Dancing with the wolves

I was in the middle of going to pick the kids up when my phone went off.
I looked at the number and didn't recognize it but a gut feeling told me to answer it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hello, I'm calling from the hospital. Your husband has been in a serious accident and is in hospital." The voice said.
I stopped in my tracks.
"What? He can't be he was.." I said but stopped myself.
"He's in critical condition. Maybe you should come to the hospital." The voice said.
"Give me a hour and I'll be there." I said and hung up.

I got the kids anmd went straight to Ash and Jinx's place.
"Why we going to uncle Jinx and Ash?" Zig asked.
"I have to go somewhere and I need them to look after you." I said and knocked on their door.
"Why can't daddy look after us?" Zig asked.
"Because daddy is somewhere and I need to go and find him." I said and Ash answered the door.
"Aid what you doing here. Come on in." He said moved.
"I need you too look after the kids for me." I said quickly and put Flo down and gave Ash the bag I had packed quickly.
"Sure, but what's happened?" He asked.
"Will's in hospital." I said and tried not to cry.
"What happened?" Ash asked and pulled me into a hug.
"I don't know." I whispered and returned his hug.
I sniffed and let him go and got down to the kids level.
"Now I need you two to be on your best behavior for uncle Ash and uncle Jinx okay." I said.
They both nodded.
I smiled and hugged them and gave them a kiss.
"I'll see you two tommorow okay." I said and stood up and looked at Ash.
"Thank you so much Ash." I said quietly.
"Any time. Look after yourself as its not just you no more." He said seriously.
My hands automatically went to the small bump I had.
I nodded.
"I'll see you tomorrow. " I said quietly and walked to the hospital.

I got to the hospital and went hunting for Will.
"Excuse me I'm looking for my husband." I said to nurse after not being able to find Will.
"His name?" The nurse asked.
"Will. Will Moore." I said and looked round.
"Would you like me to take you to him?" She asked and looked at me.
I nodded.
She smiled and walked to where Will was.
"How long have you two been married?" She asked making conversation.
"3 years." I said quietly.
"Any children?" She asked.
"Two, third on the way." I said.
She smiled and we got to resus.
"He hurt bad?" I asked quietly.
"I'm not in this department so your better off asking one of the nurses who is dealing with your husband." She said.
I nodded anmd went looking for Will.

I finally found him and he looked really beaten up.
I felt so tears fall down my cheek and I quickly wiped them away.
"Hey baby." I said quietly and kissed his cheek.
He was beaten up pretty bad.
I heard someone walk in the space we was in.
"You Mrs Moore?" They asked.
"Yeah, whats wrong with my husband?" I said and sniffed a little.
"Mrs Moore I'm Doctor Jay and I'll be treating and looking after your husband." He said.
"Tell me whats wrong with my husband." I said losing my rag with the doctor.
"Follow me ma'am." He said.
I nodded.
"I'll be back." I whispered in Will's ear and kissed his forehead and followed the doctor to a waiting room type place.

"Take a seat." He said and sat down and I did the same.
"Please tell me what's wrong with my husband." I said quietly.
"Your husband had a really bad fall of his stakeboard and hit his head really bad. Since he wasnt wearing a hat to protect his head the damge to his head is pretty bad." The doctor said.
"Is he going to be okay? We have two children and another one on the way." I said.
"At the moment it's hard to tell." He said.
I stayed quiet.
"He could have some damage on his brain which could make him forget you, family, even if his married. He could think he's a 19 year old him." The doctor said.
"What am I going to tell our 4 year old and 2 year old? That their dad might not come home, he might not be the same man anymore. That he doesn't love us anymore." I said loudly.
"Ma'am I dunno don't know what the out come of this will be." He said.
"I can't loose him." I whispered.
"We will do everything in our power to get him to the man you know and love. It might take time or he might not have anything wrong with him. We just have to let nature do its thing." He said and I nodded.
We got up and I went back to Will.

"I'm back now. Don't be dying on me William. I seriously can't live without you." I said quietly and kissed the back of his hand.
I sat in slience for ages until I felt someone put there hand on my shoulder.
I looked at saw Pa.

"What you doing here?" I ask quietly.
"Cant let you sit here by yourself now can I?" He asked and pulled another chair next to me and sat in it.
"How did you find out?" I asked and looked down.
"Ash. Dad has the kids since Ash and Jinx have to be somewhere and phoned us." He said.
"This how you felt when dad tried to kill himself?" I asked quietly not really wanting to remember.
"That everything is your fault. How your gonna live without them? Yeah I felt like that." He said and looked down.
"Will is going to get better. I mean he has to meet that little one your cooking up." He said.
I chuckled quietly.
"I have a scan tommorow, to find out what we're having. Will was really excited about it and that he was going to take the day of work so we could go shopping for baby things." I said and looked back down again.
"Everyone says the women go broody. I think in your case Will in the woman." Pa said and I chuckled.
"I think it's because he loves babies." I said quietly.
"Or the sex is really good." He said.
"I'm not even talking about that." I said.
Pa chuckled.
"Why don't you go to sleep and I'll keep an eye on him." He said.
I looked at Will.
"You don't have to leave his side. Just try and get some shut eye." He said and moved and kissed the top of my head.
I nodded and got comfy and tried to sleep.
