I Was Doing Just Fine Before I Met You.

"Don't you want to have some fun before you're back to having homework and school to worry about?"

I blinked, feeling hazy as my eyes fought to focus through the dark room around me. My heart pounded painfully in my chest and I couldn’t hear anything other than loud ringing in my ears as the blurred black and white screen steadied in front of my eyes. Breathing in and out through my mouth, I calmed down and focused on the wand pressing all around my belly. Shaking my head, I barely listened to Dr. Maurine list off different body parts and found my eyes shooting over to where my Mom sat on the side of the room.

“And there we have it, two healthy babies.” She chirped as a white hand towel dangled in front of my face.

I stared at it, slowly taking it from her grasp and leaning up on my elbow while my eyes fought to adjust to the light taking over the darkness. I wiped over my stomach carefully, pushing myself more onto my butt while Dr. Maurine slipped from the room quietly and once again shot my eyes to my mom’s. My heart leapt into my throat at the wetness growing and before I could speak, she was excusing herself from the room to grab me a water bottle.

“Um,” Alex stammered, reluctantly meeting my eyes. “are you okay?”

“I don’t know.” I whispered, wiping the side of my stomach and dropping the towel to pull my leggings back up. “Are you?”

“I dunno.” He mumbled, running his hands over his face and leaning back on his knees. “I’m, uh. Hm.”

“My mom’s crying.” I frowned, pulling my shirt down. “I know why she’s upset, but now there’s two of them Alex and I just don’t know.”

“I don’t fucking know either.” He snapped, tugging his beanie from his head and pulling at his hair. “This wouldn’t be fuckin’ happening if you let me take two seconds to find a fuckin’ rubber.”

“You didn’t have to go for it, you could’ve made me wait.” I shot back, raising my voice. “It’s not all my fault. You should’ve pulled out. You don’t know where I’ve been.”

“Clearly not around.” He scoffed, biting his lip. “Fuck.”

“What is that supposed to mean?” I scowled, crossing my arms over my chest.

“It means you’re the tightest ass I ever fucked.” He answered plainly, pushing his hands over his face a second time. “S’whatever. We got that thing on uh, Friday or something. Right?”

I flushed, suddenly thankful for my mom and Dr. Maurine’s absence. Swinging my legs lightly, I dropped my hands down over my stomach and nodded with a sigh.

“Our appointment is next Tuesday.” I confirmed quietly, tracing my thumbs over the smooth material of my t-shirt. “You have to be there.”

“I’m gonna show.” He scoffed, leaning back in the plastic chair. “The sooner we get this shit over with the better, right?”

“Um.” I stuttered, taken aback by his hard tone. “Right. Yeah.”

I jumped, watching through wide eyes as he shot up from the seat. He pulled his beanie back over his head and dangled his lanyard from his fingers, shaking his keys free from his pocket. Clearing his throat, he wiped under his nose and licked his lips while he avoided looking anywhere near me or my direction in general.

“I mean two of ‘em don’t make no difference, still passin’ them off.” He shrugged, inching towards the door. “I’m not stickin’ around to watch you piss in a cup, so. Peace.”

I stared at the door, listening to it click shut right after he disappeared behind it. Blinking slowly, my mind stopped buzzing and everything really set in. Nervous flips took place in my gut and I couldn’t stop the tears from pooling in the corners of my eyes as I sat still in this empty room. Covering my mouth, I compressed my whimpers and closed my eyes tightly while Alex’s words repeated in my mind.

Two of ‘em don’t make no difference, still passin’ them off.

It made me feel sick and guilty, like this will be easy. I thought this was going to be a piece of cake that day I found out about being pregnant, but now I’m not so sure and it scares me. There’s two human beings growing inside of me that I helped create. Two human beings that are going to be so dependent and need so much time and care that I’m not ready for. I don’t want to lose sleep, I don’t want to be a dropout or a failure, I don’t want to depend on my parents forever, I don’t want to miss out on everything my friends are going to be doing and nothing has made me feel more selfish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Habibi.”

I grunted, squinting my eyes as soon as the bright light from the hallway seeping into my dark room. I rolled over, forcing myself to stay on my side once I remembered that I’m no longer allowed to sleep on my stomach. Huffing, I yanked my comforter over my head and sighed in content once the blackness took over my eyes again.

“Jack, honey.” Mom called again, sounding closer as her footsteps creaked across my room.

I laid silently, staring into the dark grey patch of my blanket that’s only visible because of strip of light from outside of my room. I gasped, feeling my hair fly back from the gush of wind as the blanket was pulled back down to my hips. I scowled, blinking up at my mom while she crossed her arms.

“You need to get up.” She told, shaking her head. “You can’t spend the week in your bed.”

“I was up.” I defended, rolling my eyes.

“Three days ago, for Thanksgiving.” She scoffed. “And I don’t think you would’ve gotten up if daddy wouldn’t have dragged you.”

“Dr. Maurine said I would be tired.” I reminded, rolling back over onto my back.

“Well being tired is different than being depressed and you’re worrying me.” She frowned, sitting down beside me and brushing my long bangs back. “I’ve been hearing your phone go off over and over again the past few days and I really think you should answer them. They’re your friends, Jack.”

“I don’t want to hangout, Mom.” I sighed, pushing my head back into my pillow. “I won’t even fit in Cassadee’s bed with her anymore.”

“Jack.” She tsked, combing her fingers through my hair again before letting her palm rest over my stomach. “Is this because of the growth spurt? Your two days away from being fifteen weeks pregnant with twins, baby.”

“S’not that.” I mumbled, staring down at how the rounding of my belly propped her hand up. “I just don’t feel like it.”

“Don’t you want to have some fun before you’re back to having homework and school to worry about?” She asked curiously, running soothing circles into my warm skin where my t-shirt rode up.

“No.” I answered honestly, crossing my legs underneath my blanket. “I’m just not in the mood.”

“Okay.” She sighed in defeat, leaning down to kiss my forehead. “Daddy’s getting pizza for dinner.”

“Ugh.” I groaned, just the thought of greasy cheese and pepperoni making me sick. “Pass.”

“I’ll cut you up some fruit.” She chuckled, patting my side twice before getting up. “Get your little butt out of bed now.”

I rolled my eyes again, propping myself up on my elbow to humor her while she backed herself back out of my room. Once she stepped into the hallway, she turned and made her way back down the steps without closing my door. I groaned, dropping back down and running my hands over my face in annoyance. Throwing my blanket over my legs, I forced myself to sit up and pushed my legs over the side of my bed. Blinking the sleep from my eyes, I tugged my shirt down and felt it immediately pop back up due to the growth protruding between my hips. I heaved a sigh, swiping my phone from my nightstand and standing to my feet. I shoved my phone into the pocket of my pj pants and tugged the waistband back up my hips.

“Ugh.” I groaned again, a familiar pressure on my bladder leading me into my bathroom.

Once I was finished, I washed my hands and looked at myself in the wide mirror. Light bags made an appearance underneath my tired eyes while my hair stuck up in every direction. Slumping my shoulders, I attempted to pat my hair down the best I could before my eyes trailed down the plain white t-shirt over my chest. My hips and some of my sides were exposed and no matter how many times I covered them up, baby number one and two knocked it right back up. Rolling my eyes, I waved it off and stormed out of the bathroom and straight into the hall. I rubbed at my eye, using my free hand to press into the wall until I reached the railing. The smell of cheese and grease immediately filled my nose as soon as I stepped into the foyer and a wave of sickness washed over me, making me regret not curling back into a ball in my comforting bed.

The annoying ding of my text tone filled my ears, knocking me out of my misery briefly as I stepped into the kitchen. Pulling my phone free, I hopped up onto the closest stool around the island and rested my forearms over the countertop. The ding filled my ears again, immediately lighting up my screen and previewing at least twenty missed texts from the group chat. Rolling my lips, I unlocked my phone and waited patiently for everything to load. Once it did, messages about the annual sleepover at Cass’s filled my vision along with questions about if I’m okay and why Parker’s acting like a douche. A pang of guilt ran through me at the worried words between Cass and Lynn, but my fingers felt frozen. Licking my lips, I forced my thumbs to send an easy I’m okay text before I set it face down over the counter.

“Here you go.” Mom said, sliding a bowl of fruit salad in front of me.

I picked out a grape and popped it into my mouth, chewing on it slowly even though my stomach didn’t feel hungry at all. Leaning my elbow on the hard surface of the counter, I rested my chin over my palm and tried not to grimace when my Dad came into my view with a plate of pizza.

“He doesn’t want that.” Mom warned, grabbing the plate from his hands before he could set it in front of me. “It’ll make him sick.”

“You love pizza.” He protested, pouting down at me.

“Not today.” I grumbled, pulling another grape into my mouth.

“More for me then.” He joked, disappearing from my view as he went back to the table.

I shook my head, popping a small square on cantaloupe into my mouth when something black caught my eyes. I flickered my gaze to the fridge, finding the culprit right away when my eyes fell onto the black and white square stuck right in the center beside the handle. I swallowed thickly, averting my gaze towards my bowl while my stomach flipped.

“Why is that on the fridge?” I asked softly, picking at a melon piece wedged between two grapes.

“Because we wanted it there.” Mom responded knowingly, clearing her throat.

I sighed, choosing to keep my mouth closed about it instead of speak my mind. Finally picking the melon from the bowl, I popped it into my mouth and hummed when my phone dinged twice in a row.

“I told you to answer your friends.” Mom scolded.

“I did.” I replied, slowly picking my phone back up.

I avoided looking at the screen for a few seconds, taking in the tall glass of juice my mom was sliding towards me instead. I smiled in thanks, taking a small sip before the dinging rang through the kitchen again. Placing my cup beside my bowl, I unlocked the screen and stared down as the group chat updated before my eyes. I furrowed my eyebrows when no new messages appeared, lifting my eyes to the left corner to see the number two in parenthesis beside the arrow that leads me back into my list of conversations. Biting my lip, I pressed on the arrow and felt my eyes widen in surprise when my brain registered the face behind the nickname.

I blinked, staring at the screen while my mind blanked. Pressing my lips together, I fidgeted my thumbs but struggled to actually hit the keyboard. Hard vibrations shot through my hands and up my elbows, nearly shocking me out of my chair while my wide eyes took in the incoming call. I slipped off of my stool, ignoring everything around me as I rushed out of the kitchen and towards the steps.

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.” I chanted quietly, not knowing what to do while the screen continued to flash.

Sitting on the steps, I peeked around the railing and found my parents still in the kitchen doing whatever. Biting my lip, I slid my finger across the bottom of the screen quickly and felt my heart leap into my throat before I even pressed the phone to my ear.

“Um,” I answered, smacking myself in the forehead. “hello?”

“So?” Alex replied.

“So…what?” I asked, blushing at how hard my heart pounded in my throat.

“What are you doing right now?” He questioned impatiently. “Are you at your house?”

“Why?” I wondered, holding my hand over my chest.

“I’m in your driveway.” He answered.

I froze in my place even more, feeling my heart stop painfully while my ears buzzed.

“What?” I choked out, moving my hand to cover my mouth.

“Are you fuckin’ deaf?” He sighed, the faint sound of music in the background. “I’m here, come outside.”

I gawked, pulling the phone away from my ear when it grew silent to find call ended flashing across the screen until it faded back into the picture of Cass and I that she set for my background. Blinking slowly, the fact that Alex is outside sitting in my driveway set in and I jumped up from the steps. I hurried up the staircase, panting as I sped into my room and over to my closet. Butterflies erupted in my stomach and I cursed myself in my head for feeling this anxious and excited for him. Shaking my head, I yanked out a red t-shirt and quickly replaced my pj shirt with it. Biting my lip, I scanned the floor of my room until I found the black leggings I wore the other day because I really don’t feel like trying to get into jeans. Kicking my pants off, I pulled the waistband of my short boxers up and snatched the leggings from the ground, gasping when bending down felt a lot harder than it did a few days ago. Shaking the thought from my head, I carefully hopped into the leggings and let them snap into my hips before I grabbed my grey beanie and phone from the ground beside my pj pants.

“Jack?” Mom called questioningly.

I bit my lip, hurrying out of my room and down the hall. I turned down the steps and watched her face light up as soon as I grew closer.

“You’re going out?” She grinned.

“Oh, um.” I stammered, biting my lip. “I guess.”

“Oh good.” She smiled in relief, holding out my jacket. “It’ll be good for you. Have Parker bring you back by ten, okay?”

“Okay.” I agreed, contemplating on correcting her.

I decided against it and took my jacket, easily slipping it on. I pulled the zipper up, frowning at the slight struggle as it moved over the bump. Rolling my eyes, I slipped my bare feet into my moccasins and stuffed my phone into my pocket just as it dinged again.

“Be careful.” She ordered, kissing my head once I slipped my beanie on. “Love you.”

“Love you too.” I smiled, swallowing my nerves as I opened the front door.

I slipped outside and closed the door behind me, shuddering right away when the cold air smacked into me. Shoving my hands into my pockets to avoid frostbite, I hurried off of the porch and tried not to focus on the fact that I’m almost waddling down the driveway. Watching my breath cloud in front of my face, I blamed my burning cheeks on the cold weather and pulled the door of the beloved pickup truck in front of me open. Pulling myself up and inside, music I didn’t recognize met my ears and I pulled the door shut loudly.

“Took you long enough.” Alex greeted, reversing out of the driveway before I could even buckle myself in.

I gulped, not hearing the click of my seatbelt due to the music. Watching the trees begin to move, I looked over to Alex and bit my lip. His messy hair was covered with a black snapback and he was back to his attire of a plain hoodie and some joggers, but his body jewelry was still all black which was undeniably attractive.

“Where are we going?” I asked, hoping he heard me over the heavy music.

My ringing ears calmed down considerably once he twisted the radio knob, the music quieting down to a reasonable level while he turned onto the main road.

“Huh?” He asked, glancing over at me.

“Where are we going?” I asked again, pressing my knees together.

“You like ice cream?” He questioned, stopping at the red light.

“Is that even a question?” I giggled, covering my mouth in embarrassment while he just shrugged his shoulders.

“S’where I’m takin’ you then.” He answered, turning once the light turned. “To get ice cream.”

“Why?” I pressed, feeling a lot more anxious the longer we drove.

“Just because.” He responded, turning the music up loud enough to keep me from asking anything else.

I rolled my lips together and looked out my window to busy myself. The butterflies in my stomach were doing anything but lightening up and I could still feel my heart in my throat as we sat in silence. So many questions filled my mind and I really couldn’t think of why I agreed to this when the last thing I wanted to do was spend time with anyone, let alone this asshole. Leaning back in the seat, I watched Trixie’s Treats come into my vision and felt my stomach rumble in want. He pulled into the crowded parking lot and around until he was stopping along the sidewalk in front of the door. I bit my lip, looking over at him when the music turned down again.

“Wait inside and I’ll park.” He stated, unclicking my seatbelt for me.

“Oh.” I muttered, nodding slowly. “Okay.”

I held my breath and pushed my door open, quickly slipping out and shutting it behind me. Once I took the five steps to the entrance, I heard the truck drive off and let out a groan as I stepped inside the warm building. Dozens of smells filled my nose, making my tummy rumble louder than before. I blushed harder, cursing myself for getting embarrassed so easily and pressing my cold hands over the hot skin.

“Can I get you anything, sweetheart?”

I looked across the small building, immediately locking eyes with a boy behind the counter taller than me but not as tall as Alex. He leaned over beside his register, twisting the baby blue hat over his head before his green eyes sent me a wink.

“Um, I’m just waiting for someone.” I answered awkwardly, crossing my arms over my chest.

“Alright, well, let me know.” He nodded, turning his back to me.

I sighed, not fighting the warmth rushing back into my cheeks while I stood to the side of the door. Tapping my cold fingers along my elbows, I took in the ty-dyed walls and purple couches lined along the walls before my eyes trailed over multiple orange tables filled with people throughout the small place. Licking my lips, I looked to the right side of the store and found a long counter with varieties of sweets along with a whole set up of flavors along the wall. A loud bell rang above my head, making me jump out of my skin only to hear Alex chuckling beside me.

“C’mon.” He told, pushing his hand into my lower back.

I shivered, allowing him to lead me over towards the goody filled side. I stopped with him beside a small baby blue table, watching him grab a bright pink cardboard bowl and pass it over to me. I took it, watching him take the same size before he was nudging me over to the flavor wall.

“Lot of choices.” He noted, clicking his tongue. “Get any kinds you want.”

“Okay.” I said quietly, watching him pull the lever with Cookie Dough taped above it.

Scanning the wall, I stepped four levers to his left and held my cup underneath. I pulled the lever slowly and watched the white cream fill my cup until it was almost all the way to the top. Letting go, it stopped spilling out and I turned around to find Alex. I jumped, holding a hand over my heart when I found him right behind me.

“Vanilla? That’s it?” He asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Maybe some of that stuff.” I shrugged, motioning towards the long counter lined up with the sweets.

“Go for it.” He chuckled, following me over.

I bit my lip, my mouth watering at the tub of cherries and gummy bears right next to each other. Smiling, I scooped a spoonful of each into my bowl before topping it all off with some sprinkles.

“You good?” Alex questioned once I took a step back.

“Mhm.” I hummed, biting my lip when his hand returned to my back.

I clutched the sides of my bowl and walked up to the register. I set my bowl down and tugged at the pockets of my jacket, suddenly self-conscious with all of these strangers around. Biting my cheek, I watched Alex put his next to mine and pull his black wallet out in front of us.

“This together?”

I looked up, flushing once I met the same green eyes as before.

“You got two fuckin’ eyes?” Alex retorted sarcastically, making my eyes widen.

The cashier rolled his eyes obnoxiously, pulling the ten-dollar bill from Alex’s fingers without another word. He grabbed a few dollars and some change, sliding it back across the counter and ripping the receipt out rather roughly.

“Two dollars and nineteen cents are your change.” He stated, trailing his eyes over me as he plopped the receipt over the dollars.

Alex grabbed my bowl and held it out to me before scooping the change into his pocket and grabbing his own. I turned my back, uncomfortable with the way the cashier kept his eyes on me, and walked towards an empty table with Alex behind me. Sitting down, I made sure to keep my back facing the front counter and smiled when Alex shoved a spoon into my bowl.

“Thank you.” I told, biting my lip while he plopped down loudly in front of me.

“Yeah.” He shrugged, scooping a spoonful of his chocolate and cookie dough mix into his mouth.

I grabbed my spoon and scooped a small bite into my own mouth, moaning once the pure favors melted right into my tongue.

“This isn’t ice cream.” I noticed, taking another small bite of the thick yogurt.

“I’m lactose intolerant.” He reasoned, licking his spoon clean.

“I don’t think you should be eating frozen yogurt if you’re lactose intolerant.” I pointed out, swallowing another mouthful.

“S’all good.” He shrugged. “This kind doesn’t give me the shits.”

“That’s good.” I grimaced, giggling a bit as I bit into a juicy cherry.

I chewed slowly, the butterflies coming back full force when I watched him hold back a smile. Swallowing, I twirled my spoon around my bowl a few times and listened to the chatting happening all around us. Licking my lips, I gave into my craving and let myself eat more of the sweet dessert freely. Minutes passed with us just stuffing our faces, making me roll my eyes and lean my elbows onto the table.

“Why am I here, Alex?” I asked, staring into the gummy bears splattered with sprinkles along the bottom of my bowl.

He heaved a sigh, lifting my gaze to find him staring into his half-empty bowl with furrowed eyebrows. I pressed my lips together softly, quickly growing impatient with his silence.

“You got me for a reason.” I pressed, crossing my right knee over my leg under the table. “You brought me here for a reason.”

“I uh,” He started, scratching the side of his neck. “I wanted to see how you are.”

I blinked, taking a final bite of my frozen yogurt while I let his words sink into my head. Swallowing thickly, I popped a gummy bear into my mouth and sucked on it for a few seconds before finally looking to his face again.

“What?” I asked, raising my eyebrows. “Why?”

“Because I left you in that doctor’s office looking like you were gonna cry and I feel real shitty about it, alright?” He responded, sliding his bowl to the center of the table.

“Okay.” I mumbled, staring into his bloodshot eyes.

“You ready to get outta here?” He asked, twirling his keys.

I nodded my head, sliding out of my seat and grabbing my bowl. I stepped over to the garbage and dumped my trash inside, watching Alex do the same before I was pushing the door open.

“Uh, you should wait.” He started, stopping once I stepped out with him.

“It’s fine.” I denied, shaking my head at his offer. “I can walk.”

“Okay.” He shrugged, leading the way across the parking lot.

I tucked my cold hands back into my pockets, attempting to breath hot air under my nose while I rushed across the wide parking lot and over to his truck. Wincing, I pressed my hand into my back and pulled the door open slowly. Climbing up, I shut the door and heaved a long sigh. Alex got in beside me, immediately turning the car on and twisting the heat on full blast.

“I wanted to talk.” He blurted, turning the radio off. “Um, that’s why I got you.”

“About what?” I wondered, rubbing my hands together.

“What the fuck do you think?” He snapped, rubbing his hands over his face once he saw my wide eyes. “Fuck. I’m sorry.”

“You want to talk about the,” I paused, hesitating while he tensed up. “the babies?”

“Yeah.” He mumbled, staring down at his fingers once they dropped into his lap. “I uh, I don’t want you to feel like. Shit. I don’t. I’m not good at this.”

“Hey, it’s okay.” I called, twisting on my side of the bench to face him better. “Not good at what?”

“Talking.” He answered bluntly, flickering his gaze to mine. “About this. About feelings.”

“What feelings are you trying to talk about?” I asked softly, my heart thudding out of my chest.

“I just.” He struggled, knocking the hat from his head and tugging at his hair.

“Alex.” I called, reaching forward and grabbing his wrist. “Hey, it’s okay. It’s only me you’re talking to.”

“That doesn’t make it easier.” He laughed humorlessly, dropping his hands back to his lap. “I just want you to do what you want to do.”

“What I want to do?” I repeated, bringing my hands back to my own lap.

“The thing. The abortion. Whatever.” He rambled, shaking his head. “I don’t want you to feel pressured because my dad’s a dick and talks so much shit about it. I’m fucking capable of paying child support if you want to keep it-them or whatever. I just wanted you to know that, okay? S’your choice, not anybody else’s.”

“It’s your choice too.” I whispered, feeling the corners of my eyes wet at the seriousness in his words.

“I fucked up.” He stated firmly, shaking his head at me. “I gave you this life and I’m fucking sorry, Jack. I really fucking am. You don’t have to decide right now or tomorrow or next week, but the decision is yours.”

I covered my mouth, an overwhelming feeling washing over me as his words imprinted in the back of my brain. Sniffling, I wiped at my eyes before any tears could fall and reached my hands forward. Butterflies roared through my stomach and before I could actually stop and think, I was pulling his neck until his soft lips pressed into mine. I gasped, pulling away just as quick while my cheeks flamed. Sitting back against the door, I squeezed my eyes closed and covered my face only to feel thin fingers wrap around my wrists. I peeked my eyes open and let my wrists drop a lot easier when I took in the way he leaned down towards me.

Pressing back against the door, I sucked in a sharp breath and closed my eyes when his lips met mine in a more heated kiss. I slipped my hands up the back of his neck, a sense of Deja-vu hitting my when his hands slipped up my thighs. I hummed, giving his tongue entry into my mouth while his hands slid up my chest and yanked my zipper down. I gasped, pulling away and grabbing his shoulders when the cool air slipped underneath my t-shirt. I pushed him away a little, shaking my head when he pulled my legs apart and biting at my hot lip.

“Don’t look at me.” I rushed out, unable to cover myself up with him so close. “I’m disgusting.”

I tried to catch my breath, reluctantly slipping my arms out of my jacket when he pulled it up from behind me. I dropped my hand to my stomach, attempting to pull the material down only for him to stop me and slip the shirt more up my sides. My head dropped back against the door, warmth spreading quickly through my gut while he sat back. I gasped, struggling to stay upright when he yanked me until I was straddling his lap. I blushed, standing on my knees while his hands ran over the lump taking over my stomach. Chuckling deeply, he pulled me down and bit at his lip ring before meeting my eyes.

“Does it feel like I’m disgusted?” He wisecracked, sliding his hands down to grope my ass.

“No.” I whispered, closing my eyes as his hardness dug into me.

“I think you should stay on top.” He muttered, pressing his face into my neck much like the last time we were in here.

I gasped, grinding down into him as he squeezed my ass harder. I bit my lip, raising my hands to slip through his soft hair while I nodded desperately. All of my dignity went out the window and I found myself putty in his hands the moment he pulled me into his lap.

“Are your windows tinted?” I breathed, lifting up enough for him to pull my pants down to my knees.

“Yeah.” He answered, leaning back against the back cushion. “You gonna ride me?”

“Do you have two eyes?” I retorted, unable to keep the smile from my face when he laughed.

“Whatever, I wanna see how you work these fine hips.” He smirked, pulling the beanie from my head. “And make it quick.”
