Carlie POV

I woke up in a bed that wasn’t mine and instantly freaked out a tiny bit until I remembered the road trip. I got up and looked out the window; what I saw was breathtaking, we were in a house on the beach. I had only ever been to the beach once and that was when I was five and my parents took me to Blackpool. I had been nowhere near as gorgeous as the beach we were at now.
I jumped in the shower feeling refreshed afterwards. I dried my hair and decided to curl it. I put on my makeup and then got dressed in a blue bikini which I found in my suitcase, a crop top that showed my belly but covered my back and a pair of shorts which just about covered the scars on my legs.

I went downstairs and while walking round the house i made a note of how big it was; I followed the sound of voices to find my friends outside by the pool. Alex was facing away from me when I walked outside but he turned around when our friends started wolf whistling at hollering; his mouth opened wide and he stared at me.

“Wow you look phenomenal, well you’re always hot but…. Wow…. You look…. I can’t even put into words how sensational you look…. I’ve never seen you wear anything like that before, except for Halloween but that’s different. I like it,” alex gasped speechless.

“Thanks Lex,” I blushed.

“So birthday girl this is your week, what do you want to do today?” Cass asked.

“Well I’d tell you but I don’t even know where we are,” I replied.

“We’re in Miami, but we have something planned for tomorrow so you can choose today,” Alex said.

“Wait as in Miami, Florida?” I exclaimed.

“Well duh, how many Miami’s do you know?” Jack replied sarcastically.

“But that’s like a 17-hour drive,” I replied.

“It’s 1pm now Car, we got here at like 10am. Alex carried you the room that you and he share so, he didn’t have to wake you. We thought it best to let you sleep because we knew you hadn’t been sleeping properly,” Vic explained.

“OH ok wow, I didn’t even realise it was the afternoon. I must have really been out of it,” I said.

“Yep,” Jack said popping the “P” and everyone laughed.

We decided to just spend the day chilling because of the long drive and spent all of it by the pool.


**Fast forwards 4 days**
Carlie’s Birthday Alex POV
I awoke super early so I could make sure everything was ready. I was awake at 5am which was good for me as I rarely saw 9am unless I had school.
We had all been busy since we got to Miami; we hadn’t stopped we went sight-seeing and saw everything Miami had to offer. We spent a lot of time on the beach which was nice. It was good to see Carlie be truly happy, I could tell when she was truly happy and when she was fake trying to act happy; it was just due to her eyes when she was truly happy you could see a sparkle in her eyes.
We played a lot of Girls VS Boys beach volleyball which ninety percent of the time the girls beat us at.
Carlie never swam even though we all tried to coax her in the water, she wouldn’t even swim in the pool at the house we were using. The house was Tay’s aunts but, she rarely used it because she was always in New York working.

I got showered and dressed making sure my hair was perfect. I was ready by 6am. I went downstairs to see everyone else already awake and putting up banners and blowing up balloons; my job was to make breakfast. I made pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs and toast. We had all finished by 8am. Carlie’s presents were all in the living room waiting to be opened; she had loads and it made me really hope that she liked them.
I made a checklist in my head presents in the living room check, breakfast on the dining room table check and decorations up check. Now all we needed was Carlie herself. We all went upstairs to see if she was awake and to our surprise she was, she was showered, dressed and hair and makup was done. She was sat on the bed playing Bubble Witch Saga on her phone.

“Hey how long you been awake?” Cass asked because I was too busy staring at the Purple Dress that came just above Carlies knees. She looked incredible like always.

“Since about half 6; I felt that Alex wasn’t there anymore and it woke me up. I’ve been ready about 20 minutes wasn’t going to come downstairs though until you come and got me. I knew you guys would be doing something. Plus, I can smell food, I’m starving can we go eat please?” Carlie replied.

We all laughed and went back downstairs; Carlie gasped when she saw all the decorations and the breakfast laid out on the table. The moment we all sat down we all turned to Carlie and shouted “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
Carlie started blushing not knowing what ot say but, we all knew because she had a huge grin on her face. After breakfast I dragged Carlie outside so everyone else could tidy up before opeing presents. We got outside and sat on a sun lounger.

Carlie started to kiss me and my breath hitched in my throat when she straddled me without breaking the kiss. We carried on making out, my hands round Carlie’s waist that is until we were interrupted by someone clearing their throat. That person was Jack coming to tell us they had finished and we could come back inside.

I could’ve punched Jack!


Carlie POV

It was the first time that mine and Alex’s make out sessions had ended with me straddling him; well it technically ended because Jack interrupted us. Who knows what would have happened if he hadn’t come outside.

We went back inside, hand in hand. Alex covered my eyes as we walked into the living room. Alex kept his hands over my eyes until we were fully in the room and when he did uncover my eyes I let out a gasp at the sight of all the presents in the room.

“WOW, please don’t tell me those are all for me?” I questioned.

“Yes, yes they are,” Jack replied.

“Wow I’ve never had so many presents; hell I’ve never seen that many presents,” I squealed excitedly.

“Ok someone’s happy,” Tay laughed as I was jumping up and down round the room.

“Someone grab her,” Alex gasped through his laughter.

Zack who was closest to me and the strongest grabbed me. He was restraining me to make sure i didn’t jumping around the room anymore. I calmed down and Alex gave the signal to let me go; instead of instantly letting me go he guided me to the empty seat next to Alex. I was so giddy and smiley; I wasn’t expecting any of this at all. The trip was enough for me but, to have presents aswell was beyond anything I could ever imagine.

I opened my presents mentally making a list of what they were and who they were from:

My Granparents:

• ·Car keys with a note saying I had a new car on the driveway at home.

Cass:

• ·Nightmare before Christmas dress
• ·More dresses of different variety and colour
• ·Purple converse
• ·2 pairs of heels because of my lack of heels
• ·Some underwear from Victoria Secret which I tried to hide but Jack grabbed it, flaunting it about.
• ·Guitar pick necklace with mine and Alex’s names on and the date we met.

Rian:

• ·3 pairs of converse
• ·Band bracelets
• ·My own personal drumsticks because I kept robbing his.
• ·Loads of nail polish brought by Cass paid for by Rian

Jack:

• ·Personalized Guitar picks
• ·Home alone Box set because he hated the fact it was his favourite film and I didn’t have it.
• ·Books because I left most of mine in England.
• ·He also got me some ripped skinny jeans.

Vic:

• ·Make up because a lot of mine was running out
• ·Clothes
• ·Vouchers for various shops
• ·Books

Tay:

• ·Books
• ·2 new pairs of converse
• ·2 pairs of vans
• ·A new backpack
• ·Dvds

Zack:

Alex’s parents:

• ·Coupon for Rita’s Italian ice.

And Finally Alex:

• ·Guitar Tuner which I assumed was for his guitar that I borrow because I don’t have one.

• ·Dvd’s
• ·Posters for my bedroom walls
• ·Band bracelets
• ·Necklace with a musical note and my favourite saying “Don’t Dream It Be It”
• ·Ps3 Games
• ·Subscription to Alternative Press magazine
• ·Jar of promises from Alex of things he will do for me like sing for me or give me a massage or cuddle me just random things he wrote. I could pick one a day and there was a years’ worth of promises in the Jar.

When I finished opening all my presents I couldn’t help but burst in to tears and through sobs I said, “Thank you so much guys, this means so much to me. I didn’t expect all of this. Thank you so so much.”

“Hold on it’s not over yet. I have one last present to give you and then I’m done,” Alex said as he got up and walked out the room; he walked back in a few minutes later carrying a rectangular box.

I looked at him with a confused look on my face as he placed the box in front of me. He motioned at me to open it and what I saw inside made me cry even more because inside the box was a guitar, the exact guitar I had been looking at and wanted.

I jumped up from my seat and launched myself at Alex kissing his face over and over again.

“Alex I could kill you, how could you afford that?” I asked trying to act angry but I had a massive grin on my face.

“I’m friends with the guy in the store and he let me pay it off bit by bit, you deserve it after the year you’ve had with your parents and that. Plus, I love you,” Alex replied kissing me on the nose.

I couldn’t get any words out, I had finally done it. I had finally met a guy that made me truly happy.
