Forgive me. Please?

Alex's POV

Archie was still ill after a week of being ill.
"Thinking about taking little man to the doctors, he's still not well." I said as I balanced Archie on my hip since we was having cuddles.
"Maybe he has this serious stomach bug going around. You know what these germs monsters are like." Jack said and I looked at him.
"You also have a germ monster of a child." I said and Jack chuckled and Isla came running out and hugged Jacks leg.
"Yeah, but she doesn't get ill like Archie." Jack said.
"Okay we're not having a contest on who's child get sickest the quickest okay." I said.
"Fine, come on Isla lets go to school and i can go to work and we can leave the sick notes at home and clean the flat yeah." Jack said and Isla giggled and nodded.
"Go say goodbye to Alex and Archie Isla." Jack said and Isla came over and i put Archie down and hugged Isla.
"Be good yeah and I'll pick you up later." I said and Isla nodded and I kissed the top of her head and she walked back over to Jack.
"Go put your shoes on." Jack said and Isla walked over to where the shoes where and she started to put her shoes on.
"I'll see you later." Jack said quietly and kissed me which I returned.
"Oh, I have to talk top about something but it can wait until I get home later. You'll be okay with putting the kids to bed tonight won't you?" Jack said and I looked at him confused.
"Why?" I asked.
"I have to stay late at work. Need to get some more money." Jack said and kissed me again.
I frowned at him.
"Trust me please." Jack whispered and kissed my cheek and he walked off to towards the door and took Isla to preschool.
I sighed loudly and Archie looked at me.
"Daddy okay?" Archie asked.
"Yeah bud. Let's go and watch films." I said and picked him up and walked to the TV and we watched films all day until I had to get Isla.

I put the kids to bed and was washing up when Jack came home.
"Babe?" Jack said loudly and I shushed him loudly.
"The kids are in bed." I said quietly and Jack walked over to hug me but took a step back.
"Woah Lex what's wrong?" Jack asked.
"You seeing someone Jack?" I asked and Jack looked at me shocked.
"Where the fuck did this come from?" Jack asked really confused.
"The last time you stay late at work you was fucking a woman and got her pregnant. Now if you are fucking someone else Jack then just fucking say so and then me and Archie will be out of here." I said seriously.
"I'm working late because we need the money Alex. You can't exactly work since Archie is ill so I'm the one who has to make the money otherwise we are all homeless. You might be fucking happy being homeless but I am fucked if I'm letting my little girl sleep in the cold and wet." Jack said.
I looked down and wrapped my arms round myself.
"Shit Lex things got really bad for you didn't it?" Jack asked completely changing.
"I'm not talking about it, because it doesn't concern you." I said and went to walk off but Jack caught hold of my arm but in stayed looking down.
"It does concern me Alex." Jack said and I looked at him.
"It doesn't fucking matter Jack. What's done is done, you shouldn't care." I said quietly and walk ton the sitting room and sat on the sofa.

Jack came over with a beer for me and for himself and handed it to me which I took and smiled a thanks to him.
"Look it was going to be a surprise for you and the kids but I've been saving up for a house." Jack said and I looked at him.
"What?" I asked confused.
"The flat is a little crowded and the kids aren't exactly getting any smaller and soon Archie and Isla can't share a room." Jack said.
"So you've brought a house?" I asked confused.
"Well not yet. I was going to surprise you and show you the house tomorrow but I guess that's plan ruined." Jack said and looked down.
"Its not ruined." I said quietly.
"It was me being a paranoid cunt." I said and looked down.
"Hey, if you did what I did to you. I would be exactly the same as you." Jack said and put his hand on my knee.
I moved and sat on his lap and kissed him.
"Want to see the house with me tomorrow?" Jack asked and I nodded.
"Course I do. I have to agree with you that the flat is getting a little crowed for us." I said and Jack smiled.
"We'll ship the kids of tomorrow and we'll look round the house." Jack said and I nodded.
"Let's go to bed." Jack said and I nodded and got off Jack and we went to bed.
