Alex was laing next to Jack ontop of his nlack comforter that he brought from his parents home. They weren't sleeping, they weren't cuddling, nor talking, just laying there. Jack had put on their favourite Foo Fighters album "The Colour and The Shape". Jack was tapping his fingers on the bed to the beat of 'Everlong', listening to Alex hum along the lyrics. For once they were drapped in a veul of calm and serine quiet. There were in their own world, with no one nor nothing to bother them, just one absorbing the other's energy and feelings.
Jack could feel Alex's sadness, all the weight he carried from being labeled a nutcase, carying around the weight of the word that had been placed on his shoulders, schitzophrenic. Alex could feel Jack's happiness disguising the sorrow, the wieght he carried from all the worying of Alex's well being. But there was one thing the boy's both shared in this; they were scared shitless of their futures.
As the song ended, Jack rolled over to look at the elder of the two, scooting closer to the boy's side. Alex just curled into Jack, resting his head next to his chest. Jack moved down to look at Alex's face. He leaned forward and rested their foreheads together before leaning in and placing a feather light kiss on Alex's lips. "Four years." Jack mummbled against Alex's jaw.
"Four years of what?" Alex responded, slightly confused.
"Four years that we've been best friends," Jack kissed the corner of the confused boy's jaw, "Three years i've known i love you," a kiss farther up his jaw, "Two for me to try and pretend like i didn't," kiss, "One to figure out my feelings for you," kiss, "One month you told me you loved me," kiss, "Three days later I almost lost you." Jack had kissed all the way along Alex's jaw to his mouth, tears were forming in both boy's eyes. Alex leaned in and kissed Jack with more passion than ever before, his kiss was his promisse. A promise to never leave again.
Jack's hands found their way to Alex's hips, winding around them like vines on brick. Alex's finders tangled into Jack's raven strands, a vice grip on them. Jack pulled Alex on top of him, he had waited three years for this. Jack broke away from Alex's lips, moving down to suck on the skin of Alex's jaw, "I love you," he murmered against the purpling flesh.
"Show me." Alex said breathlessly, looking into Jack's eyes.
