Jacks POV

After me and Alex picked the kids up we went our separate ways.
Like normal Zack came round with his two.

Isla was playing with Eric and Jacob which left me and Zack in the kitchen talking and catching up on gossip.
"What's new in the Barakat household then?" Zack asked.
I smiled.
"Oh you smiled which means something to do with Alex." He said.
"Well we talked. Actually it was more liked shouted at each other but we have agreed to try and put the past behind us and be friends." I said with a big smile.
"Ah I'm so happy! Maybe now you can work on trying to get into Alex's pants." He chuckled.
"Kinda already did that." I said.
"You did not!" He said and looked at me shocked.
"Alex made the first move. It was like the best fuck I have had for 5 years." I said.
"Okay so now you need to get Alex to be yours for once and for all." He smiled.
"Planning to. Anyway he's gonna clean this shithole for me and look after Isla so I can get more work." I said.
"Your using him as a slave. What have I told you about this." He chuckled.
" He offered. He needs the money Zack so of course I'll let him clean and look after Isla." I said.
Zack just shook his head.
"Anyway, need to try and get Alex to trust me again because he said it himself he doesn't trust me anymore. I understand him on that." I said and looked down.
"Just be a good friend to him. He'll like you once he sees you are a good friend and not just want him for sex." Zack said.
"I don't want him for sex. Anyway I sort of shouted that I still loved him sooo yeah, I just have to do more flirting with him than what I had to do." I said.
"Fucking hell Jack." Zack chuckled.
I chuckled and cooked everyone tea since Zack normally stayed round for tea.

It was the weekend and me and Isla was bored.
"Daddy can we go to the park?" She asked and jumped on me.
"Shell we see if Archie wants to join as well?" I asked.
"Yeah." She smiled and sat on my stomach.
"Pass my phone over then." I said and she passed me my phone.
Alex gave me his number before he left and said if I wanted to meet up or anything then just text him.
I texted him and he agreed to meet up with Archie.
"Isla go put your shoes and coat on then." I said and she jumped off me and went running out.
I got dressed and met Isla in the sitting room.
"Is Archie going to be there?" She asked.
"Yeah, so is Alex so we better get going." I said and put my coat on and brought a spare one in case Alex didn't have a coat yet.

We got to the park and Alex was already there.
"Got you!" Archie laughed as he grabbed hold of Alex's leg.
"What am I going to do now?" Alex chuckled and looked up and saw me and smiled.
"Catch me!" Archie said and ran towards Alex and jumped and Alex just about managed to catch him.
"I almost dropped you!" Alex chuckled and held Archie close to him and kissed the side of his head.
"You going to say Hi to Jack?" Alex said.
Archie just smiled and waved.
"Isla is somewhere. Go and find her." I said and Alex put Archie down and he ran off looking for Isla.

"Why is he so cute?" I chuckled.
"Its the chubby cheeks." He chuckled.
"Don't think it is." I said and looked at Alex.
"Look the other day..." He started but I stopped him.
"Already forgotten." I said and he smiled.
"It was a mistake." He said and looked down.
That hurt for some reason.
"I know." I said and he looked at me.
"Wow your taking this calmer than what I thought you would." He said.
"Changed man.' I said.
Alex chuckled.
"Yesterday told me a complete different story." he said and sat on the floor.
I joined him on the floor.
"Well that was the sex. Other than that I have changed." I said.
"That so?" He chuckled.
"Yeah. I'll even show you I have changed if you want." I said.
Alex looked at me.
"Okay then. You have a 2 months to show me you have changed." He said.
"What will happen at the end of the 2 months?" I asked.
"You can ask me if i want to be your boyfriend." He said and looked at what Archie and Isla was doing.
"Wait your being serious?" I asked.
Alex looked at me and spat on his hand and held it out to me.
I rolled my eyes and did the same and shook his hand.
"2 months to show me Jack. Better make it worth your while." He said.
I smiled and thought about what I could do.

"Fancy having tea with us?" I asked Alex as he picked Archie up since Archie was bushed by the look of things.
"Sure." Alex smiled and we walked to a restaurant me and Isla loved.
We sat down and Archie was sat on Alex's lap.
"You going to share my food bud?" Alex asked Archie and he nodded.
"Early night I guess?" I said.
"Yeah, had a rubbish last night didnt you?" He said and messed with Archie's hair and Archie nodded.
"Bless." I said.
"Alex?" Isla said and looked at him.
"Yeah." Alex said and looked at her.
"Where's Archie's mummy?" She asked.
"Isla." I said and looked at her.
"Its fine Jack." He said.
"Archie's mummy doesn't want anything to do with him." He said and looked at Archie.
"Hey bud. Just you and me isn't it?" He said and Archie nodded.
I smiled a sad smiled and looked at Isla.
She moved and sat on my lap.
"What's that?" She asked and pointed to my beer.
"Beer." I said.
"No its not. It looks like apple juice." She said.
"Want to taste it?" I asked and she nodded.
"A sip okay." I said and put the glass to her mouth and she said a sip.
She pulled a face and me and Alex chuckled.
"See, not apple juice." I said.
"Nasty." She said.
"Won't be saying that when your older." Alex said.
She looked at him confused.
"You'll understand when your older." I said and kissed the top of her head.

We had our meal and Archie had fallen asleep as we walked back.
"Can Archie stay round?" Isla asked and looked at me.
I looked at Alex.
"Not tonight okay, maybe tomorrow if you like." Alex said.
Isla smiled and nodded.
"Maybe Alex can stay round as well." She said.
I looked at Alex.
"We'll see okay. This is my street so I'll see you guys later." He said and walked of down and stopped and walked in this house.
I smiled and me and Isla walked home.

"I like Alex." She yawned as she sat next to me on the sofa in her PJs.
"Do you?" I asked and sat next to her.
She cuddled into my side.
"Yeah. He's really nice and funny." She said.
"That's good then." I muttered.
" Do you like Alex?" She asked.
"Yeah. Course I like Alex." I said.
"Good." She yawned.
"Shell I put you to bed?" I asked and looked at her.
She nodded and climbed onto my lap and I stood up and held her close to me.

I put her into bed and she was asleep before her head hit the pillow.
I smiled and pulled the covers over her a d kissed her forehead.
"Night sweetie." I said quietly and walked out the room.
I walked to my room and flopped onto the bed and fell asleep.
