Prologue
I guess it's my fault really. I had every opportunity to walk away before I got hurt. All of the warning signs were there, yet, like the idiot that I am, I ignored them. Now look at me. I genuinely believed that Alex was the one person who would never do me any harm but instead he left me bleeding in the street, still hoping that he would open the door and save me like he'd done so many times before. I want to blame Jack, well I want to blame anyone other than Alex really because my stupid brain still loves him, but Jack is the one the I want to pin the blame on because after all, he is the one who drove me straight into Alex... but he's also the one who helped me get away from him. No, I can't blame Jack. It was Alex. It was always Alex.

I saw your other comment and came here. Yay, I'm so glad you're writing again! I can understand wanting to rewrite it, it has been a minute since you posted the series.
I'm a little fuzzy on all of the events in the last edition, but I don't think what you wrote in this prologue happened before? Or maybe I'm just not remembering? But regardless, you have me hooked already, wondering what happened. Why did Alex leave her? Like whattt...
I guess it's good you are rewriting it, though, I've kind of forgotten a lot of it since I tend to read a lot and just, my college brain as of late hasn't been the best, lol. Due to lack of sleep.
But yes, I will be here to read. I may just reflect on this like a totally new story, just so you know, so sorry if I act oblivious to any factors you keep the same. I remember at least loving the other series, so I know I'll like it here as well. :)
