You've got to hold on.

Jacks POV

I woke up alone in bed and Alex side of the bed was cold.
"Get the fuck away from me!" I heard Alex shout outside so I quickly got out of bed and went downstairs.
Lily was on the sofa looking really scared.
I walked over and opened my arms out and she ran into my arms and I stood up and held her close to me.
"What's happening sweetie?" I asked quietly.
"Alex has gone mad. He might of taken something but he just went crazy." She sniffed.
"Do you know what he has taken?" I asked and moved some hair out of her eyes and she sniffed loudly again.
"I don't know but he was really spaced out and Joyce said something and he got really angry and went outside and Joyce followed him." She said.
"Okay, you stay in here and hug teddy yeah and I'll see if I can talk some sense into Alex." I said and walked over to the sofa and put her down and she hugged teddy.
"I'll be back to check on you." I said and kissed the top of her head and went outside.

I walked outside and Alex had completely lost it.
I went over to mum who was keeping a close eye on him from a distance.
"He's taken something Jack. I don't know what but he's completely different. I don't know what to do with him." Mum said.
"Don't throw him out please mum." I said and looked at her.
"I wasn't going to throw him out. But he needs to get himself sorted out." Mum said and looked at me.
I just looked at Alex who was sat on the floor with his head in his hand and he was crying.
"He has something wrong with him mum." I said to mum.
"Something is certainty wrong with him as he wouldn't be like this." Mum said studying Alex from a distance.
"What was he like before this happened?" I asked.
"He was alright, a bit spaced out and then he got really angry and started to pace round the room with his fist in a ball and when I spoke to him he jumped and started shouting and came out here and punch the wall and went to the garden and sat down." She said.
"He hasn't been sleeping much. If I wake up in the middle of the night to check on him he's still wide awake watching TV and watching me sleep. Even when he does sleep he sometimes has panic attacks or has a bad dream which wakes him up and then he's unable to sleep for a few days and then he only sleeps because he's exhausted and it all goes into one big cycle of it happening again." I said.
"He needs to go to the doctors and find out what is wrong with him." She said and looked at her watch.
"I need to check on Lily, will you be okay to sort Alex out?" Mum said and I nodded and she went inside and I went over to Alex.

I walked over and sat next to him and he looked up and jumped when he saw me and looked back down.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Nothing." Alex whispered and looked away from me.
"There is something wrong. Talk to me Lex. I'm here for you if you ever need someone to talk to." I said and pulled him to my side which made him tense up a lot which wasn't like Alex.
"I'm fine." Alex said quietly and cuddled into my side.
"Babe your not fine." I said and kissed the top of his head.
"My hand hurts." Alex said and lifted his hand up for me to look at.
"You should know that beating a wall up will result in you getting hurt." I said.
Alex just smiled a little.
"You have to go and say sorry to Lily as she's a little freaked out by you." I said and Alex nodded a little.
"I didn't mean to scare her." Alex said quietly.
"I know you didn't but things have happened to her and she's gets scared when people raise their voices." I said.
Alex nodded a little.
"Come on let's sort your hand out." I said and got up and Alex flinched a little and got up and we went upstairs where I sorted Alex hand out and Alex went to bed where I stayed with him while he was sleeping and even fell asleep myself.
