Work In Progress
"Why would I do that? I'm with you."
Lily's POV
I opened my eyes, they were sore and my head pounded. I crawled out of Alex's bed and went back to my room. I searched my bag for something to ease the pain. I pulled out my bottle of Lavender oil and began to rub it in to my forehead, when I heard the floor boards creak.
"Smells like lilies in here." Alex smirked, as he stood in the doorway.
I tightened the lid. "It's lavender actually."
"Ah, same difference."
"Not really..." I chucked the bottle on the bed, with more force than expected. "Totally different flowers." I mumbled, which grabbed Alex's attention.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm...I'm annoyed that the freaking nightmares are back. I thought they had gone." Tears started to well up, which I blinked away to hide them from Alex.
"So you should be, he took advantage of you."
I glanced up at him and shook my head. "Why are you so understanding? Right now I'm caving in to this stupid fear-"
"Stop that. I'm understanding because I know what it's like to suffer." He walked in and pulled me into his arms. "Haven't told you this yet, I get panic attacks. I know how tough these dreams are for you because I had them too, remember?"
"You have panic attacks?" I pulled out of his embrace. He sat down on the bed. "Yea I do. Sometimes right in the middle of a show, it's hard."
"How often?"
"Not that much these days but I used to get them a lot...Anyway, what I'm saying is, it's actually a good thing to let your emotions out. Hell, if you have to take your anger or annoyance out on me...actually do it. I promise I won't take it too personally. We'll get through this."
I smirked. "Stop that."
"What?" Alex said with a more cheerful tone to his voice.
"Stop being...awesome."
Alex laughed and swung his arms around me. "I'm sorry, I don't think I can do that." His lips planted a huge kiss on my cheek.
Later that day, the sound of Alex playing his guitar interrupted my thoughts. It was strange, the others weren't around today. I left my room and made my way across the hallway. I stood at his door for a moment before knocking.
"Come in." He was placing the guitar down as I walked in. "I...I'm sorry, I heard you playing and," I smiled shyly, "I couldn't resist listening."
"Don't need to be sorry for that," he reassured, "was just a little practice session as you were busy sorting your room out."
"You sounded great..." I grinned. "How do I know you just didn't ditch me."
"Huh?." He stated.
"Yesterday, I vaguely remember you saying you would help me with my room."
His eyes widened. "Oh my god, yes I did, didn't I? I'm so sorry Lily."
I giggled. "It's fine Alex, you helped me in another way earlier."
He smiled.
I quickly looked around his room, properly, noticing his other guitars were hung up on the wall. "Looks like a music instrument shop in here." I waved a finger at the wall.
Alex's eyes lit up and chuckled. "I have this weird angle thing. I don't like propping anything against a wall unless it's flat or is in a right angle...they're...just...umm right." He was left with a massive smile on his face.
"You know that makes you sound like a psycho right?"
Alex nodded, as if he seemed pretty proud of what I just called him. "Yep, I'm well aware of it. Jack calls me a freak."
"Talking of Jack, you know there's this jalex thing?"
"Yes," he quickly replied. I'm pretty sure I could see his cheeks turn a light shade of pink before he turned away. "That's just a crazy fan thing... makes us both uncomfortable. We're just really good friends. And this shipping business is...well I don't get it. So don't go shipping us."
I laughed. "Why would I do that? I'm with you."
He laughed and turned round. "I mean you and I, us, not Jack and I."
"But aren't we already shipped?"
He shook his head with a smirk. "I guess...but no...we're not being shipped. That's to do with moving stuff over on a water vehicle, not to do with relationships that are usually fake...kids these days with their new lingo."
"Lingo?" I raised my eyebrow. "Wow I didn't know you'd be so passionate about this subject," I said, bursting into laughter.
"Short word for language," he said followed by a grin.
"Yes, I'm well aware of that. Just didn't know you'd use that word."
"Lily, I come with all sorts of crazy lingo words." He smirked and began to walk out of the room, but stopped at the door. "I'm hungry, I'll make us lunch. I don't care if it's usually a breakfast or dessert thing, it feels like a time for pancakes." He spoke with excitement to his voice.

Notes
Sorry, I made Alex mock shipping, to be honest I don't get it. Probably because I'm 27, it's not in the slang words of my childhood. Also mentioned Jalex. I saw an interview where it was brought up and Alex and Jack got somewhat embarrassed by it.
And the angle thing, he's adorable.
@Newyork_xo
I'm glad that you enjoyed this. I might think about another story as this one has been fun to write. Yes, poor Alex, it wasn't meant to end like that but with all the changes and other characters being added it just went in that direction. I know I've said this a lot already but thank you for your comments, I really appreciated getting them. :)
