Alex's POV

I watched Lily stare aimlessly at the house from Sophie's car. She had gone into a day dream state. I strolled over and knocked on the car window. Her eyes lit up as she saw me. I wondered whether she'd been eyeing up anything in particular so I rushed round and got in the other side. All I could see was the ugly gutters that actually had broken twigs and fallen leaves stuffed in them. That needed sorting out...

"Yea. I see it now. The view of the gutters is beautiful in here." I chuckled.

"Sophie and I have come to the conclusion that your chest hair is sexy."

Even though my cheeks heated up a little, I smirked as she turned bright red herself, embarrassed by the words that fell out of her mouth she turned with wide-eyes. "Did I just say that out loud?"

"I can cut some off for you." I winked. "Dunno, maybe you could frame it too."

Lily's embarrassment faded as she giggled. "I can't believe I said that... No thanks, it's got to be on you to be sexy."

"I'm flattered." I smiled. "Now let's get away from this beautiful view and go inside."

"Yea your gutters are gross."

I laughed as we both climbed out of the car and went in. Lily began to head towards the living room when I grabbed her hand in mine and took her upstairs. I had planned something else.

"Alex..."

"I've got you something," I said, with her following behind. I stopped at my closed bedroom door. "Close your eyes."

She suspiciously stared at me before reluctantly closing her eyes. I opened the door and guided her in. I smiled. The room was exactly how I wanted it. The window was blacked out with a sheet to make it darker, my lamp was on the lowest setting with a candle flickering next to it. "Ok open them," I said with excitement.

Lily's eyes widened. "What's this for?"

I walked in front of her and held her hand. "I want to break down those walls, you've built around yourself from all the negative experiences. I've told everyone to stay away."

"It-it looks really romantic in here..." Her eyes glazed over.

I tightened my grip on her hand. "Lily, that's because I want to make it a special moment."

She shook her head. "I'm not-"

"You trust me, don't you?" I took her to sit down on the bed. Lily nodded and stared down at her lap. "Then you know I won't hurt you," I said calmly, which made her relax.

I pulled off my shirt, which she watched with intent. At this moment I wasn't sure how this would end as she stiffened and a small amount of panic flashed through her eyes. I chose to ignore it for now.

"Thought you'd like to see my chest hair," I winked in hope she'd calm down. Lily did, she let out a little giggle. I picked up her hand. "Touch me."

"Where?"

"Anywhere. It's up to you."

Lily glanced at my chest, her hands and back. I grinned at how thoughtful she seemed to be about this. I wasn't going to get her to do anything she didn't want to so I wasn't sure how far this would go. However, she was full of surprises.

She placed her palms on my chest and yanked them off, like she'd done something wrong. I placed them back and covered them with mine. I leaned closer, our lips met in a gentle kiss. Lily scooted closer, which made our kiss stronger. After a moment, we pulled away and I stood up, ushering her to do the same. She was quickly back in my arms. "Can you do something for me?" I asked, running my fingers through her hair.

"What?" Lily replied under her breath.

"Take this and put it on." I let her go, ran to grab a CD from my shelf and gave it to her. She opened the case and placed the disc in the stereo, pressing play. Lily stood there as the music started.

You there, with the big blue eyes. I'm lost, lost in you're blank stare.

She paused it and swung round full of excitement. "You recorded it?"

I nodded. "Yep."

"When did you find the time...I've been with-"

"The guys and Sophie helped."

Her eyes pooled up with tears. I rushed over and pulled her towards me.

"I-I don't deserve this Alex."

"Yes you do." I leaned over to pick up the small remote to press play again.

The nightmares swallow you up.

I was suddenly flooded with happiness when her mouth moved as she mumbled along to the song.

"I know," I began to sing, "how much it hurts."

I never thought l'd ever have a duet with myself. Yea I've obviously had our songs played back at shows through an ear piece but this was totally different.

"Time. These things take time to heal,"

My heart fluttered at the sound of Lily's singing. Her voice was beautiful. I stood there smiling from ear to ear. There she was with another surprise.

"so grab my hand and I'll guide you out of this dark tunnel of horror."

I pressed the pause button which earned me a playful harsh glare. "You-you sing?"

"You never asked if I could," she grinned.

I wrapped her up in my arms, she held me back tightly. "When you smile," I continued. "Light shines through those bright blue eyes."

"It's where I seem to find myself, more and more these days," she joined in again, her warm breath hitting my bare skin sent a shiver up my spine, it was such a magical moment.

"Lost, lost in the bright light." Lily glanced up, happiness filled her eyes as she sang along with me.

"So, grab those dark, horrifying images. Push. Push them away. Keep on smiling and I'll help you get away with the light from you're eyes."

Lily stepped out of my embrace and tore off her own top. I quickly glanced away. "What-what are you doing?"

"Breaking down my walls with you, remember?"

I slowly glanced back at her. "Y-you didn't have to do that." I felt heat rush to my cheeks as my view decided to wonder. Her pale skin made her bright pink bra stand out.

"Come on Alex-"

That was all I needed to step closer and shove my lips on hers. I pulled her close as our kiss deepened. Lily's fingers entwined with mine before she placed my hand over her heart, which was beating pretty fast.

"Push. Push them away..." she mumbled as we departed, as if she was reassuring herself. However, her eyes told me another story.

I took my jeans off. I smirked as Lily turned a little pink.

"Woah...Alex..."

I was just about to tell her we didn't have to go any further as she pulled down hers. My jaw dropped at how gorgeous she was. I couldn't believe that Lily was here, with me in her underwear. I was actually proud of her.

Before I knew it her arms flew around my waist. I placed mine tightly round hers. I leaned down, and whispered. You're stunning.

"Alex...can we lie down?"

I nodded and we made our way to the bed. I now had her head resting on my arm. "This doesn't need to go any further."

"I know," she said tracing circles round the rose tattoo on my hand with her index finger. "How come you never told me about him?" she continued.

"It's-it's just hard for me to talk about him."

She grinned. "Was he nice?"

"Yea...we were really close..."

Lily quickly climbed on top of me and just laid in-between my legs. She smiled, "thank you Alex..." she trailed off looking extremely thoughtful. "You've done a lot for me. I'm actually pretty overwhelmed by it all. Firstly my mum adores you, you know how hard it is to break through her barriers since Pete...she said that any other boys I took home will have to go through an audition-"

"Audition?" I raised my eyebrow.

Lily giggled. "Yea-well not exactly, more like an exam...she didn't do that with you, as soon as she heard your voice and called her ma'am that was it. I was actually scared for you."

I chuckled. "Lily you're mother is awesome. I love her too. I'll have to sign a picture for her too, hey?" I wrapped my arms around her waist, holding her tight.

She giggled. "Secondly, Sophie-"

That was it. I'd had enough. I gently flipped her over and shoved my lips on hers, her arms flew around my neck to deepen the kiss. I'd lost all track of time. The next thing I knew my eyes flung open. Lily was sleeping next to me. I began to slide out of bed to see my boxers and Lily's underwear on the floor. I glanced over at Lily still sound asleep so I quickly grabbed some pj pants to put on. My mind was actually quite foggy on the details of what had just happened.
