We've Got Unfinished Business

I spent all weekend with my mom, Avery, and Aubrey. Alex was in Miami for his bachelor party and Kellin was busy studying for his history test. Now that the weekend was over everything could go back to normal, well for Kellin and I. I didn’t know what was normal for Alex and I. Alex texted me earlier to let me know his plane had safely landed this morning. I saw on Alex’s Instagram that Lisa had come back a little bit after he did so they were probably going to spend the rest of the day together. He probably wouldn’t be over to see Aubrey until later on this week.

Now I was up at one am trying to get Aubrey to fall asleep. She was extra playful today and whined each time I tried to take her toys away to get her to fall asleep. My mom said that it was fine because she would tire herself out, but it took a few hours for that to happen. She had finally yawned and put her toys down. She raised her arms for me to pick her up. I picked her up and laid her comfortably in my arms.

"Aubrey please go to sleep." I yawned as I rocked her.

My mom was already in bed asleep and I was jealous. I looked down at Aubrey and saw that her eyes were started to close. I cheered to myself and continued to slowly rock her. A few minutes later her eyes were completely shut. I laid her down over my lap so she could fall into a deep sleep before I moved her to her crib.

My phone dinged out loud and I quickly grabbed it to turn vibrate. Aubrey's eyes opened, but luckily shut again. I took a deep breath as I looked at the message.

From Alex:
Hey Babe what r u doing

From Jack:
Babe? You must have the wrong number sir lol

From Alex:
No I'm talking to u becaase I love u so mich

From Jack:
Aren't you worried that Lisa will see your messages? And are you drunk?

From Alex:
Lmao maybe b a little. Lisa and me went out with friends she's sleep now. What r u doing?

From Jack:
I just put Aubrey to sleep and now I'm about to go to bed.

From Alex:
Lol send nudes

From Jack:
What? How drunk are you? Did you forget it’s illegal for me to send you naked pictures?

From Alex:
Ugh then let me come over and see the really thing.

From Jack:
No it's late and my mom is home.

From Alex:
I can take a taxi and I'll be really quiet. She won't even no I'm there.

From Jack:
If you love living life then you won't come anywhere near this house while she's here.

I didn't get a reply from him which seemed like a good thing. Maybe he had finally passed out and he would just stay home. It would have been nice to see him, but I didn't want to take any chances with my mom here.

I picked up Aubrey and carried her upstairs. I stopped by her room and placed her in her crib. Luckily she didn't wake up so I would be able to sleep alone in my own bed. I went to my room and changed into my pajamas. I jumped into my bed and closed my eyes finally able to fall asleep.

I woke up some time later to my phone vibrating. I groaned and picked it up seeing I was only sleep for thirty minutes. I also saw Alex's name on the screen.

"Alex please tell me you're not outside of my house." I pleaded once I answered.

"I would, but then I would be lying." He chuckled drunkenly.

"Oh my gosh! Go home!" I scolded him.

"No I used my money for a cab here so let me in."

"I'm not doing that."

"Either you let me in or I'll ring the doorbell and ask your mom to come in." He threatened.

"Don't!" I told him. I quickly got out of bed and quietly made my way to the front door. I opened it and sure enough, Alex was standing there swaying.

"Get in here!" I whispered-yelled at him and he giggled.

I pulled him upstairs to my room and closed the door behind us. My mom could literally walk in at any moment and see him here in my room.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Mad is an understatement." I mumbled.

“You’re so sexy when you’re mad at me.” He chuckled and I glared at him trying to hide the fact that I was blushing. He noticed that I wasn’t going to let this slide. "I'm sorry! I just really wanted to see you. I miss you more every day." He apologized.

"I miss you too Alex, but you can't do things like this. You're engaged and my mom and literally downst-" I was cut off by him pulling me to him and kissing me.

"Let's pretend those things don't matter tonight." He said against my lips and kissed me again.

I couldn't stop myself from wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing back. He walked us backwards until we fell against my bed.

"I love you so much." He began to kiss all over my neck.

"I love you too." I said.

I lifted up to let him pull both of our shirts off. He threw them to the ground and kissed down my chest to my stomach making me feel weak. He pulled off my pajama pants along with my underwear and began biting and licking all over my hip bones.

"Don't tease me." I whispered.

"Okay." He chuckled.

He lifted up and reached in his back pocket and bought out a bottle of lubed and a condom. Then he pulled off his pants and underwear and climbed back on top of me. I watched him cover three of his fingers in lube and he spread my legs apart.

"It's been a while since I had to do this." He chuckled to himself.

He put one finger at a time in me until I was begging him to ‘just fuck me already.’ He pulled his fingers out and slid the condom on himself next. He covered himself in lube and threw the bottle on the floor. It’s been a little over a year since I had sex so I braced myself for him to push in. He entered in me slowly, but it still didn't stop the pain.

"Oh fuck." I moaned as he pushed into me and pulled back out.

"Shh we don't want your mom to hear." He whispered in my ear.

I tried to hold back my moans but it was hard to do especially when he hit my spot. I wrapped my legs around his hips and tight held on to him. We both breathed heavily together as he continued to thrust in and out of me. A few loud moans slipped past my lips but for the most part we stayed quiet.

"I'm so close." He told me and I whimpered in agreement.

He began to speed up but the noises my bed was making was too loud.

“Slow down.” I moaned and he nodded against my shoulder. He lifted up started going deeper at a much slower pace. He grabbed one of my legs and threw it over his shoulder, making me weaker. He pushed into me a few more times and I wrapped my hand around myself. I did this until I was coming on my hand and stomach.

"Alex!" I cried and he covered my mouth until I came down from my high.

Once I finished he let my leg down, placed both of his hands next to my head, and slowly pounded into me until he was coming inside of the condom. He collapsed on to me and we laid together.

"I love you." Alex told me. He stayed on top of me and kissed my shoulder and neck.

"I love you too." I smiled. I missed being able to cuddle with him after sex.

He rolled over behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. Within seconds we were both sound asleep.

I woke up to the sound of Aubrey crying the next morning. I tried to move out of bed but it was so warm and comfortable. I stopped hearing her cry a few minutes later. I smiled to myself, happy I wasn't going to have to move out of bed. My mom had come to get her so I wouldn't have to.

I rolled over and cuddled into Alex's body. He made me feel even warmer. I cuddled into his chest and he wrapped his arm back around my waist. It took me five seconds to realize that he shouldn't have been in bed with me still. I quickly pulled up from his arms and sat up.

"Alex! Alex get up!! You have to hid-" I couldn't even finish my sentence.

"-Jack did you-" My mom came in with Aubrey and saw me in bed, naked, with Alex.

Alex quickly sat up with me. I couldn't judge the look on my mom’s face, it looked like a mix of shock, anger, and disappointment. Even though Aubrey couldn't express those emotions properly I know that's how she would have felt too.

"Mom I-" I tried to speak.

"-Mm mm no I don't want to hear it. Both of you get dressed and meet me down stairs now." She demanded and walked off.

I took a deep breath and turned to Alex, who looked scared out of his mind. I was just as scared if not more.

"We should probably do as she said." I warned and he nodded.

We both got out of bed and dressed in our clothes we had on last night. I did the best to finger comb my hair so it wouldn't look like sex hair. Alex's hair looked around the same that it always did. We walked down stairs and I stopped Alex before we got to the living room.

"You should probably let me walk in front of you just in case she has a knife or something." I was kind of joking. I didn't know how my mom would react to me having a boy in the house.

"What about you?" He asked.

"I'm already a dead man." I sighed.

I walked out first with Alex close behind me. My mom watched us as we came and sat down on the couch across from her. She had to put Aubrey back in her crib while we talked downstairs. I didn't look up to make eye contact, but Alex did. I don't know if that was a good or bad thing. I was ashamed, but maybe he was trying to come off as respectful.

"Ma'am I should probably intro-" Alex was cut off by my mom.

"-We'll get to you in a minute." She held her hand up to him then she looked at him again. "Wait are you the same boy from the mall?" She asked him. She could always remember faces, never names.

"Yes ma'am." He said. For once I wished he lied about something.

"Even after I told you he was underage you still had sex with him?" She questioned and Alex finally looked down. "How old are you?"

"Twenty-four." He answered.

"Are you aware that Jack is now only seventeen?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Give me one reason I shouldn't call the police right now." She said and my stomach dropped.

"Wait please don't! I'm in a band and if my fans-"

"-No I don't care how famous you are." She shrugged.

"Mom-" I tried to speak, but she cut me off.

"-I'm talking to...."

"Alex." Alex answered.

"I'm talking to Alex right now. You'll get your chance to speak in a second." She said. "Now back to you, Alex, I don't think that was a good enough reason so I'm sorry." She picked up her phone.

"Wait! In getting married in a few weeks!" He panicked.

My mom frowned at him with her phone in her hand. "You honestly think that telling me you're getting married soon is going to help? If anything that makes things worse for you."

She unlocked her phone, I'm pretty sure she was serious about this so I did the one thing I should have done a year ago.

"Mom he's Aubrey's father!" I pleaded.

She looked up at us and sat her phone down next to her. "Is that true?" She asked.

"Yes." Alex and I answered at the same time.

She didn't speak, she just sat and stared at us. I was embarrassed and saddened that she had to find out this way. She ran her hands through her hair and thought for a minute.

"So you're the father of my Grandchild? Why weren't you here for her when she was born?" She asked Alex angrily.

"I didn't tell him until a month ago." I answered for him.

"Why didn't you tell him?!"

"Because when he found out that I was sixteen he didn't want anything to do with me. And I was too embarrassed to tell him that I was pregnant."

"You should have told him after you found out Jack!" She scolded me.

"I know." I mumbled and looked down again.

"And you're engaged but you're still having sex with my underage son?" She asked Alex.

"It was honestly an accident. I was drunk and I don't really remember coming here or anything that happened last night." Alex said. I couldn't tell if he was telling the truth or not.

"Drunk or not you still slept with my son. But instead of turning you in to the police I'm going to give you some advice. Go home and tell your fiancé about the affair so you won't worry yourself to death about it. And also stay away from my son and Aubrielle or I will call the police and have every last charge of statutory rape pressed against you. Is that clear?"

"Mom!" I yelled at her, but she ignored me.

"Yes ma'am." Alex said in a shaking voice. He stood up and looked at me apologetically before leaving.

"You had no right telling him to stay away from me and his own daughter!" I complained.

"I actually have every right! You're still a minor and Aubrey is a minor too. Maryland law states that one minor can't have custody of another minor meaning Aubrey is under my custody until you turn eighteen. If I don't think he has Aubrey’s best interest at heart then he will not be allowed around her!" She argued. "What kind of man would have sex with an underage person while he’s engaged to someone else? Did it ever cross your mind that he’s just using you?” She said, sounding like Kellin.

I opened my mouth ready to fight back, but I didn't know what to say to that. It did seem like Alex was just using me but I knew he wasn’t, I just didn’t know how to prove it. Instead I let my anger get the best of me. I walked away from her and went back up to my room. I went to my closet and pulled out my suitcase. I quickly stuffed as many of my clothes and necessities as I could into it. Then I grabbed Aubrey's bag and packed as many of her clothes and necessities into it.

Aubrey was in her playpen in her room. I walked out of mine and went to get her. She raised her arms for me and I lifted her up and took her downstairs with me.

My mom was sitting on the couch with her head in her hands when I walked down with my bags. She wiped a few tears from her eyes and looked up at me.

"What are you doing?" She sighed and shook her head at me.

"I'm leaving." I stated and grabbed my keys off of the coffee table.

"And where exactly are you going?"

"To get away from you." I told her and turned to leave.

"Fine go. I’ll just let you figure out the truth on your own." She shrugged.

I frowned and slammed the door on my way out.
