This Ride Is A Wild One

“Jack? Alex?” silence.
“Is anyone home?” still silence.
“Where the hell are they?” she wondered out loud.
She sat herself on the couch, the deathly silence killing her. Alex specifically asked her to meet him at the house, yet here she is, sitting in an empty apartment, staring at the piles of packed boxes ready for their move to LA. She decided to keep herself busy and clean up any mess left from last night.
One hour later and still no Jack or Alex. She decided to head upstairs to clean their bedroom then head for a shower.

Halfway through her shower she heard the front door open and close. She quickly exited the shower, drying herself as best she could before throwing her hair up in a towel and pulling on some pyjamas. She made her way down the stairs to see just Jack sitting on the couch, beer in hand “Where’s Alex?” she was so confused. Why would he ask to meet here then not show up himself? He couldn’t avoid this conversation forever “No “hello there my handsome and wonderful boyfriend”? just straight up ask where Alex is” he rolled his eyes, clearly joking “Oh I am so deeply sorry” she bowed in front of him “Hello to my handsome and wonderful boyfriend, how are you?” she decided to try out a terrible British accent. She couldn't keep a straight face, bursting out laughing as she took a seat next to him, placing a kiss on his cheek “Where have you been?” she questioned him. He sat and stared at the air in front of him, looking like he was thinking of what to say “Oh we just went for a drive, then I dropped off Alex at his place” he took a swig of his drink. Straight away Amy knew he was lying, but why? “Why did you take Alex home?” she pushed wanting to know why he didn’t come back to speak to her, Jack just shrugged “Because he lives there?” Jack stood before turning to look at Amy “Why are you so curious about Alex’s whereabouts?” “I… um..” she knew she had to tell Jack eventually “He said he wanted to talk to me” “About?” Jack was becoming impatient now “Last night” “And what happened last night?” he quickly asked. Amy looked down at her hands in her lap, fidgeting with them “It was only about something he said” “Amy just fucking tell me” she sighed running her fingers through her hair “He told me he loves me and may have tried to kiss me” she looked up at Jack who was looking straight ahead, a blank expression on his face “Oh” he said and began to walk away “Jack he was drunk! He probably didn’t even mean it!” she got up and walked after him. She followed him up the stairs, when he entered their bedroom and shut the door in her face “Jack come on! You can’t get angry at me about something Alex did!” silence. She sighed “Fine, be like this!” she huffed and walked down the stairs “Looks like a night on the couch for me” she laughed sarcastically.

Sorry for the short chapter, I'm just trying to get something at least written and uploaded! I've also had no time the past week to write! It was my birthday on the 23rd, then I've been in work, and then I've been out almost every day! Hectic. Have you guys heard Life of the Party? I love it so much, it's so deep and such a different sound, but it's amazing. Alex hitting them high notes too! Damn boi.
