Work In Progress

"Don't be, he sounds like a mega loser."

Alex's POV

The tour had been amazing. All of the shows were stunning. Lily seemed to enjoy herself too. I expected her to get a little jealous or something over the fans excitedly shout out that they wanted to marry me or the sexual stuff that slipped out of their mouths at times but no, she was fine with it.

"It's ok Alex, I know it's because they find you just as sexy as I do."

Yes Lily had called me that. I don't know if the moment made her or not. However, It felt good to hear it from her instead of a fan.

I rolled over in bed. My eyes shot open as Lily wasn't there. I leapt out and ran towards the bedroom door. I swung it open and bumped right into her.

"Oh crap Alex!"

That's when I took in her appearance, she was just wrapped in a towel. Like a reflex my view went to her obvious cleavage. When I realised I hadn't spoken for quite awhile, I mentally slapped myself for acting like a total pervert. I really hoped she hadn't noticed. "S-so-sorry. I noticed you'd gone and-"

"I needed a shower." I watched as her cheeks grew pinker. I didn't understand why though. She only had a shower. "I didn't want to wake you."

"It's ok," I smiled and began to walk passed to get some coffee but she grabbed my arm.

"Is there blood on the sheets?" she lowered her voice. She seemed very ashamed of asking. All sorts of things about how there would be went through my mind. When It suddenly dawned on me that it was that time for her.

"Lily," I placed my hands on her shoulders. "I don't know. I didn't see, literally leapt out of the bed when you weren't there, but so what if there is. It's only blood, Right?"

Lily perked up at my words. "Well, it's a bit more than just blood but yea."

"Oh well, means I'm not going to get blamed for knocking you up...again." I smirked and kissed her cheek. "Get dressed, I'll get breakfast. To be honest I need to wash them soon."

Lily sighed with relief and began to shiver. I let her passed so she could go to put some clothes on. I walked back in to the room and glanced over the sheets. Girl stuff took me awhile to get used to but the more I thought about it, I've come to understand that it's no big deal. It's a completely normal bodily function. Thankfully for Lily there was nothing there. I tore them off and chucked them in the corner to grab later.

I made my way downstairs and darted towards the kitchen. I grabbed the ingredients for pancakes and measured them out into a bowl. I began to mix them together as Lily walked in.

"Pancakes, ok?"

Her eyes lit up as she walked over and sat on one of the bar stools. "Sounds great."

"I thought you'd like to know that the sheets were fine," I said grabbing a frying pan from the cupboard.

"Oh...good," her voice lowered again. I placed the pan on the stove before turning back to face her.

"Lily, it's fine. Honestly I don't care." I saw something sad flash through her eyes. "What is it?"

Lily blinked and shook her head and forcefully smiled. "Nothing..."

"Lily, come on tell me."

She sighed. "Umm...Pete used to get mad at me for bleeding over his sheets...and I guess that was running through my mind and wondered how you would act."

"Shit, what a loser," I picked up the bowl, put it near the stove and turned on one of the plates. "Caring about his precious sheets more than his gorgeous girlfriend." I smirked in hope I'd make her feel better but she just stared at me with sadness in her eyes.

"It got so bad that he used to tear off the sheet, shove it at me then forcefully shout to buy another. He said it was disgusting and I should control myself better. I became scared of him...I actually felt sorry for the girl he cheated on me with. How crazy is that?"

I flipped the pancake over, turned the heat down a bit and faced her. "I-I would never do that to you."

Lily instantly relaxed and smiled. "I know...I was just-"

"Over thinking."

She nodded and let out a sigh as I went back to the stove. "You should have told me that Lily. I know I said I didn't want to know about Pete but this is serious. It would have been nice to know before you panicked."

"I know, I'm sorry Alex."

I grinned and placed a plate with pancakes down on the counter. "Don't be sorry, he sounds like a mega loser. Eat."

Lily smiled and picked up a knife and fork, and began to shove the pancake in her mouth. I wasn't sure if it was just hunger, hormones or a mix of both. I watched as she drowned her other pancakes in syrup and chocolate sauce.

"So are you having any pancakes with your syrup and chocolate sauce?" I chuckled as I sat next to her.

"Shut up. It's not my fault. I just need sweet stuff."

I playfully pouted when she glanced at me. "I'm not sweet enough for you then?"

"Not right now." She giggled which made me laugh.

"Fine!" I winked and began to eat mine.

"Oh by the way, it's alright." she spoke up after finishing up what was on the plate.

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

She giggled. "Seriously, you were totally eyeing up my boobs upstairs."

Heat rushed to my cheeks. "Err...in my defence you...nah I've got nothing...I'm sorry...it just happened. I would blame it on being-"

Her lips crashed to mine. She kissed me deeply and pulled away with a smile. "I meant it, it's ok, you pervert," she giggled as she picked up her plate, carrying it over to the sink.

Lily's POV

Later that day, Alex had popped out to help my mum with something. I was going to go too but he protested and said he can handle my mother on his own. I laughed and let him go. I wasn't sure how long he'd be so I took the time to relax.

A moment later I heard the front door open. It couldn't be Alex back already. I looked over my shoulder and I was right. Zach was there.

"Hey," I waved with a smile. Which he returned.

"Is Alex home?"

I shook my head. "Nope, he's out."

He grinned, then glanced towards the floor and back up. "Don't get mad at him but Jack told me something," he said, sitting on the couch. I went and joined him.

"Ok...," he continued, trying to avoid eye contact with me. It was odd but I didn't want to interrupt what he was about to say.

"It didn't mean anything."

He looked me up and down. I didn't find it creepy for some reason, which lit up his eyes. "I must admit you're very beautiful but that's it... I was just upset about my sister." His words seemed to echo through the room.

It took me a moment to realise what had just happened. His lips were suddenly on mine. I quickly pulled away. What was he thinking? He just told me that I was wrong about him. Surely wasn't showing it.

"Zach?" I just stared at him in shock.

He just smiled. "It's ok to have a little fun right?" He leaned in and grabbed me. I jumped up out of his hold.

"Zach stop!"

The harsh tone to my voice made his eyes widen. He bolted up from the couch and eyed me over again, this time it was creepy. I took a step back. "If Alex wasn't there, you'd be mine."

"What?" I mumbled.

Zach laughed. "Come on, let's have fun," he winked and closed the gap.

All of a sudden the room began to spin. The thumping in my chest grew stronger, tears began to fall. All I could hear was his laughter. Then an awful buzzing sound. I clamped my hands over my ears and began to sob.

That's when my eyes flung open and bolted upright on the couch. I wiped the tears away and took a deep breath. I'd fallen asleep. I needed to talk to Zach. I grabbed my phone and dialled his number.

"Lily?" He sounded really confused. I've never really phoned him before.

"I need to talk to you." I spoke quickly in between my rapid breathing.

"Uhh ok, I'm coming."

Then the line went dead. I chucked my phone down and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a glass and filled it with water.

"What's wrong?" I jumped upon hearing Zach. I wasn't expecting him to be so quick. I turned and he quickly ran over.

"Let's go sit down." He nodded and followed me over to the couch. "What did you mean on the bus the other day."

He smiled. "I knew this would come up. Well, all I meant is that Alex is very lucky to have you. He's had so many failed relationships and then you come along and, right now, that's changed."

"Oh..."

Zach chuckled. "Seriously Lil, I wouldn't do anything to hurt Alex. Anyway I have a girlfriend, one is enough." He grinned, humour lit up his eyes.

I sighed. "I'm sorry...over thinking again."

"Pretty sure you've been told not to do that." He opened his arms and ushered me over. He wrapped his arms around in a friendly, reassuring hug.

"Is that all?" He asked.

"No... I just fell asleep on the couch, had a nightmare. You were in it. You were going to...rape me. It was so vivid. I thought it was actually happening."

I watched his smile disappear. His eyes widened. "Oh Jesus. Shit. Lily, what the hell?" he began, horror took over, it looked like he was about to cry. "I'm sorry for dream Zach's actions. Are you ok? You're not scared of me?"

l smirked. "That's cute Zach. Thanks and no, I'm not scared of you that would be stupid."

Zach took a deep breath and smiled. "Good. I'm glad you told me. It must have been all that over thinking, hey?" He winked.

"Yep...I really need to stop that."

He chuckled and grabbed my hand in his. "How about I make it up to you and teach you how to play a bass guitar or any other instrument." His eyes lit up with his words.

"That would be awesome but you don't have to."

Zach pulled me off the couch and pulled me over to the instruments. "No I feel bad. I'm making it up to you, if you want it or not." He smiled and picked up his bass guitar. "Bass guitar alright?"

I nodded as he passed me the bass guitar. Learning how to play it with Zach was fun. He was a great teacher. He laughed at how uncoordinated my bass skills were at first but I soon managed to keep up with his mega slowed down strums. I had a huge smile on my face as I finished. "You better watch out, I'll be replacing you soon."

Zach smirked. "I don't think I have to worry about that...yet." He stood up and placed the guitar down.

Notes

So sorry to Zach! I would have italicised the dream but I didn't want to make it obvious. This idea had been playing on my mind that he was going to be the guy that got her drunk that started all of this but Alex had seen the guy already so I couldn't have Zach be him. Well I could have but I felt horrible at making him the bad guy. He's so sweet in real life. (Haven't met him but seen loads of interviews on YouTube.) So Zach's all good now.

@Newyork_xo
I'm glad that you enjoyed this. I might think about another story as this one has been fun to write. Yes, poor Alex, it wasn't meant to end like that but with all the changes and other characters being added it just went in that direction. I know I've said this a lot already but thank you for your comments, I really appreciated getting them. :)
