgia and Alex have been through a lot; I think they deserve a happy ending, but that's just me. :P
