“Please sing again!!” Zack begged.

We were at lunch, talking about band practice later today. Everybody wants me to sing again, but I really don’t want to.

“Brendon can sing too! Why don’t you ask him? I’m sure he’s a hell lot of a better singer than me,” I said, gesturing to Brendon who was kissing Hayley.
Why does everyone always yell at me and Jack for kissing during lunch, and not them? Annoying!

“Nobody is a better singer than you, baby.” Jack mumbled, leaning down to kiss me on the forehead. I scrunched up my face in annoyance, looking up at him.

“You’re not helping,” I muttered, he rolled his eyes and kissed my lips.

“Both of you are coming to band practice after school. Especially you Jack, we haven’t been able to practice because you haven’t showed up in so long.” Zack said, Rian nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, that’s because of this little peanut,” Jack answered, and hugged me closer to him, so my face was smushed into his shoulder.

“He’s come so far from calling his booty calls, ‘it’” Tay chuckled, making everyone laugh.

“No, you didn’t” I gasped. He couldn’t have actually called actual people he had sex with ‘its’ Jack shushed me and kissed me to make me forget about it. I have to scold him for that later.

“You are cute” Jack told me.

“Shut up and eat your lunch.” I grumbled, pretending to be mad at him

“But you taste so much better than this crap.” Jack whispered, and leaned in to kiss my lips again but I put my hand over his mouth.

“Nooo, Lex.” he whined, every time he leaned in to kiss me I pulled away giggling.

“Stop, this is torture.” he begged. I liked to see how upset he got, from just not being able to do a small thing like kissing me. It felt good knowing how much he likes kissing me.

“Lex!” he groaned, and finally picked me up and pulled me into his lap, placing two hands on my face so he could kiss me properly. I kissed him back, snaking my hand through the back of his hair, making him let out a deep, turned on breath. Oops.


The day went by quickly, I was so invested in my school work, that the clock seems to spin faster. Now it was time for band.

I’m starting to really like band practice. I’m getting a lot closer with my new friends, hearing a bunch of funny stories, and the best part is I’m with Jack. That’s pretty much the best part of every day, to be honest. I went home with him in his car to his house, so he could get his guitar, and we went to Rian’s house.

As I was walking down the stairs, I felt my foot slip out from under me. I nearly fell down the hard wooden stairs, but then Jack quickly caught me by hooking his arms under my armpits.

“Are you okay?” I heard Cass’s voice from the other side of the room.
Oh great, everyone’s here. This is so embarrassing, I’m such a clutz.

“Whoa, babe.” Jack said worriedly, steadying me on the flat ground, with two hands on my torso.

“Agh, sorry. I’m clumsy.” I explained with a shrug, he grinned a little at my awkward response.

“Isn’t that a side affect?” Jack asked, and rubbed his hands on my two arms.
He’s so concerned about me all the time, what a caring boyfriend.
Without him I probably would’ve had a gash in my head, and would’ve started bleeding all over Rians nice carpet.

“Yeah, but I’m fine.” I answered him.

“You would’ve broke your wrist if I hadn’t caught you.”

“No I would'nt!” I defended, even though it was true.

“No wonder you kept falling down earlier today, I thought you were high or something.” Brendon chuckled, making others laugh.

“I don’t smoke, Brendon.” I glared at him, even though I knew he was kidding.

“This has been happening all day?” Jack questioned.

“Stop worrying!” I told him, even though I found it really sweet.

“Bambi will be fine,” Rian assured Jack, he still didn’t look convinced. He looked down at me frowning.

“I just don’t want you to get hurt…” he mumbled, I smiled, and hugged him so I pressed my face in the middle of his leather jacket.

“You’re overprotective,” I claimed.

“Because I lo… I care about, Lexy. You’re my baby.” he explained, making me blush. I loved when he called me his baby.

Cass, Rian, and Brendon had huge happy smiles on their faces, all of them were looking at Jack like he just said they would pay each of them a million dollars.

What? He just said he cares about me? It’s not like he admitted his love for me.

When we sat down, they started gossiping about how short their relationship will be, because they are already fighting.

“Maybe you should make bets to see who guesses the right date.” Jack grumbled, making people get red faced.

“Huh?” I muttered, he leaned down to tell me.

“They did that with us,”

“We’re sorry about that!” Hayley exclaimed.

I shrugged, what’s done is done. I don’t care anymore because they were all wrong.
Personally, I love Tay and Zack being a couple. That means Tay will get over Jack.

Once Zack finally got here, they started practicing. They just did a bunch of covers of the Foo Fighters, Blink and New Found Glory. I loved watching them play, especially Jack. He could be an amazing performer one day, he effortlessly played all the chords, like he does it for a job.
I wish I could be like him. I kinda suck at guitar, and I’ve only played acoustic. I’ve always wanted an electric guitar, but my parents don’t support my desire to be a musician in the first place. Plus, we really don’t have the money for it.

“Alex! Sing!” Rian urged me, gesturing for me to come to the mic.

I shook my head no. I hadn’t practiced any other songs other than the ones I was writing. I was getting a little more comfortable with singing other songs, but not my own.
I don’t want them to be judged, they are all my thoughts and emotions written down into meaningful lyrics. It would crush me if they told me it sucked.

“Have Brendon sing for once!” I changed the subject, but all the guys in the band shook their head.

“I’m not looking to be in a band anyway, plus, I don’t think my voice fits what you guys are going for.” Brendon shrugged, not helping me at all.

“No Brendon!!” Hayley whined, grabbing onto her boyfriend.

“I didn’t want to join anyway, I just came here for you.” he smiled, and they started making out.

“And, Alex writes his own songs, just another one of the million perfect things about him.” Jack kept talking me up, and winked flirtatiously at me. I can’t do this right now.

“Really?! That’s what we needed!” Rian exclaimed, Zack nodded in agreement.

“Hey! I can write!” Cass piped in.

“Not as good as Lex,” Jack faught, making me cringe. Don’t make me sound so great.

“Shhh!” I told him, but it was too late.

“You have to sing one!” Zack begged.

“Sing the one that you were yesterday.” Jack told me, I nodded nervously.
I knew there was no way I could get out of this now. I got up, grabbing Jack’s acoustic guitar from the corner, and gave a tambourine to Rian, showing him the beat to do during the chorus.

I nervously preformed Coffee Shop Soundtrack, glancing at Jack every 10 seconds for reassurance.
He had his elbows on his knees, head in his hands, staring at me in admiration.

I think I did okay, I hit all the high notes I needed to without my voice cracking.
Which was surprising, because you know how puberty is.

I took a deep breath the second I finished, and blushed as they all started clapping for me.

“Don’t ever leave,” Rian breathed, putting down his tambourine

“Now you see how I feel about him,” Jack chuckled, and .I collapsed next to him on the couch.


Somehow, Jack ended up snuggling with me so much, he ended up on top of me, purposefully holding up very little of his weight himself, meaning to crush me. I hate when he does this.

“Cant… breathe…” I huffed, trying to push him off of me. Maybe I need to start working out.

“You’re so cute when you can’t breathe,” he grinned, placing a kiss on my forehead.

“Do you guys need some alone time?” Brendon asked sarcastically, because of the position that we were currently in.
Jack was weirdly open about all things that had to do with sex, I don’t understand.

“Jack, don’t suffocate your boyfriend.” Hayley scolded him, he sighed and got up, I groaned as his elbow dug into my stomach as he moved.

“Oww,” I whined, he pulled me into his lap. I’m basically just some sort of rag doll he messes around with.

He laid his head down on top of mine, because he’s so much taller than me.
I love being shorter than him.
I like how easily he can pick me up, how when he doesn’t feel like bending down to get to my lips, he just kisses my hair, and how I have to bend my head back, so I’m looking all the way up, to reach his lips. I’m a head shorter than him, I’m glad he finds it so adorable.

After it started getting late, Zack and Hayley left, leaving it only to be me, Brendon, Jack and Rian. Until Jack’s phone rang...

“Okay, okay, I’m coming. I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” Jack spoke to the person, I looked up at him as he spoke.
I had the urge to start kissing his neck, just to see how he’d react.
He always did that kind of stuff to me, when I’m trying to get work done or talk to other people, he’d start kissing me or squeeze my butt at an inappropriate moment.

“Ugh, god, I have to go guys. My mom is in town for a few days, she just got home now, I thought she was getting in tomorrow. Want me to bring you home, baby?” Jack asked, looking over at me.

I don’t want him to leave, but I don’t want to leave here either.

“No! Don’t go Alex!” Cass called.

I feel comfortable, especially that Brendon is here, and he can give me a ride home.
I hate being at home with my family so this is great.

“I’ll stay”

Jack looked surprised, but he smiled like he looked proud of me for being so social.

I gave him a small peck on the lips goodbye, but right after he leaned back in to kiss me longer and deeper, placing one hand on my cheek that drove me insane. He acts like we aren’t going to see each other for weeks.
Rian and Brendon started ‘ooooo’ ing, so Jack pulled away and gave them a look.
Of coarse, he leaned back in to give me one last kiss, this time on the forehead, and he turned around to leave.
I watched him walk upstairs, and realized this might be awkward now. Great.

“So, you two are getting pretty serious aren’t you?” Rian asked causally

“I guess so, we are together 24/7, it’s awesome.” I explained.

Cass and Brendon started to wiggle their eyebrows at me, indicating that they thought we were probably fucking all the time.

“Not doing that!” I exclaimed, making them chuckle.

“Why not?” Cass asked, getting a little too personal.

“Alex wants his first time to be special” Brendon said for me, I glared at him.

“Brendon!” I scolded.

“AWWWW” Cass exclaimed.

“Honestly, I'm surprised jack hasn’t jumped your bones, this is the longest he’s gone without fucking someone” Rian commented, making me frown. He’s not wrong.

“Geez, Ri!”

“Oh, sorry.” Rian looked sad

“No, you’re right. I’m just nervous, Jack’s been with everyone and I’ve been with nobody. I just don’t know how…” I trailed off realizing I was talking openly about my sex life.

“To do it?” Brendon finished, I nodded.
I guess this is what it takes to make new friends

“You should have Brendon teach you how to fuck a guy” Rian laughed, I laughed too.
That’s ridiculous

“That’s a great idea” Cass exclaimed, Rian and I stared at her like she was insane.

“Sure, why not?” Brendon shrugged.

“God, i was kidding” Rian exclaimed.

“He was kidding!” I repeated

“Come on Alex, do you really want to have sex with JACK with no experience?” Brendon asked, honestly just saying what i was so anxious about out loud.
He way that he emphasized Jack’s name made me feel worse.

“Fine, whatever.” I sighed, Brendon hopped up off his chair.

“Oh god, i cant watch this.” Rian covered his face with a pillow. I wish I wasn’t the one who had to suffer through this.

“I can!” Cass exclaimed.

“You’re insane” Rian replied.

I turned my body to lay down on the couch, and my eyes widened as Brendon took his shirt off.
He laid down in between my legs, it felt really, really weird to have anyone this close to me that wasn’t Jack. I felt my face get red, god, I’m so awkward.

“Okay, I’m not actually going to do anything, I’m just assuming that you’d be bottom, because you’re you.” Brendon told me, making Cass and Rian laugh.

“Thanks Brendon,” I said sarcastically.

“Well, he’s going to stretch you, and it’s going to hurt like hell-”

“EW, PLEASE NO!” Rian wailed, and I gave Brendon the same look of disgust.

“Well, do you want help or not?!” Brendon questioned, getting a little impatient with me joking around.

“Yes, I need help, just no details.” I explained, he shrugged.

He started to move his hips lightly against mine, not enough for it to be real grinding or anything serious like that. I still was as motionless as a dead fish because I was so terrified.
I hope I’m not this embarrassing with Jack during our first time.

“This is so weird!” I exclaimed, squirming underneath him because this is uncomfortable as shit.
I wish Jack could be the one on top of me, but that would defeat the whole purpose.
I don’t want to disappoint him, so he can't know about this

“Try not to get a boner, I know how hard that must be.” Brendon said cockily, making Rian and Cass laugh harder.

“Fuck you,” I responded.

Everyone was cracking up, I probably should be taking this more seriously because it could be helpful for later.
All of us were completely fooling around, and he wasn’t even going into detail or telling me things I didn’t already know. At this point, we were just laughing at each other.

Until, we heard the basement door swing open. Everyone shut up as we heard footsteps down the stairs, and before I got the chance to shove Brendon off of me, I made eye contact with a pair of dark brown eyes.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” Jack yelled.
